“Were interensted in this place and came to check it out on Saturday. Got double burgers and fries. Burgers were tasty and liked the Bodega sauce. As for the "screwed fries," thought the additional charge on the price was for the toppings; turns out they were much bigger portion than the regular fries, and they were good (took the regular fries home). Deco is fun as the products with recognizable brand looks "rebranded" with the store or Houston local markings/logos. No parking was available in the lot behind the restaurant but we were able to park in an additional gravel lot they have around the corner. Noticed that they sell Pudgy's Cookies. Nice local place.“

“Wow! First of all; the beautiful lady at the window reminded me of my grandmother and had me literally fighting back tears! The food was made with love! Love! We had the chili cheese fries which were fire! That chili is delicious! We ordered the double cheese burgers with bacon they were so big we had to save half for later! The meat was flavorful and the toppings were fresh! We closed things out with pineapple and cookies n cream shakes and they too did NOT disappoint! “This is one of the coolest restaurants that was recommended and then I kind of found on my own. It is such a cool spot not only is it like a grocery store, but they also have a restaurant and it’s kinda like a throwback till like the 19th 20s to the 1950s. It has a really good feel around the whole restaurant kind of has that whole olden day farmhouse field to it of a grocery store. The people is super friendly and super kind and very accommodating and they really made sure that I was having a good experience while I was there from the staff to the management. They were all really awesome. Thank you so much for showing me such a good time here.!!!“

“Stuffed Belly catered for a Beer Bike event at Hanszen College at Rice University. Both the tater tots and the sliders were phenomenal! Everything was seasoned to perfection and the flavors went together so well. I could not recommend this place enough.“

“Went to this place last Saturday to celebrate my best friend birthday. The place was nice and the food really tasty. We were a large party 10+ with kids (from 3-12 years old). Everything was ok and we were having a great time until we had some trouble with the checks (they messed up eventhoug we were very clear about who was paying what) anyway, this was ok because our waitress was very nice and patient so we didn’t care that much. When they already “fixed it “ there was a remaining amount to be paid but we didn’t know from where since we all have paid it all. This waitress call the “manager”and when this lady came out, she was with and attitude like “I’ll give you shots and a Margarita but I need this to be paid” let me clarify we never had a problem about paying, just wanted to understand why if we had already done it. We ended up paying and she brought this shots with that attitude but honestly we were having a great time. Later than this, we (the moms) saw her talking to our husbans and we noticed something was going on. When I approached them, I was told that we needed to leave. She said to them that our kids weren’t behaving so we needed to leave now. I didn’t understand at first because she didn’t say a word or someone else while we were there. She was mad because our kids were playing in the place right next to it and said they weren’t allowed, but the man in charge of that place said they were good. Anyway, she brought this plastic cups and in a very rude way was standing by us like we were criminals. No one else came to say anything, it was only her! She claimed that she had told us so many times (no even one) and that we needed to leave the place. She was rude, she had no respect at all, she made us have a really bad time which is sad because honestly the place was very nice and we went there because it was a “kids friendly “ place and all we wanted to do was to celebrate my friend! I never write reviews, but at this time I felt the need to do it. So sad to have to say this, but not returning to this place while still in charge of zero prepared person. (She never said her name)“

“It was a beautiful place and we were lucky to sit outside among the flowers ? the service was absolutely perfect and our server was very personable. I warned my friend the pancakes would taste like soap but it was her birthday brunch and she really wanted them ?‍♀️ the scones, though? *chef’s kiss*- must order“

“I love the food! It was delicious and flavorful. I ordered a little bit of everything to try. I love the salad dressing. It was very refreshing and the fries was well seasoned. The chicken sandwich was crunchy and crispy. The hamburger was good. I didn't care much for the dessert. Maybe if it was straight out of the fryer it would be good but it was just dough to me. Overall, I enjoyed everything except the dessert. I will be back for the burgers.“

“Some of the best old school diner style burgers in the South of Houston. Perfectly charred on the outside, soft in the middle. This burger patty is just the right of flavor. Fresh veggies, soft bread and how YOU want it. Fries were perfect and those onion rings, were really really good, almost like beer battered. Make sure you try the slushes especially with the heat coming!“

“I love everything about Dak N Bop EXCEPT the switch to pre packaged ranch. Ive been going since 2014 and I know you guys used to make your own ranch and your own soju (which thats another sore point). Please bring these things back! The wings are still top notch but these 2 points are sorely lacking.“

“Great burger from this hole-in-the-wall gas station restaurant. Fantastic burger. It tastes like gyro/shawarma from Halal Bros (at UT Austin) combined with a smash burger. By the way, this is the best smash burger I've had and I'd give it a 9/10 simply because I'm leaving room at the top. I thought the bathroom was a bit dirty, but the kitchen looked alright from where I was standing. Not the best place to sit down and eat. Thought I should also mention the service since so many reviews are bashing them. You order through a touchscreen. I got a smile, and they prepared my burger in under five minutes, so I'm happy.“

“As one of Houston's older establishments, Stanton's City Bites managed to morph from what was once a convenience store to one of the city's beloved burger destinations. A lot has changed in the First World over the last half century, but Stanton's has remained one of the city's most popular businesses. For me, it's become one of my favorite places to enjoy an American classic and is a beloved Asian-owned business. The place is easy to miss for a lot of first timers, since the building looks more like a house than it does a restaurant. The beautiful mural on the outside is what usually gets my attention but it's literally on the corner of Houston Ave and Edwards Street. Parking can be a challenge at times, but the steady flow of customers in and out means the wait to find a space won't be long. The interior reminds me of a renovated retro diner. I love the vintage decor pieces adorned on the wall and it didn't dawn on me that the place had Asian management until I saw the urns and Chinese characters behind the counter. It was a surprise but I'm all for it. (#1) The staff was extremely kind and current owner Theresa Fong and her adult children were doing a masterful job at running the show, cooking the food, and greeting every customer. Every time I've gotten a burger here, it's been great. The 1/2 Ib beef patties are a welcome departure from the smashburger trend that has been sweeping the city the past few years, and the heartiness of their stacked burgers is my usual preference. Truth be told, I haven't really had a bad burger here yet, thus I tend to get something different here each time. The Miss Piggie (ground bacon + beef patty + house candied bacon + hashbrown + cheddar + lettuce + tomato) is an easy go-to, as it combines a lot of sweet and savory textures. I do feel their turkey burger is highly underrated, and the holy cow (5 different cheeses) is cheesy in the best way. The blue moon (crumbled bleu cheese) is my pseudo guilty pleasure, but the monster burger (1 Ib of meat, 1/4 bacon, 4 slices of American cheese, with all the fixins) is the one item I can expect a nice food coma. Combine this with their tator tots, french fries, onion rings or pickle chips. There are also many burger alternatives, from veggie options to other sandwiches. Their club sandwiches are stacked (literally) and the tuna salad as well as the BLT, or smoked turkey sandwiches sound fabulous. I've heard good things about their chicken caesar. The prices aren't back breaking and the takeout is so popular here that I'd recommend calling ahead of time. They are a friend bunch and whenever I'm in the area I'm always debating on making a stop to enjoy a good, casual, and delicious burger. ___________ (#1) Is this not the most Houston thing ever?“

“The burger was tasty, but a little overpowered by the bun. The fries are good and the Lumpia were great. Our server was very attentive, and the place itself is cute. They have different specials for each day of the week where you can save a few bucks. I'm glad I finally got to give this place a try. However it didn't quite live up to all the hype.“
