“I had the cajun fried fish, collard greens, and mac n cheese and everything was excellent! No to go box needed; and I don't say that about everywhere. Not only was the food good but the service was excellent as well. Can't wait to go back!“

“My family and I checked out Granny Dee’s Kitchen, a cool black-owned spot we wanted to support. The elderly man who greeted us was so friendly, and we didn't mind waiting for him to take our orders. We ended up spending over $100 for four of us, which wasn't bad. I liked how they have different stuff on different days, so we went for Friday's menu. The meats were cooked well and tasted great, but the black-eyed peas needed more seasoning and cooking time. I loved the collard greens, but Mom found them too bitter. The mac & cheese was awesome, and the pound cake was moist and yummy, especially when heated up. But the sweet tea wasn't our thing—it tasted kind of fake. Overall, Granny Dee’s Kitchen was a nice spot for lunch. Everyone's got their own taste, so you gotta try it yourself. We'd totally go back to try more stuff.“

“Baby!!! Let me tell you. This place is not messing around. Their food was so delicious and filling and the portions are hearty and more than worth the price . You will not leave this place hungry or disappointed. In fact, you may not be able to leave after you fill up on nothing but soul food goodness and maybe a little something for your sweet tooth.Their peach cobbler is perfect. It has that nice pie crust topping and not the bread topping you find anywhere else. If you can make it here, come try it out. If not, look for their food truck or their Pearland location.YumYumYum“

“This was some of the beat brisket I have ever had. Moist juicy tender and omg the flavor of a good seasoned pit. This man knows how to season and smoke a brisket. And that dirty rice was so good. I’d tell you about them baked beans but my little one got to them before me and I never got to try them so they must be amazing too. Lol. Just great food and even better personality. You can’t beat good people and good food.“
