I hadn't been to Kome since before covid. I remembered how great the food was, service and ambiance. I can verify even after so many years Kome is still at the heart one of the best fresh sushi spots in Austin! The katsou, madai,hamachi, Hama toro and maguro we yummy! My husband had the tonkotsu Ramen and can't wait til we go back. I am looking forward to the next flight I have out of Austin as Kome is my new spot to eat at before I fly out.
Food is extremely fresh! I love going here after work. The combination of texture and taste in every nigiri is amazing! Love the salmon roe with uni, fatty toro, basically everything we've ordered was amazing! Mango mochi is the best. Servers are very attentive and accommodating. Place is a bit crowded but I reckon it's because of good food.

Came for the sushi, but was blown away by the soba dish! Had a bit of a wait, but love that you can order drinks and hangout on the patio while you wait. The sparkling yuzu drink was so good! The cold soba was super refreshing with a flavorful dipping broth that you mix with all the toppings, and the noodles had a nice chewy texture. Definitely reminds me of the food in Japan!
