While traveling through Austin, local resident recommended stopping at Nickel City bar. Turned out to be a fun stop as the atmosphere took me back to the days of what a bar look like when I was a kid, yet the cocktails that were crafted by the mixologists were very much a reflection of today's finer experiences.
So glad we found this place! We were next door getting our car washed and the owner of the car wash recommended we go across the street to get a drink while we waited. The vibe in this pace was so cool. A friend that was with us said that the place felt like something from a movie scene. The bartender was very nice. I had the frozen Irish coffee. It was SO good!! I love souvenirs and the was excited to keep my cup. We will definitely be stopping there next time we are in Austin!

This has been one of my favorite bars in Austin since they first opened and it has only grown in popularity since then. The frozen Irish coffee is as good as you've been led to believe and the atmosphere is peak dive bar but with an impressive selection of spirits and a cocktail menu with some serious thought that went into it. I've yet to try the food at Delray but I've heard really good things. I'll update the review if the food merits it's own mention!
