“First timer here! Everything was fabulous! From the staff to the atmosphere everything was so good. It’s on the pricey side, but we had a great time and I’d come back!“

“Only next level Japanese dining enthusiasts would be able to immediately recognize that they have chosen well. If you are lucky enough to discover the Happy Hour menu then you’ve hit the jackpot. Do yourself a favor and go because ain’t nobody have dry aged fish! What?!? Yes this separates Lucky Robot from the rest of the Japanese places in Austin. Put it on the bucket list folks!“

“The ramen was delicious! The noodles for Tan Tan were thicker which I love! The broth was hearty without being heavy. The waitstaff was incredibly friendly and helpful with explaining different options. The restaurant had a decent number of seats for small groups/families. Very family friendly restaurant. “Shrinkflation hit hard here! While I love everything about Tatsu-ya in both Houston and Austin, I cannot believe that they put now just one slice of meat on the ?. Another six month and you'll get only a picture of meat to go with your bowl of ramen.Also, common issue with ramen in Texas is that even if you ask to make sure the broth is hot, you get it lukewarm anyway. I consider that a capital sin, like overcooked spaghetti.“

“The food is ok, overpriced. Compared with the fresh made small batch ramen that used to come out of Austin’s best shops it’s lacking. The congress location feels like a hip cafeteria, not sure what the intention was but that’s what I felt. Never the friendliest to go window, and flavor bombs are often forgot. Overall it’s only ok“

“I have ordered the spicy chill twice in two days now. It has got to be my summer favorite. Extremely fresh and crispy. The chilled pork and sesame seeds are so savory in combination with the fresh vegetables and ramen. The addition of the citrus dressing and Japanese mustard make this dish spicy and fun. Summer ramen is so good. Flavor-full, fresh, and delicious, what more is there!“

“Even with no points given for atmosphere or ambiance (it's in a corner of a strip mall) this was still a 5 star experience based solely and flavor, presentation and quality. Service is different but great, for what it is. You kind of have to experience it to understand, how to order, where the complimentary miso soup is, where the condiments are, etc., but nothing was lacking as far as we were concerned. We also found the prices to be reasonable, again especially for the flavor and portion size of our dishes. We'll be back!“

“I had “The OG” ramen, pan fried dumplings, and the potato korokke. Everything was amazing, but the star to me was the korokke. Among the best I’ve had, including in Japan. Staff were great, and good came out quickly. Really happy I stopped in.“

“Little shop doing its thing. Had the pork bowl with an egg and kimchi. Al of it was cooked well and tasteful. I personally feel that the atmosphere outside is the soul of the place. Catch an outdoor concert and chill with friends. The traffic on Guadalupe is hardly heard and it feels like you found a hidden corner of Austin even if it’s right outside of a major university.Deduction of a star just because it would be nice to have the tables outside cleaned up. Maybe it’s a shared space? However, it’s part of their little area.Great place to check out!“

“My new favorite restaurant when in Austin. I hadn't heard of it before but it was nearby and we stopped on a whim. If you think gyoza taste the same everywhere then you gotta try them here because they were easily the best I've had. Shrimp tempura ramen also exquisite, eel dragon roll was fantastic. The hamachi kama I wasn't a fan of but it might just be an acquired taste. Excellent service too!“

“I'm not in Austin very often so when I come to town I try to make sure and try something different. Decided to try Fat Dragon because I wanted some real soup dumplings. It was so good. I actually came back a second time a few days later.“
