Waited 2 hours in line today after waiting about 10 years to eat here. The staff was very friendly, made you feel at home. The brisket was incredible … on another level! If you go here: have the ‘espresso’ bbq sauce with brisket. Trust me. The potato salad was mustard-heavy but really good. It was worth the wait, in the hours and the years.
I came here straight from the airport and got in line at 1:30pm on a Sunday. I got my food at 2:45pm. 4 people behind me, the guy for the “Last Man Standing” sign. But there was plenty of brisket, ribs, turkey and sausages when I got to ordering. I was fighting flies on the patio - but that’s part of the charm. The time in line went fast! I’m a TX BBQ virgin - the price after conversion to CDN was high (CDN$71 for 3/4lb brisket, one sausage, potato salad, can of beer)....read full review

Franklin definitely deserves 7 stars but with Google Map’s limited thinking, I can only put 5 stars. Absolutely the best bbq I had in Austin! Will recommend to line up at least an hour before they open. I got there on a Wednesday at 10:45am and had to line up at the edge of their parking lot. Wait time to get food was 1.5 hours.
