10/10 Jenny took great care of us! The soft shell crab, spicy shrimp sushi rolls and the shrimp sushi with caramel sauce were amazing! Shaken beef was also delicious. Scallops were melt in mouth tender!

My husband and I had the pleasure of dining at ToriI on a quiet Wednesday evening, and it turned out to be a delightful discovery. This gem of a sushi spot offers not just a meal, but a truly unique experience, thanks to the hands-on involvement of the owner. His presence adds a personal touch that permeates the atmosphere, making every moment feel specially curated. Each piece of sushi we tried was a testament to meticulous craftsmanship and exceptional quality. The flavors were vibrant and memorable, particularly the Uni, which was simply sublime. For those who have yet to try Uni, ToriI will set the bar incredibly high. It’s rare to find a place that serves with such dedication and finesse.ToriI isn’t just a restaurant; it’s a destination for anyone seeking to elevate their dining experience. Whether you’re a sushi connoisseur or a curious newcomer, you’ll find that ToriI offers something not just to taste but to cherish. This isn’t just a meal; it’s an experience that you’ll compare all others to. Highly recommended for an unparalleled culinary adventure.Parking: Nestled just off the main bustle of Asian Town, near the well-known H Mart, ToriI is a hidden treasure waiting to be discovered. While it’s slightly set apart from the crowded strip centers, its location is both accessible and easy to find for those venturing beyond the main thoroughfare.

I actually don’t know why the rating is so high…They have only 4 “chefs” rolls, which are tiny and really bad.. we didn’t even finish, tried one of each and stopped…the portions of other food are small too.. they don’t provide soy sauce/wasabi/ginger (only when you ask for), and soy sauce is only one (usually you can choose between two types like less salt or smth like that). And they provide tap water..it s gross, impossible to drinkit’s nice inside yes, so atmosphere is pleasant and it’s clean there, the staff is really polite, but that’s pretty much it about this place

We sat at the sushi bar and asked to enjoy the Omakase experience. The chef was fantastic! We told him we would try anything but a couple of us didn't like spicy. He prepared many dishes for us, each one absolutely phenomenal! This place is an absolute gem. The service was fantastic, everyone super friendly and beyond helpful. Absolutely fantastic experience.

Average at best! While the ingredients were fresh, the portion sizes left much to be desired. The Spicy Tuna Hand Roll was underwhelming, with hardly any tuna flavor, and the yakitori skewers lacked seasoning. I’m unlikely to return.

Most excellent. The only comparison I could give is perhaps Hidden Omakase. That said, this was priced FAR more fairly. It is slightly slow, but that's the nature of this type of place. We'll worth it in my book. I can see why they take reservations! We luckily we fit at the bar, which we preferred anyway. They are also still somewhat new, so I understand not everything is optimized just yet!!We ordered a decent amount of food, and it was all delicious. We loved talking to the chef as he worked his magic on all the delicate foods.Would love to return with some spare the money for such a delicacy! They should make a video. I'd offer to help with that!

Wow! I absolutely loved this place. If you are looking for HIGH quality sushi this is it. It has a small menu and we ordered 10 different items and loved every single one. Jenny greeted us and we had amazing service the whole time. Perfectly curated design in the food and decor. This will be our date night spot moving forward. Absolutely impressed. Katy needed a top tier sushi place.

Came here for lunch with a friend. Not sure why I had to give a credit card for a deposit to make the reservation. It's a new restaurant that was empty when I walked in. Presentation of the food was great, quality was so-so but the service was impeccable. Great staff and they were attentive.

We finally found our Japanese spot in Houston! We went out for a casual Tuesday sushi dinner and ended up with an unexpected elevated dining experience. This place has a quaint charm to it that's deceiving because everything from the food to the service will blow you away. We enjoyed some nigiri, karaage, a la carte sushi, cold, and hot plates. Everything was great and we were well taken care of. Top tier quality especially for the price point. Thanks again!

What a gem! They recently opened in Katy Asia town by Mango Mango. Interior is so quaint yet upscale. Few sesting so it's a bit cramped but plenty of sushi bar seating. The seafood was so fresh, with some fish flown in from Toyosu Market in Japan. The oysters were on the smaller side but so fresh it did not taste fishy. The food was flavored so well, nothing too strong, and complemented the seafood perfectly. The softshell crab fried to perfection paired with papayas and tomatoes in a citrus-y sauce. Even the sauce topping the sake toro was delicious! Portions are on the smaller side for the price you pay but the food is so worth it! Would definitely come back when we are in that part of town again.

I had really high expectations for this place. Let me tell you the conclusion first. My husband and I ate more than $200 for ( $260 with tax &tip) for our lunch, but we were still hungry. The size of sushi was way too small. I've never seen such a tiny sushi in my life. It was about half the size of my pinky and my pinky is very small. The size affected my appetite badly and we stopped ordering sushi. The price was high end, but the portion of food was really disappointing. Once again.. it's like a miniature sushi. My husband and I concluded not to go this place. Once is Enough.

For my wife's birthday we took her to Torii for an amazing omakase experience. This was our first omakase experience ever. Only heard about it on social media so I was intrigued enough to take for her special day. The food and chef were amazing I will include pics of the foods we tried with the name of the dish. The ambiance wasn't anything special. We sat at a bar in front of the glass. I imagined there would be a special area for such an expensive dining experience especially since I had to make a reservation that would have cost us $200 to miss. The bill was a little more than I anticipated but we weren't really sure how long the whole dining experience was gonna last. I thought it was gonna be a set price for items the chef prepared. But this is the problem with using your imagination about an experience. All that aside I would have easily gave 5 stars if it would have been a nicer arranged seating and if the price was a little better. We definitely enjoyed every bit of the food. They prepared brussel sprouts in a way that made them so delicious and I've never liked brussel sprouts, ever! We will be back for more specific items but probably won't do the Omakase again.
