“Erika was our server today and she was very sweet and gave great recommendations! I'm visiting from Dallas with my mother and we got a fulling lunch before we head back and boy are we full! The food was delicious along with their special/seasonal drinks such as the lychee and hibiscus drinks. I got the tonkotsu spicy ramen which was very delicious tho, it you like your meals spicy, I recommend going up a level, I had the spicy level. My mother got the Jinya tonkotsu black, which is what they recommend and nothing was left in her bowl. The Jinya buns were also very fresh and delicious as an appetizer to get your palette started. We'll definitely be back when we make our rounds back to Huston. All in all 10/10!“

“Ad we rush to make it to the ballet, we were craving a warm treat before the show starts- and then my map pinged Samurai Noodle! The staff are so friendly and dedicated to their craft and it said true through the noodles. Refreshingly delicious and we couldn't stop slurping down our bowl of noodles- the broth is delectably rich in flavor- 15/10!!!“

“Ramen Moto is a GREAT alternative to other ramen shops that are in the area. We had the Spicy Black which was very good however the Garlic Tonkotsu was DELISH. If you like a spicier dish, I would recommend getting the Garlic Tonkotsu and add a spice bomb! The noodles were super good and bouncy (we swapped to thick noodles on both). Sub one star because I wish there were more veggie add-ins for your ramen to really give it a customized feel. The service was quick like most spots in post, and it was super easy to find seating. I'd definitely go back!“

The waiter was really nice to us and we got our food pretty fast. Their restaurant is pretty chill inside and they always greet you in Japanese and say goodbye in Japanese as well. “I've been wanting to try this place for a while now. I didn't have the time to sit down and eat but since I was in the area, I decided to pop in and get something to go. I got 3 rolls and an order of dumplings. All of them were so delicious. Lucky for me it was during happy hour and all of that only cost about 12 bucks. I will definitely be back. I really want to try their ramen!“

“Local sushi hole-in-the-wall type restaurant. The menu is really good, but we usually make up our own rolls and they accommodate it well. We enjoy our meals at Yoshi's.Vegetarian options: Plenty of opportunities to avoid the animal products if you are vegan or plant-based. Miso soup, vegetable rolls, ramen, appetizers, etc.Dietary restrictions: We ask for some basic veggie rolls most of the time and the results are good.Parking: Either in front of their shop or in the whole foods parking lot, no big deal.“

“When we have a meal so perfect that we want to give praise to the establishment, especially when I get treated by my sugar mommy, just to spoil ourselves and celebrate life sometimes. Full disclosure, the generous manager Jessie sent out 2 of her favorite dishes, but I would have reported our wonderful lunch here anyways. Whenever Vanessa has a craving for anything, I simply get that need fulfilled. She wanted some good quality sushi this weekend, so we settled for Soma Sushi among a few options we had in mind. Hoping to see the talented and super nice Chef Omi Higa, we opted for the seating at the Sushi Bar. My choice is easy, the usual Chirashi Sushi, 8 kinds of premium Sashimi over a bed of Sushi Rice with deliciously Pickled Vegetables. Vanessa has a more refined and discrete taste, so she ordered Japanese Uni Sea Urchin, Salmon, O-Toro Fatty Tuna, Tobiko Flying Fish Roe, Spider Handroll, and the trusty old California Roll. The fish is top-notch, naturally flavorful, fresh, and has that faint fatty seafood fragrance that I love; I cannot ask for better quality. I can elaborate with more empty words, but when the ingredients are premium quality and served with well-seasoned and temperate Sushi Rice, there should be as little extra interference as possible. All the Nigiri and Sashimi we had are at max enjoyment level for us. Chef Omi Higa, even though was shopping for his ingredients away from the restaurant, went out of his way to notify the manager Jessie, and she gracefully introduced herself and said hi to us. As we were slowly enjoying our food, and I mean, I really take my time taking deliberate bites, Jessie sent out her favorite dish for us to try. The Madai Tiradito is composed of Sea Bream Sashimi, Orange, Yuzu, Olive Oil, Black Sea Salt, Yuzu Tobiko, Kaiware, Red Onion, Wasabi Yuzu, Serrano, Micro Rainbow Mix, all beautifully plated as shown. Can you imagine the dance of flavors and textures waltzing in your taste palate? Peter or Pedro from Guatamala who took great care of us behind the Sushi Bar, prepared this extraordinary dish for us too. We get to know each other and talk about food and travel, which makes our dining experience so much more hospitable. Just when we were finally attempting the finish all our food, a second surprise arrived. Jessie promised it's the last one because she has to let us try their best seller of the house, Japanese Wagyu Shumai. Don't you just love the sound of that? Premium Wagyu Beef stuffed in a Shumai Dumpling, topped with Truffle Ponzu and Garlic Crunch, can you understand now why this is the top-selling item? We all know the quality and taste of food are always impeccable at Soma Sushi, in addition, the people, management and staffs all handily contribute to elevating an otherwise already perfect lunch. We just hope to can make it here more often.“

“I’ve been to this place several times and they never disappoint. I’ve gotten various items, but with this trip, I got the tonkotsu ramen. Nice heat, good noodles, delicious chashu, and delightful broth. I wish the broth were a bit creamer, but other than that, it’s amazing regardless. Service is quick and friendly. Interior is cozy with a good amount of seating. I recommend a visit! They have a few other locations around Houston as well.“

“It is killing me that I visited this place years ago, but I do not remember when or with who. Anyway, I went with the intention of trying a new ramen place, and this one had the highest ratings in the area. The place sure is a little small inside, but it wasn't full, so it was fine. The service was decent too, and we got served pretty quickly. I think they were playing some pop in the background for ambiance. As for the food, I got a spicy miso ramen bowl, gyoza, and my cousin got a sushi roll. I picked mild for my spice level, but I think I would have been fine at the higher one. I think the place was a safe choice; the food was good, the service was good, and the ambiance was okay, but nothing too out of the ordinary. I would go again for sure if I am in the area and in the mood for a promised comfortable and fresh meal.“

“I was REALLY pleasantly surprised by this place! Not only was there a good selection of different broth styles to choose from, the one I got (Tonkotsu Black) was so, so good. Thick creamy broth, perfectly cooked softboiled egg, wonderfully rich flavor. The ONLY tiny issue was that the large number of sprouts on top will quickly overpower the flavor of the broth unless you get rid of most of the sprouts before mixing up the soup. Luckily, that's extremely easy to do, as they come on top of the soup rather than mixed in. Definitely will be back!!“

“We went to this place near university campus. Spent $50 and we didn’t enjoy our foods. We ordered beef bowl, meat is not even warm, rice is so hard and dry. Beef bowl isn’t taste beef bowl. We got Ramen that taste disgusting and we didn’t even finished them. Taste like instant! Bathroom smells stinks never clean. The tables are dirty we got to clean them ourselves. Place smells!“

“My wife and I flew in from GA and decided to get some Ramen. Our Bartender DJ was by far the best service we’ve had in town. We got great shots and he gave us detail and the history of each bottle. Definitely recommend coming to this place for the food and for our guy DJ. Thanks man we’ll definitely be coming “

“I wish I lived in the area. If so,I’d eat here weekly. Excellent flavor and good portions of what we ate: egg rolls, kimchi, pot stickers, pork fried rice. I didn’t even sample the ramen. My nephew who eats here regularly assures me it’s perfect. Clean and cozy!“
