“Every time we have friends and family visit us, we bring them to Torchys! In this pastime, we had 11 of us, and our orders came out quickly. Everyone loved their orders. I got the street corn for the first time, and it was amazing! I have a new favorite for sure!The staff was also always on the move and maintaining a great and clean dining area.Vegetarian options: My daughter is s vegetarian, and there are several items that she loves!“

“Place is great! It’s consistent with the service, food and atmosphere. Every single family and friend we’ve gathered with absolutely LOVES this restaurant. We have been coming here for years and the tourists that feel it’s a “tourist trap” need to understand what type of restaurant they are walking into- local, great food, service and family owned. Knockout martini is amazing, Bob Armstrong dip is unbeatable. The burritos and beef fajitas are the best by far. We will continue to support Austin’s favorite Tex mex restaurant and clearly the people that matter will too.“

“I've been in Austin for over 20 years and Kerbey Lane still remains my favorite place to go for local comfort food. The service is great - easy, not rushed, and kind people work there. They are an inclusive business and their staff seem happy at work. The food is always delicious and consistently prepared well & fast. My dog is always welcome on their patio. I love the coffee.If you're looking for authentic, casual Austin (not some overpriced "bourbon-infused chicken and waffle concept" where you need a reservation a year in advance), go to Kerbey. “We had lunch here today & it was delicious! My daughter had a vegan bowl, I had the lunch special with 2 chicken tacos & my husband had a breakfast dish. All we're very good, as we're the chips, salsa & queso. We also had margaritas with Avion tequila, that were delicious. I would recommend this place to anyone.“

“I knew it was going to be good, but I had no idea it was going to be that GOOOOOOOD!!!! The sweet potato taco was the best veggie taco I've ever had. For all the carnivores out there my husband had the crispy beef tacos, lengua (yeah it's a thing) and chicken tacos. It's BYOTequila so we did!! Ancho Tamarind, Thai Lime, and Horchata....we had them all!!! I feel so lucky to have gone on the weekend because I had the opportunity to indulge in their burnt strawberry honey and coffee dulce de leche sopapillas!!!! Home made chips and maza...whuat??? “they were busy and the food came out hot, fast and delicious. the drinks were A1. I had a smokey Paloma and my partner had a Mexican martini. Chris took CARE of us in the middle of a rush. made us feel seen. he even gave us an opportunity to vote for the restaurant on the austin chronicle website. Cory and Roxanne were also awesome. even though there was some dude at the bar giving them what for. if you're visiting and just want to vibe, this is the place.“

“Good puffy tacos. I also had a cheese enchilada. It was okay, but didn't have that tex-Mex flair. The chips and salsa was good. The waitress took our order quickly, and the food came out pretty fast. It was lunchtime. I would go back, but not for the enchiladas.“

They have handheld menus as well as billboard style.Lots of options for both omnivores and vegetarians alike. I had the torta with mushrooms , added Avacado and let me tell you it did not disappoint! The bread was really good and so was the filing however I wish there would have been more mushrooms, I loved the salsa options the habanero and tomatillo were my favorite two! Everyone at my table enjoyed thier meals and the drinks.Others had the vegatarian tacos , asada quesadillas, a chicken taco, a asada taco which they really liked, and a asada torta.We had the frozen margarita which was quite chunky (the ice) , however the one on the rocks was good and a decent amount of liquor in them. The Paloma spritz was quite tasty too.This is counter service restaurant where you order get a number and they bring it out to your table …. if something is needed after food is dropped you have to get up and get it. However, The staff was nice each interaction we had and the food came out pretty quickly.“

“We stop here every time we’re in, or driving through Austin, for the stuffed avocado. This time we ordered to go and ate in the car because we had our dog and it was too hot for us and her to sit on the patio. We arrived around 11:20a and were able to order quickly. The food was ready in about 10 minutes. We prefer the traditional style with with suiza sauce and the food was tasty as usual! It was a bit spicier than we remembered but also we weren’t getting refilled drinks in our car lol so that was probably the difference. We did miss having the chips and salsa we would’ve had if we sat down, but all in all, wonderful as always and we’re already looking forward to our next visit!“

This was for my sister's birthday brunch and the aesthetic of the place is always so cute. The staff were friendly and attentive all around. “I took my wife for her birthday yesterday and she had the beef fajitas for one. It was delicious. I had the filot mignon, medium well and it was great,along with the mashed potatoes and veggies. Great service and atmosphere along with the delicious food. We will return.“

Great vibes, good food, fantastic service: shout out to Joshua who did a great job catering to our big group with separate checks!
