“This is by far the best ice cream I've ever had! The quality of this ice cream is vastly superior to any other brand I've had. The flavors are so unique and go so well together. I was hesitant for a while to buy this ice cream because of the cost, but it is worth every penny. The staff are so friendly and pick up is super quick and easy. They even have free lactase for those who need it. You can also buy any leftover flavors from the previous week at Pudgy's. Don't hesitate because they go fast! You won't regret it!“

Little food truck, parked on Fondern, parking lot felt shady when we pulled up but the owners big smile and the lively Persian music playing outside, made all our concerns dissipate.The ice cream was delicious and so authentic. The owner was so friendly and helpful. He told us his story of his families ties to making ice cream goes back generations. He's looking for a location to open up a brick & mortar and I wish him the best of luck bc a small spot on Fondern is not enough for such a big taste in ice cream!We'll be back and absolutely recommend.“

“This is the cutest little place. I was recommended to stop by from a coworker bc I loved her reusable cup. So I stopped in today and it was just such a cute vibe. I also got a cup of my own, two chocolate chip cookies and some donut holes. Everything was super yummy. The parking is a little bit of a struggle but other than that I loved this spot will be back soon!“

I was really hoping to get the Brown sugar hojicha I used to get from cafe Maiko, but didn't see it. Tried out the cheese foam matcha latte and it was really good. I took a trip to a matcha store in Philly and immediately looked for one after returning home to Houston, and it's BETTER than in Philly! I've been trying to come in a couple times a week, and I wish I could go daily! I'm a matcha connoisseur and love the level 3 matcha, grassy bitter but still sweet and delicious! My favorite is to get level 3 matcha ice cream(or soft serve when it's available, they change it out monthly for other soft serve flavors) in a hojicha float ? I highly recommend this place, and beg everyone to try it a few times to keep them in business! All the other matcha shops in Houston can't come close to this place!Dietary restrictions: They have alternative milks like oat milk for lactose!“

“As we made our way into Van Leeuwen, I couldn't help but admire the immaculate and attractive ice cream store before us. It quickly became one of my favorite places. I often pick up their pints from Target and Whole Foods. The smoothness of their ice cream flavors is unmatched, the richness is unparalleled, and the quality is just chef's kiss. As we entered, Michael greeted us warmly, and I couldn't help but feel a sense of joy. He was the sweetest ever and didn't mind us sampling as many flavors as we needed to decide. The store was empty then, so we shared some good laughs and jokes with Michael, making us feel more goofy and happy. While I sampled a few different flavors, the honeycomb caught my attention the most. The taste was incredibly delicious, but I had to be mindful of my lactose intolerance and not indulge too much. Surprisingly, they had a dairy-free version of the honeycomb flavor but with peanut butter and chocolate. Although highly skeptical, I asked for a sample, which turned out to be utterly delicious! I was wonderfully surprised. THAT was my choice. Two yummy scoops of that, please! “Stopped in here to get away from our normal ice cream spot, and what a score! The ladies were very accommodating because we had no clue what we wanted and were being silly, but they were very patient. The lavender ice cream was delicious, and the banana pudding ice cream was FANTABULOUS!! It's a bit pricier than our regular spot, but we'll worth it for the great ice cream. Really good about getting the job done, but lack the sophistication of customer service beyond hello and thank you for coming. Which, I wish companies would stop enforcing that generic way of customer service. Most ppl just ignore them, which makes your employees feel pressured just to be on Ignore mode from the general public. I’d rather they say… do you have any questions about this week’s cookie? Real engagement and education! That’s my soapbox rant! “Based on the reviews, I'd been wanting to come here for a while. I usually go to Culver's in Conroe. The drive-thru line was long, but it was worth the wait! I had the warm brownie sundae with chocolate custard... it was really good. I brought home a pint as well. My husband had the apple pie sundae saying it, too, was very good. Definitely a treat! The lady at the window was nice & didn't miss a beat. I didn't have to repeat myself, the order was perfect and the pricing isn't bad.“

I bought Dulce de Leche which has a creamy filling, Strawberry cheesecake, Pistachio and Passion fruit dipped with dark chocolate and peanuts. They all taste good and are not too sweet. The cost of the paleta is about the same with another store and it cost more than the grocery store paletas. Bottomline, these handcrafted artisanal paletas taste so good!“
