We're snowbirds from Minneapolis and were looking for a place to try some Houston Vietnamese food. This place was great!!! It was so authentic I had to use a translator application that the waitress had to order. The coffee was great and the food was delicious. I had "Banh Canh Long Xuyen" and my wife had "Banh Canh Vung Tau". I not sure if it was normally included with the meal but they even gave us a delicious tapioca desert!!!
The owner is very nice and attentive. They were so patient and explained the menu to us. My dad ended up getting the Banh Canh Ba Mien and I got the Bun Bo Hue. The Banh Canh Ba Mien came with this huge prawn. The owner and server explained that if that pawn wasn’t springy then let them know, they would happily exchange it.My Bun Bo Hue had the familiar meats but it also had a shrimp cake and crab ball as well. This place is amazing everyone is so nice and friendly . They give you free shrimp chips ( bánh phồng tôm ) for an appetizer that makes me impressed . We order Bún Bò Huế and Bún Riêu Đặc Biệt are delicious and lot of toppings . After that , they will serve you sweet coconut taro ( chè khoai môn ) for dessert . That is so a lovely place and we will be back !
