“Was a bit weary about eating here based off some of the reviews...SO GLAD I DIDNT PAY ATTENTION! We stayed at Hotel Derek for two nights so we visited both during dinner as well as breakfast. Food was great! Service was even better! Tia was our server for Both nights. The first night we had Crabcakes, Cobb Salad and Lemon Pepper wings. Second night was drinks and light appitizzers that were being handed out. Lamb chop popsicle and pate. Morning time we had the honor to be served by Darius. We had the French toast with sausage links one morning and the next we had the heuvos rancheros and the Derek breakfast. Rico makes a mean cappuccino! We will definitely be back!“

“The food and service were great. Unfortunately we were hit by a massive storm which knocked out the power and the whole city was affected. The staff was very gracious and apologetic and they were concerned about our safety . They turned an awful situation into a pleasant one by paying for our meals. I will definitely return not because they payed for our meal but because they handled everything with class. It's a first class establishment. It wasn't noisy, the food and drinks were excellent, and the staff is very attentive as well as management. I go out to eat quite a bit for work related stuff as well as with my family, this is a top notch restaurant. I had the dry aged rib eye steak and it was excellent.“

“The Capital Grill staff were very accommodating to us regarding our need for specific seating. Our server, Tia Joy was most attentive without rushing us. She also made sure that an allergy concern was addressed with great suggestions. The beet salad and caesar salad were delicious. Our dinner arrived promptly and cooked to perfection. Overall we had a wonderful dinner and will be back. We'll be requesting her section. Thank you for such a memorable evening.“

“Whenever I am in Houston, TX, there is one place that I always make sure to visit - and that is the restaurant known for its incredible Lamb Chops. As a food lover, I have tried many different versions of this dish, but none have ever come close to the perfection and masterful execution of the Lamb Chops at this restaurant. The moment I take my first bite, I am transported to a world of delicious flavors and textures. While the service could use a few minor improvements, such as being more attentive to refills without having to ask, the overall experience is still phenomenal. The atmosphere is classy and the vibe is simply amazing, making it the perfect place to enjoy a mouth-watering meal.“
