“On a side street in Historic downtown Springfield, is this quiet unassuming restaurant that we found quite by accident.Upon entry, it reminded me of an old Irish or English pub. The music was top 40 from the 70's-90's and the food was great! It had tables in addition to a bar along the back right side.We had a very enjoyable meal...far more to eat than we could finish! My baked spaghetti was cheesy, perfect texture and flavorful! My husband thoroughly enjoyed their Shepherd's Pie, one of his favorites! We hung around long enough to chat, enjoy dessert with coffee; carrot cake and rasberry cheese cake...definitely tops in my book!We will be going back again soon! Bon' Appetite!“
“First, set your expectations. This is a local bar where you can hangout with friendly folks and pay reasonable prices. It's a smoking bar with pool and darts and reminiscent of lower Broadway circa the 1990s.Next, enjoy yourself and have a great conversation with the incredibly friendly people, or just play pool for free and watch football on a Sunday afternoon.Kid-friendliness: Nope.“

“One of the best waffle houses I've ever ate at!! Hands down!!! That being bc the food was absolutely amazing!!! I was thinking hold on ... Aren't I at a waffle house right now!!????? Couldn't believe it. We have been twice in the last 2 weeks. 2 seperate cooks, both times great food. This was 3rd shift. Between 10pm and 1 am. The servers were very friendly, greeted us, always had a smile on their faces! I wish I could remember their names ? I know my ticket was $25 bucks and I tipped half that each time! If I had more money, I would have tipped more! It was that good of an experience. Most definitely for a waffle house at midnight!!!I will be coming back here again and again! Very pleased with this location!! Go Springfield waffle house!!Parking: I can only speak for 3rd shift hours, but it is located inside avshopping plaza, so if their parking lot is full.... I assure you, there's plenty of parking less then a rock throw away!!Kid-friendliness: I bring my 4 year old daughter with me EVERYTIME I eat at this location!! They are beyond friendly! She gets SO excited eating at waffle house. (Her GMA has worked for the company for years in another state) They are BEYOND kid-friendly! They even give her the little waffle house hat when she comes in! They Let her try to order, with SO much patience. Bc she's at the age she wants n tries to do everything by herself! Very impressed. ♥️“

“I had the 2 PC fish dinner with hush puppies and a loaded baked potato. This was served with white beans and creamy coleslaw. The hush puppies were perfect. Light golden, crispy outside, tender inside with nice flavor. Beans were nicely seasoned and slaw was fresh with a nice crunch. The fish was very good - thoroughly cooked without being dry. Generous toppings on the potato. Be sure to ask for their chow chow relish. It's a treat!“

“The Depot is possibly the best eating establishment in Springfield. Whether you get a burger (sometimes they have wagyu burger--yum) or something else, it is always enjoyable. Try the sweet potato fries for a nice treat, they are excellent. The chef has some dishes based on his Louisiana experiences that are unique. The main room with bar area is rustic and usually busy atmosphere with wood booths near the bar. There is also a simple dining room as well as a screened in in porch for dining. It's worth going just to see how the owners created a train depot theme in this old building, right by the tracks, though grab a bite while you do.“
