“1st time here. Just googled food in my area and the menu and prices looked good so I gave it a try. Soooooo delicious!!I’m from Florida so I know good Jamaican food when I taste it and this was it!! Very tender and flavorful. I’m picky about my plantains, but these were nice and soft and sweet like I like them. Definitely recommend this place!! another small business that many people may not know about but it’s worth the drive. I live in galleria but I’ll make this trip any day for these oxtails.“

“I was in town for work and looking for some unique food. Dakar Street food did not disappoint!! The Saturday Special (Cepp Jen bou khong) was recommended by the hostess and it was by far the best fish I have ever had. A full tilapia seasoned perfectly and the meat fell right off the bones. The rice and veggies were just as good and round out the meal perfectly. The ginger juice was also amazing! A huge amount of food for the price! I had to bring the extras home. I'll likely be back before heading home at the end of the week.“

“Service here was great, and my waitress was very nice, but the food was just okay. Felt like I could cook it myself.Came here after a run and was very hungry and ordered the picadillo with rice, black beans, and plantains. The sweet plantains (recommended by my waitress) were great, while the beans and picadillo were under-seasoned and a tad bland. I don't recommend either. The rice was very good.In short, excellent service and plantains, but my picadillo and black beans were bland.“

Bye when I say the Oxtail Tails/Peas and rice and stewed cabbage was off the chain and CD Juice top the meal off.. IF YOU ARE EVER IN HOUSTON TX AND LOOKING GOR JAMAICAN FOOD THIS IS A MUST STOP PLACE.. I will be returning“

“The sizzle and smoke of the tabletop Korean & Caribbean barbecue is one of the definitive features of this restaurant. The flavors of the meats has a unique taste were you experience the fusion of both worlds. I just wish they will serve it with more vegetables like the lettuces to make wraps also carrots green onions cucumbers and kimchi or other Korean or Caribbean sauce for dipping. Over all it’s a great experience.“

“The jerk baked potato was very good. The plantains were cooked perfectly. I didn't love the Mac and cheese, the texture was mushy. I also didn't love the rice and peas, it wasn't as flavorful as I prefer. But the meats were excellent.“

“This place is by far the best I’ve tasted in Houston Texas. Everyone was nice the place is very clean. My husband and I can’t stop hyping them up they are just that amazing. From the homemade sauce to the rice everything tastes like it was made with real love and that’s the type of food I want to be eating they can have my money any time.“
