“Took our kids here while visiting San Antonio. Very delicious. All the kids commented that it was better than regular ice cream. My son even went back for seconds with his own money. Would definitely visit again. Wish I had one in my own town.“

“Unique textures and flavors. Bread different than most kolaches, with a light crispy on the outside and soft interior. A slight sweetness, but doesn't at all overwhelm the savory flavors introduced by the variety of meats and cheese. Don't sleep on this one. Perfect post-hike snack. Order one of each, if you dare.“

“Modern yet cozy atmosphere, fantastic drinks top to bottom (kudos to americano and golden milk), and a great selection of food for a coffee shop. Bonus: super thoughtful beer and wine list, and an unusually robust selection of non-alcoholic drinks. This place + Lamar pedestrian bridge + downtown library = chill afternoon“

“One of our favorite places to eat when we are in Austin! The most delicious smoked pastrami we have ever had! The pizzas are Neapolitan style and pick your toppings or you can choose one of their favorites on the menu. We also love their salads, today we had the Caesar as a starter to share. One is big enough for two! We love the pastrami with the Caesar salad as an entree too! Delish and I highly recommend!“

“I am new to Austin and am lucky enough to live a stone's throw away from Manolis. We have gone 5 times since moving so it's finally time for a review! Manolis is genuinely my favorite spot in Austin. First, they have a wonderful variety of sweet treats. From ice cream (dairy and non dairy), to pastries, sorbets, milkshakes, and coffee, there is truly something for everyone. Everything we have ordered has been absolutely delicious. Second is the service. There are few places I have been where I feel more welcome than Manolis. They are passionate about what they serve and make every person who comes through feel like a regular. The owners are genuinely some of the kindest people I have had the pleasure of meeting in Austin and they deserve business. Third is the location! Can be tough to get around the 290 construction but Manolis is worth every minute of your time. The complex has covered picnics tables, heaters, games, and a playground. It's cozy, charming, and a great place to sit on a beautiful night. If you are on the southwest side, GO TO MANOLIS. If you live in Central Texas, GO TO MANOLIS. Heck, if you live in Oklahoma, it's worth the trip. They are open Friday-Sunday and I look forward to their tasty treats all week. I will support this business for as long as I live here!“

“Kurty's Cookies has the absolute best cookies! We first tried them at an event and were so blown away by how incredible they tasted and they were still warm. Fast forward almost a year and we used our sleuthing skills to find them and hire them for our wedding! Every guest at the wedding and in the weeks following raved to us about the cookies. They were the highlight of our wedding! And Kurtis and Eric were excellent about providing a variety of flavors but also the BEST gluten free cookies we have ever tasted! Thank you for making our special day the best!Dietary restrictions: They offer a gluten free cookie, which is hands down the best GF cookie I have ever eaten! For reference: both my husband and I both have family members with celiac or gluten intolerance... so we have tried a lot of really bad GF cookies over the years. Kurty's gluten free option is PHENOMENAL!“

“Small little store.Their cinnamon buns are insane. Super big and shareable. Sweet yummy snack or breakfast bun.Always greeted as soon as I walk in. Friendly service. You just pick your cinnamon bun and they heat it for you. You can tell them not to heat it if you want it for the next day. And it heats well the next day and is still delicious. Haven’t had a bad cinnamon bun. Everything is so good“

“A lot has changed in Austin since I was a kid. Batch is one of the few improvements. Go early for the kolaches. Come later for the brews and food truck. They had great veg options and some of the best beers I tasted during a recent visit. They produce a great variety, including sours. They had this one ale with cannabis terpenes that was draught-only. Brag to your friends on the coasts that they never had something so crisp and good on a hot day. They just stand there stunned with a look of loss on their face. The boys behind the counter threw in a can of something for free. God bless them with easy living and cheap rent. I tipped them big, but they deserve a raise, whatever their pay may be now.“

“Great cakes. Big slices! I got the carrot cake, and I’ll tell you, I’m a carrot cake snob. Its takes a lot to impress me with carrot cake. Susie’s Cakes didn’t disappoint. I mean, wow! Wonderfully moist, nice spice flavor and bits of carrot throughout. Delicious! Outstanding. I have found my new birthday slice cake.“

“1st time visit, and you walked into the team making the cookies right in front of you! Very friendly staff and they took the time to explain their operation. Unfortunately no more cakes, but the marigold mint ice cream sandwich was delish. Really good combo of flavor and crunchy goodness And I got a chocolate chip cookie to go too. Let's see how long it will last. I'm supposed to share.“

“I finally found a bakery in Austin that has the perfectly crafted, out of this world cakes and pastries. It’s quite a drive from my house but I will even walk to this place for the deliciousnesses. My son’s new favorite and mine too…Plus their cakes feel so light on body and soul…Thanks to the one who bakes these beauties.“

“I was craving mochi donuts so bad!! Tomas suggested this place so I immediately checked them out. Small local business is a plus! They are currently doing a pop up at Dia's Market on Friday and Saturday. You have the option of pre-ordering your order for pick up. Be sure to check their social media or website to find their location. I ordered the following six flavors to try: strawberry shine, mangonada, ube rainbow, vanilla with crunchy chili oil, birthday cake and classic chocolate. They were soft with a chewy texture...perfect. Flavored beautifully. She provided me the instructions for warming them up for the next day. They were still good the next day. Very fresh and made with quality ingredients. They were all good, but if I had to choose one flavor I really enjoyed the mangonada. Yum! This was definitely a good spot for mochi donuts. Check them out.“

“Super busy little cafe around downtown Austin. It was a bit difficult to find parking and I felt like a vulture finding seating. Granted we did come on an early Sunday afternoon. Service was quick and polite. The line moved quite quickly, however the inside feels so cramped especially with all the people. Our food was pretty good and I got a sourdough sandwich with roasted turkey and burrata. I will say the burrata was amazing and I did not expect the hints of lemon in it! A tad expensive for my liking, but then again, it’s Austin I suppose. A good experience all in all!Parking: Congested area so a bit of a challenge finding parking.“

“This place is an absolute gem. The atmosphere is cozy, the staff was lovely and don't even get me started on the pastry case! I ordered the chocolate croissant and it was the best I've had in my entire lifetime- flakey, buttery and had the perfect rich chocolate flavor. I dunked it in the cappuccino and was transported to Paris instantly. This place just became one of my favorite spots in Austin.“

“Honestly I really like this place and their drinks. The staff is very friendly. I do find that they run out of certain items a lot and when I ask for them the staff can seem tired out, as though many people have asked the same question, and it can be a bit disheartening. I recently ordered a medium of a drink and I got a small. No problem, they gave me a medium with no problem but just added more ice and less drink. I watched as a good bit was left in my small after filling up a medium. They were very kind and apologetic, I just wish that I got what I paid for.“

“Sad for you if your birthday or occasion happens on a Monday ☹️Cakes are perfection. Sometimes you’ll get the occasional counter service lady that gives she’d-rather-be- somewhere-else vibes but don’t let that deter you from supporting this wonderful baker.“

“Memories created here. My daughter and I have been many times. So fun. So yummy. So accommodating (im allergic to real butter). Friendly, happy. Ive purchased 2 designed cakes and then also pastries on random days. Top notch flavors. I dont care if the flowers on the tables are real or fake - I do care if the food is well-made and delicious. We’ve also do e hogh tea once and hope to do it again. Very special.Dietary restrictions: Theyve been so kind about my dietary restrictions Most places say “your allergic to butter - tough. We have no food for you here”. Instead here, they said they can make it to order if I let them know ahead. Amazing.Kid-friendliness: Theyve been the best with my 7 yr old daughter. They made this such an exceptional great experience for her. Theyve even inspired her to make pastries, art or anything she wants to be.“

“Stoped by today, a Wednesday early afternoon. Needed a place to grab a last minute treat for a coworker’s birthday. So happy I did! Got the cutest cookie cake that said “make a wish” with a slice of cake drawn on it, a pack of mini vanilla cupcakes, a German chocolate cupcake, and a strawberry cupcake. The sweet older lady helping me asked if I had a candle and gave me one.All the treats were amazing!!! That was the best strawberry cake I’ve ever had.It is slightly more pricey than most bake shops but the quality is ten times better!“

“Love this location and all the good down home German inspired pub grub. Their large pretzel is a misnomer. It’s ginormous and can feed five. Their bread is the best in class and pastries are delish due to the knowledge of the bakers and high quality of the dough.“

“The loveliest space and sugar cookies! I ordered 12 cookies for a special friend and they were able to accommodate me in a shorter amount of timeframe (2 weeks) and let me pick up even though they were closed for a few days the week of July 4. These sugar cookies are so yummy and well decorated! Thanks y’all. I’ll definitely be back since I know Plfour Shop exists now ?“

“This little business packs a HUGE punch with flavorful cake balls! The guy who helped us with our order was so nice and personable. We are big fans of Austin Cake Balls! “I just wanted to send a quick note about how much I enjoyed one of your pecan pies this week.My wife and I are from North Little Rock, Arkansas, and we just returned from a road trip to Houston and San Antonio. Our path home took us through Austin, and I was lucky enough to catch Franklin Barbecue at a slow point on Tuesday. I loaded up on 'cue, and ordered a pecan pie almost as an afterthought.I'm a 51-year-old man from the South, so I've had my fair share of pecan pies. This was, without a doubt, the best version I've ever eaten. I just felt obliged to let you know.Thank you for the wonderful treat. If I'm ever in Austin again, rest assured I'll make a point to get another.“

“This is one of my favorite austin restaurants! It was fancier before the building burned down, but they've kept up the business with a food trailer until they can rebuild. Their courtyard is beautiful and I love being there. Also the ginger snaps are incredible. All good things!“

“A food truck gem in an area where meal offerings are slim. Thanks to Yelp, I found this one day between finishing one job and on my way to another. The menu is not huge, but I appreciate those who do a few things well. There was a single woman manning the truck, so she takes the order, cooks it, then slides open the window and yells "Ready!" It's up to you to figure out if it's ready for you or someone else, lol. At least her English was good so the order comes out right, and she thoughtfully includes taco sauce, plenty of napkins, plastic ware, and s & p in your to-go order without having to be asked. I got a taco al pastor on corn (double corn,as it should be) topped with cilantro and onion (I don't know where the lettuce came from in the posted pictures--I've never seen an al pastor with lettuce and didn't want any, so was pleased to see that isn't the way they are normally made) and a "chica"-sized quesadilla (1/2 of a flour tortilla) with cheese and pastor, served with avocado, lettuce, and tomato. She announced my total as $5. OMG...only $5? For food that will last me 2 meals? Heck yeah! I paid quickly before she changed her mind :) But really, the prices are phenomenal and the food delicious. The pastor had the taste of pineapple, and the meat was tender. They offer a green creamy sauce--very good and perfect with the al pastor--and a red which will probably take your hide off if eaten in quantity. You can see the millions of pepper seeds in it, and I wasn't in love with the flavor. These 2 taco sauces are the only offerings just like most taco trucks; no salsa. The men who were eating there at the same time as me had the beef and loved it. It's definitely my go-to place when I'm in the neighborhood!“

“THE MOST OUTSTANDING SERVICE. The people here are so nice, y'all. And the baklavas are just as sweet! Right when you walk up to the counter, they provided my friend and I a free sample. We were so surprised by the size of the samples too as they weren't just some bite-sized piece but were full-sized baklavas. My two favorites have to be the pistachio baklavas and the cheese-filled baklavas. They're perfectly sweet, crispy, and flaky. The pistachios were practically overflowing from the flaky exterior. They're also open past 9:00pm, making it the perfect place for an evening sweet treat.“
