Ordered the 2 pc catfish meal. Came with hush puppies and 2 sides. Soooooo good. Hush puppies had great flavor. Mac n cheese and cabbage tastes like my mother in laws cooking—delicious! Of course grabbed some banana pudding to go. Food was hot, flavor was great!

Ordered food through DoorDash, the food does not taste like southern cooking, there was no flavor, the turkey leg was overcooked and the cabbage was undercooked. The rice was bland, barely any gravy and the cornbread was dry. We definitely will not be ordering from here again

Was looking for brunch. Stumbled upon this Black Family Owned place. So much good smelling and good looking food on the line, it took me a while to make up my mind. After placing our orders, along with deserts. We dined in. Food was seasoned well. I had the turkey wings, with rice n gravy. My two sides, mash potatoes and blackeyed peas. My mashes potatoes were not hot. My girlfriend's mac and cheese wasn't either. That was my only issue with the food. We ate. Service was great, I was even told a little about the owners. Wasn't crowded at all. There were about 12 inside eating, mostly elderly folks. There was a celebration of life going on in a back room off the dining area...I do recommend and I will be back.

I stop in at 11 am right when they opened. There was one customer ahead of me and a guy behind me. The lady before me order her food to go. The server working the left side plated the lady's food ahead of me. Then I was next in line. The server ask me what would I like. I told her, I wanted a veggie plate to go. She said the lady severing the veggie will plate my food. Ok, I move in front of her to be served. I told her I wanted a veggie plate to go. She proceeded to wait on the guy behind me and totally ignored me. I said, I was here before the guy behind me. She said yeah, but I am just going to hurry up and fix his plate. I told her no, then the guy behind me told her to go ahead and wait on me first. She proceeded to fix his plate. At that point I was pissed. She was very unprofessional and disrespectful. I just walked out. I refuse to patronize a business that's disrespectful to me. I will continue to go to MIKKI'S SOUL FOOD in Pearland.
