Food was amazing and our server Destiny was also amazing!! The place sets a nice vibe and environment and the live Jazz player was a really nice touch. I will definitely be back!

I brought my wife to KISS Houston for her birthday dinner, and I was really hoping for a good experience. However, the braised short ribs were so tough I literally could not chew them. The sides lacked any sort of flavor, which is disappointing for a restaurant that uses a soul food label. We were told the margarita machine "was not ready," and to order something else until later. Despite my reading several reviews stating the staff celebrates birthdays, our server told us that is not true and stated "You can order a dessert, and I can put a sparkler in it." The space is beautiful, and I enjoyed the atmosphere, but the food and service were beyond lacking. I can't help but to wonder if the service would have been better if the 20 percent gratuity wasn't added to the bill already.
