J.A.K. is one of our favorite restaurants until a bad experience yesterday, 2.18.22 at about 4:30 pm. My wife was enjoying a barbacoa quesadilla until she began pulling out a long scraggly hair (@ 6") that had been embedded. It was a shocking moment, and it took a lot not to gag. The waitress took the hair and half eaten quesadilla back to the kitchen saying sorry, but not much reaction. We managed to settle ourselves & waited for the main course, while also expecting the manager to show up & acknowledge a grave error in food preparation. So, we finally had to ask for the manager & she came out looking befuddled as to why we had asked for her. She, of course, apologized and gave us the half price appetizer ($5.00) free. Wow! We asked how could this happen!? Answer; human error. And we understand, things can happen, but in the restaurant business it is major error, but the manager and waitress acted like it was nothing much. Be it a lack of staff/training or lack of managerial or cooking experience, it will take a while to get over this and even then, may have to drive back to Round Rock instead of Cedar Park. Also, because my crab stuffed chicken was tough & chewy. #Very disappointed.
