“Packed on a Sunday afternoon. Like nowhere to sit or stand packed. Now admittedly we went to pick up our Comicpalooza tickets, which by the way you can't buy on site like their email claims. You gotta buy it online and suffer the ridiculous 15% "service charge". But that story is for another day I suppose. The staff was pleasant and today's special was Italian sub. Pickle spear comes on the side for no extra charge. Free standing soda machine with free refills (take that McDonald's). The outdoor strip mall it's in is like a blast from the past. Cafe Express. James Coney. Even JCPenney. Omg. I've time warped. But all very bright and clean looking. Not like run down as you'd probably expect to see these stores in. The sub hit to spot and now we're set for next week at Comicpalooza too!“
“There is something about this place! Always great service, very fresh and tasty subs, great selection and I love trying new subs each time. I love their bread. It is always perfectly toasted and soft at the same time. I always think I won't like my new selection as much as my previous, but I always do. I love this location. They do a great job. Keep it up!“
“Maybe because they had just opened and were busy prepping everything for the day. Everyone was very quiet and busy so I didn't get much interaction with them, was asked to please wait as they continued to set up. Sometime later my order was taken and unlike Subway I couldn't see them assembling my sandwich . When ready several minutes later I received my other still no friendly interaction everyone was still quiet and I left. This was my first visit with this sandwich shop, I will go back again. Nice size and clean.“
“Came in on a busy Sunday afternoon and my brother and I had a wonderful lunch. Kevin who is the manager/owner is doing an amazing job at running this place. The atmosphere was clean, the employees were friendly, the food was delicious, and he made us feel like we were eating lunch at a friends place. Come and visit this location, it’s by far the best! We will most definitely be returning.“
“Came here for the first time and those subs are delicious. While the food is great, the service needs just a bit of work. Not so friendly service and even when we got our order we said thank you have a nice day and still we got no reply back so yeah service needs to be a bit more friendly cause even if food is good we still don't like to go back to a place that you don't necessarily feel that welcomed. Adding a picture of the menu that looks clearer.“
“If you like subs/hoagies/sandwiches, but are frustrated with the lack of gluten-sensitive options, Firehouse should be your go-to. The meatball sub is legit here, even on a GF loaf. Service is typically kind and quick. It does get a lunch rush and the restaurant is a little dim and dingy--could use an update--but for a quick bite, you can't go wrong. All in all, on a scale of 1 to what you'd expect of a typical Firehouse, it's a four. If the decor/lighting was refreshed, it would be a 5.“
“Ordered in advance on the app. There was apparently a large take-out order being worked when I came in. Staff noticed I was sitting and waiting near the pick-up area and came over to confirm then made sure my order got worked in. I've been a fan of the New York Steamer since discovering Firehouse. If you haven't tried it, you should!Parking: Plenty of free parking.“
