“Stopped by on a Saturday morning around 8:30am…it was quiet, service was wonderful, and the food was delicious and came out quickly! I had the omelette, which was presented with beautiful flowers for garnish, and a side of fresh fruit. The dirty chai was the best I’ve had in the Kirby area. 10/10 recommend!“

“This food is to die for. It was our first time and the staff was extremely friendly helping us navigate the ordering process. Everything we ordered was perfect and the pita was the best we've ever had. I enjoyed crafting each bite individually with different sides and proteins; the flavor combinations seemed endless! I don't live in Houston, so unfortunately I'll have to dream about this food until we get a chance to come back.“

“I came to echoes finally after wanting to check it out for a while. I had two of the best cocktails I have tasted called lavender country. These are cocktails that dance so beautifully with the senses that they take you away to another space in time. I also tasted the echoes potatoes which were so divine with their Mediterranean flavor. I also got the chance to enjoy the band Aurum Son who played such inspirational music and had to keep listening. Echoes is upstairs inside a gorgeous white building with a huge patio to dine at and listen to music. They have themed music nights that are quite unique like Italian disco, Persian nights and much more. I highly recommend this spot for late night food and drinks or brunch and dinner.“

The gyro meat was impeccably seasoned, achieving that perfect balance of flavor that tantalizes the taste buds. The pita bread, soft and warm, provided the ideal vessel for the succulent meat. So good, in fact, that I had to grab an extra for dinner for my husband and he couldn't agree more. He was thoroughly impressed with the tenderness and seasoning of the meat. If you're a fan of lamb gyros, this place is an absolute must-try! I can’t wait to dine in next time!“

“Laid back atmosphere but classy. The staff, especially Abe the manager, were so friendly and accommodating, patiently explained menu items we weren't familiar with. The food was AMAZING! “Finally was able to try Big Bite and so glad I did. I ordered the chicken shawarma wrap and a gyro. Both were very good with lots of meat and the classic flavors you are looking for. Meat was tender, juicy and not over salted. Sauces were all great and the chili sauce had a nice little kick.Luckily, the owner showed up while I was there because he told me that the ‘over rice’ things are what they are know for. He hooked me up with a sample that blew me away with that flavor packed rice. That is the way to go. Excellent!! You don’t have to be out at the bars to stop by and grab some grub. So make a stop!“

“We happened to have to be in Houston for my littlest one pre-op appointment ( April 22, 2024). Came across a local diner close to where we had to be. Decided to give it a try. Made a good choice. My picky eater ate up dang near every bite of her food! And, everything else was absolutely delicious! Thank you to the very kind waitress. And a very good cook, Otto! “Fantastikós! A gem! Super friendly and we loved everything we ordered this first visit. You can tell there is love put into this food! We ate at the restaurant and ordered: Spana omelet (listed under brunch but we had it for dinner) with greens, meat mezze, gigantes, moussaka, lamb wrap with lemon potatoes, spanakopita, mint lemonade and white wine that I can't find on online menus. Plates are great for sharing. The menu there is more extensive than menu I've seen online. Our entire party loved everything (save our picky eater who tried and ate much more than she does at any other restaurant!) The atmosphere is clean, cozy, intimate and warm. I foresee this becoming a family favorite.“

“It matters to me, how employees are treated by their management. Where I spend my money matters especially now. An employee was serving a client ahead of me in a To-go platter. As he serves the gentleman. A man, about 5’10, black curly hair, in a fitted well ironed stripped long sleeve button up with black slacks came around to “help” as I assumed. But instead he grabs the platter out of the employees hand as he towers over him, looks him up and down, SCOFFS, and his facial expression didn’t match the situation, it was discuss and distain. Mind you, it was about tabouli being put in a place in the To-Go box. This happened in front of me, and in front of another client. He says nothing to the employee but an eye roll. And proceeds to serve the other client. Why does it matter? Why do I care? I have worked in the food industry my whole life, and just like that man treated the employee I too was treated in such ways. If you don’t understand, I’m sorry you have lived a life of convenience and haven’t had to experience being mistreated. The food is excellent the, the place is clean. The only thing that is lacking, is their humanity. Do better. Be kinder.“

“My favorite place to get a good sub!!! I love the decor and the place smells fabulous with the different scents they have for sale. Really great owners that are so friendly and take the time to talk to you and ask about your day. I can't recommend them enough!!! Place has been around for many, many years. Give them a try. “This is one of those hidden gems inside a gas station. The two items I've had so far were good and for a reasonable price. Food taste fresh and seasoned just right. Young lady at the register is very nice and accommodating. I've been back twice since my initial visit. Give it a try if you are looking for a good, reasonably priced lunch.“

“Accidentally ended up here during a late night drive and actually walked in looking for a vegan restaurant. The waiter (Juan) was so friendly that his cheerfulness convinced me to stay and dine on the patio of the restaurant. Juan recommended their vegan option, which was a vegan wrap. IT WAS DELICIOUS. I thoroughly enjoyed the scenery while sitting on the porch as the cars drove by. The music was classical and I was very relaxed while eating my meal because the ambiance was perfect. “We went early on a Sunday morning after Church as it gets super busy later on. We got a table but was a bit close to the door so we moved to the bar which was much nicer. Service was good and food delicious. It’s a little pricey and I think the portions are a bit smaller than they use to be but the quality is very good. It’s clear why people come here.“
