“Great date spot. Feels high end but comfortable all at the same time. Small, cute, funky space.Gooey cheese, chewy and crunchy crust, solid sauce. What’s not to enjoy? The service was the best part. They were amazing to me and my exhausted kids when we ended up there mistakenly thinking they had a type of pasta my kid wanted. They didn’t. But. They were amazing to us.They took excellent care of us.Take someone you care for here when you want to feel “comfortable and high end” at the same time.Vegetarian options: Pizza with no meat is vegetarian so lots of options there.Dietary restrictions: It really is what it is. Even non- pizza has high probability of cross contamination.Parking: There is paid street and a paid lot. Both fill up. So does the tiny restaurant.Kid-friendliness: They were awesome to my kids even though this not really a spot designed for kids.Wheelchair accessibility: Did not seem super easy for someone in a wheelchair to navigate, but it can be done.“

“It was my first time at Gusto and I was told by my family that the food was always excellent, though service had often been subpar. We were there to celebrate my sister’s birthday. To our delight, and we all agreed, the service was excellent. My sister, and I both ordered the duck confit, which was an off-menu special. The duck was well prepared except that it was exceptionally, ridiculously salty. It should have been called duck con sal. We should have sent it back, but that interrupts everyone else’s enjoyment of their food because they feel bad eating without everyone. So we ate the salty duck. Everything else was excellent from the Chianti by the glass, the Amarrita cocktail, the mussels, focaccia bread, Caesar salad, pasta bolognese, Mediterranean Sea bass to the desserts. It is so surprising that everything else was so good and yet the duck was so overly salted. I will definitely go back, but I will stay clear of dishes that are off menu.“

“One of our favorite places to eat when we are in Austin! The most delicious smoked pastrami we have ever had! The pizzas are Neapolitan style and pick your toppings or you can choose one of their favorites on the menu. We also love their salads, today we had the Caesar as a starter to share. One is big enough for two! We love the pastrami with the Caesar salad as an entree too! Delish and I highly recommend!“

“I've heard many good things about Red Ash and was excited to try them last Saturday. There are in fact many gluten free options and they were very helpful explaining the menu and accommodating. The visit did not disappoint!Comments on the dishes: the sweet potatoes were yum; cauliflower came as almost two whole heads, flavor was good but not our favorite; gnocchi which was AMAZING (my favorite); the bone marrow risotto which was also delicious but definitely heavy and rich; my friends loved the halibut too; burrata with tomato was good as a starter and my friends enjoyed their bruschetta. Quantities were plentiful and we left completely stuffed, with leftovers!Comments on drinks: green thumb was delicious; I wasn't impressed by the blood orange marg unfortunately; signora in rosa was good!Parked with the Valet for $15.Dietary restrictions: Have gluten free options!“

“One the best sandwiches I have had in Austin. I had the gourmet Italian one with everything on it except for pickles and onions. I liked the bread, it was fresh and soft. “Came here looking for a bite to eat after a haircut and hands down best fresh pasta I’ve eaten!! The sauce of my truffle Alfredo was so creamy and rich yet not too rich that it couldn’t be finished. The waiter gave me a good white wine recommendation as well a little sweet and dry to match the pasta. My Caesar was fresh and well prepared. The bread was to die for!! It was light and airy and wished I asked where or how that made it. Although the server was nice they didn’t check on me often that I was left without a drink most of the time, but other than that this place is amazing!! I wonder why it was so slow this place needs more people in it!“
