“A friend recommended “The Whistle Stop” to us and it certainly lived up to its reputation as a must-visit destination for a great steak. The meal was a delight from start to finish, with a variety of delicious options to choose from. We particularly enjoyed the soup, salad, and crackers with cheese dip (which was so good we couldn’t stop eating it!). The fried mushroom caps were also a highlight. Liked that it was a course meal. The food was okay for the price. My husband liked the chicken better than the streak. Our table was completely clean off before we paid. The servers were nice.

It is almost impossible to find a decent non-fast food restaurant in Greeneville, TN. The Whistle Stop menu was promising along with some favorable reviews. Made a reservation for 6 pm on a Saturday. Not necessary since the restaurant was 1/4 full. Quite a few takeout orders while we were there. The grilled chicken dinner was over marinated and dry.
