“After seeing on television that the restaurant won a James Beard award, I put it on my list of places to go. The expectations were pretty high, and our party was not disappointed. The medium spice level was perfect...flavorful with a kick. Drunken Noodles, Krapow Beef, and the Meatball Appetizer were our favorites. This restaurant was an hour drive for us and did not disappoint. It was worth the trip, and we will be back. The only two criticisms would be that their front door is darkened, and from outside, does not look like an actual entrance. And the noise level was a little high, so our server had to repeat herself a few times, but she didn't seem to mind and checked on us regularly to make sure we were enjoying ourselves“

“I LOVE this place. The food is shockingly fresh, prepared to perfection and served by friendly folks who give great suggestions. The little market in the back was a great surprise and I picked up coffee and candy on my way out. Food was so good. I door dashed the same meal two days later. Try it, you won’t be disappointed. My new #1 Thai Spot!“

“The food is good. Waiting time is about 10 minutes for 3 dishes. It's acceptable. I don't like the table and chairs there. They're so close to each other. The space shares the common ground of the Hong Kong market. It prevents your privacy. The food is contained in boxes except the soups. I think I will not come back unless I need convenience when I am shopping in the Hong Kong market. The price is a little bit high in comparison with the service I received, but it's acceptable. You should come and try once.“

“This is one of my favorite spots in the Montrose area for a quick, delicious, reasonably priced meal. It's a smaller spot with counter service. We've been going there for close to a decade and never had a dissapointnent. They offer a solid selection of the usual curries and noodles as well as rotating/seasonal specials. Inline their mango curry, and they have done a very nice pumpkin curry around Haloween. Ialways start with thr fish cakes, one of my Thai favorites and not common in all Thai shops. Spice levels from are from 1-5 to suit all tastes and even the 5 is not brutally hot, but I'm happiest at 4. Everything is cooked to order so it's not quite grab-and-go fast, and your dishes likely won't all come out at once. It's clean and bright and pleasant inside and they have a few outside tables in front for when the weather is nice and the trsffic on Montrose is light enough to talk and breathe over. Limited parking right in front but they have expanded parking right next door on Montrose and I've never failed to find a spot. Soft drinks and a fair selection of Asian and local beers.“

“I'm so happpy they opened a rooster and rice here in Houston. I used to eat the original location all the time when I lived in Northern California. A true gem and great addition to the neighborhood. They deserve all the best and I wish them the best of luck and great success here in Houston! Hainan chicken is one of my favorite things to eat and they do it well. I feel the city doesn't have very many options for hainan chicken so I'm glad to finally have one that does it right. The area is in a cute little area where there's lots of other restaurants nearby. Seating area is small for rooster and rice but right outside there's lots of patio seating for the shared space and a huge green area for kids to play.“

“We went by before the lunch rush and were warmly greeted by the waiter. The Disco Dumplings and Chili Oil Edamame were both very good and were served very quickly. The Honey Chicken Bowl was good, but was made significantly better with a drizzle of the soy sauce from the Disco Dumplings dish. The Chili Oil Beef Ramen was lackluster, and was definitely closer to a pho than a ramen. The beef was tender but the broth was not overly flavorful and there wasnt much chili oil in the soup. It was a weird dish that seemed like it had a lot of potential to be a great ramen, but it needs work and thicker broth to be appropriately called a ramen“

“Solid four! Food: the food was quite good at least my dish. I had the panang beef and it was very spicy and different. It was more like beef tips if anything. Extremely spicy with lots of flavor. I do wish I would have asked for the egg well done. The pad Thai was alright. The shrimp didn't taste fresh and they also didn't peel the shrimp. For the prices they are charging they definitely need to peel the shrimp. I would try the pad this again with chicken or beef. Not shrimp. The prices are high. The portions are medium to small and don't reflect the price. Maybe the are paying high rent at the post. I would definitely go back and try more food off their menu. We we're definitely satisfied with our meal. Great date night with my baby.“

“I have lived in Thailand for a few years. I will say that this is the most authentic Thai place I've been to in the US outside of California. Tried the "Thai hot" level of spice in my panang curry. It's that eye watering, nose dripping kind of spice level so proceed with caution. The decor is also beautiful and cozy. No complaints about the service. The prices are very reasonable. I HIGHLY recommend this place.“

“The food is excellent if you stick to what you know that you’ll like. My wife loves Brussels sprouts and Bangkok Social has some of the best you’ll ever find. Their spin on the Pad Thai is creative, I didn’t think I’d like it but it’s now my favorite pad Thai in town. Their level 4 “hot” is really good, especially if you like spicy food but don’t want to sweat while eating it. I tried a couple of new things to me, the first being the Mango Mint Lemonade which was the best thirst quencher I could’ve asked for. The other new thing that I tried was the Pineapple Fried Rice with Shrimp and Peanuts…. Hated it, but I do think their basic chicken fried rice is sufficient going forward. The House Special Chicken is a solid option if you’re unsure of what to try. Overall, I really like this place and would recommend it to anyone. It’s very clean and the team is nice. Two thumbs up!“

“We ordered the Fried Chicken Wings for our appetizer; the sauce was out of this world to me! I loved the garlicky flavor. I had the Pad Kra-Pao (Thai Basil) and my husband had the Massaman Curry. Both had amazing flavor. We were especially impressed with the Massaman Curry. The flavor was the best I have ever had, personally. We will definitely be back!“

“This place is now called Khaosan Road Thai Restaurant, stopped in for a quick dinner and we were pleased by the food and service. We had appetizers entrees and dessert and everything seemed made to order. The only thing we didn't like was the red sauce they brought out with fried eggplant.“

“I’ve been under the weather and wanted a good soup so ordered delivery from here. OMG. I think I just found my new favorite soup. The Tom Kha Gai (with chicken) was absolutely delicious. Silky smooth with layers of full flavor, and a little sweetness. I am SO glad I gave it a try. The Panang Curry was also very tasty and hit the spot on a chilly night. I went low on the spice level for both dishes (thankfully) and servings were generous. I highly recommend this little place.“

“Some of the best pad Thai I’ve had! I got it Thai spicy and it did not disappoint, my mouth was watering ?. When I went back again I got it medium spicy and it was just as good. The crab Rangoon’s were so cute and not greasy. Thai tea was perfect. Service was really good too. I’m not sure why it wasn’t busy both times I went. They deserve to be packed. 10/10“

“I work near here. My coworkers and I come here weekly. All of the currys are fantastic, but my current go to is the Phad Prik with chicken. The sauce is very savory and I can’t get enough.
