“Holy cow is this plane worth the wait. We got there at 6:30am but we enjoyed the experience. They open the lobby around 9 and let you in to shop and use the restroom and sell beer. I’m glad we decided to dedicate half a day to this place on my one weekend in Austin. Don’t sleep on the turkey and the jalapeño cheese sausage.“

My friends and I ordered the ribs (Al pastor style), brisket and turkey. Everything was smoked to perfection and the sauce helped the meal come all together. I wish I would've ordered more of the ribs because they were phenomenal! Don't skip on this item when you're here- the seasoning is delicious!“

“We had the smash burgers and sides of the mac & cheese, potato salad, and coleslaw. The burgers were amazing and loved the cheese crunchies. The potato salad was so different but really tasty and the mac & cheese was the best!! I’m used to a sweeter slaw so wasn’t a big fan of the coleslaw. Overall, it was yummy and fun and we lucked out didn’t have to stand in line for an hour!“

“What a great find right near the Austin airport. We had a little time before soon the family of for the flight back home and Distant Relatives showed up on the app What we did not know was this was a truck yard next to a brewery. (Meanwhile Brewing). The did from DR was great and also those that tried other trucks white theirs as well. The prter at Meanwhile was quite tasty as well“

Be warned - they only do online orders (no walk ups) so save time by ordering ahead or be prepared to scan and wait (at 11am on a Saturday we waited 45 min for one biscuit sandwich - I would say this is about what I'd expect for a brunch time wait). Tucked away behind radio bar and coffee this food truck serves a legit smoked meat and biscuit mash up. The biscuits are flakey, buttery, and slightly sweet. The perfect conduit for their succulent, Smokey brisket. 10/10 no notes - delicious.“

The Beef Rib is melt in your mouth, fall off the bone, perfect meat fat ratio, smokey delicious goodness and completely stole the show! The other meats are great with that tender smoked goodness but the beef rib is where it's at! We tried three sides as well and the Mexican Corn is off the chain delicious! Smokey, spicey, creamy and addicting! Black's has been doing this for 90 years and it shows, everything was the best! We'll be back and highly recommend you skip the lines at the other places and head over to The Original Blacks!“

“We found this jewel of a “hole in the wall” while walking down Rainey street. We looked at the Google reviews and the Googlers did not disappoint. The reviews were accurate. This place is delicious, the food is overpriced tho, and service was speedy. We will definitely go back for these over priced tacos and quesadillas were soooo good.“

“Having grown up mosty in Hawaii I love Hawaiian BBQ. I've tried several places people have told me about just to end up disappointed most of the time I did eventually find a good place but it was in way south Austin and I live in Leander. I was absolutely thrilled when I tried Shoyu Sugar the food was legit and amazing. on top of that Rudy and Malama are genuinely nice and friendly people. The food is broke da mouth(which is a good thing for those who don't know)“

The staff is friendly.The parking can be bit tricky as the place is usually fully packed. “Today was “one of those days” so picked up Rudy’s for dinner. Walking out, the challenging day continued as I put my fingers through the bottom of the bag and then dropped my cup trying to save the bag contents. The cashiers are usually very helpful but a Rudy’s employee actually came out of no where to help save my bag of food with a new bag as well as a fresh cup to get my drink. Thankful Rudy’s staff are proactive when a hiccup occurs but also cognizant of their customers’ experience during their entire visit. Great customer service!“

“Came in from AZ to get some great Austin food. One of my clients mentioned Chi'lantro.We bopped in for lunch. I had the famous fries. They were very good!The layers of flavors & sauces were spot on. Perhaps the fries were a little under done. If they been crispier they would have held up to the wet toppings better. My husband had a pop chicken bowl. Very good as well.“
