“Very cute local spot that's worth checking out! We shared a katsu chicken and dumplings, both very good but I would have liked twice as much of the side salad or another veggie option in the entree. The flavor was delicious for everything on our plates. More importantly, we were warmly greeted and graciously thanked for coming by. We're looking forward to coming back for breakfast SOON“

“The bowls are tasty and portioned very well. The combinations you can do will please everybody. We've gone to another location in plano and never went back. We decided to try them again since we moved and this location is great. We've eaten in once but lately we've been doing take out. Definitely recommend trying this place.“

“I came with my family for my dad's birthday and the dinner was amazing. We asked our server Esther for recommendations and she recommended the boiled pork belly, seafood pancake, pork backbone hot pot, and mungbean with brisket. Everything tasted so good! We loved the food and the service. Definitely chose a great spot especially for a birthday dinner.“

“Fantastic Korean food, very fun bar-restaurant atmosphere. Loved the aesthetic, the decorated walls that customers have written on, and the constant K-pop playing both over the speakers and on the TV's. Staff was extremely nice, attentive, and quick.“

“You will know what the true taste of gomtang is. However, it is unfortunate that there are still many people who do not know the difference between seolleongtang and gomtang. There are too many people in Dallas who can't tell the difference between gomtang and seolleongtang, but can't tell the difference between jjajangmyeon and jjamppong. And the foods I personally recommend are shrimp paste and broiler soybean paste soup. Broiler chicken is a true work of art.“

“Summary: You want bento, you want Wave Bowl. I’m glad I found Wave Bowl…for bento box deliciousness, try them first and often.I got this for takeout and, was happily surprised at how smart they packed the food…no spillage at all! The food was prepared efficiently so no time was wasted from ordering, (thx Megan for the help with special substitutions), prep and pack, and making it home to enjoy. Next time we’ll order in, the spot looks nice inside. As a pescatarian with some other dietary restrictions(plant-based), Wave Bowl had many options and my Green curry Tofu + Teriyaki Salmon was very flavorful! As a fan of spice the kicks up the flavor, my tongue has been dancing after tasting the kimchi and turnip cakes…very VERY GOOD! Oh the Udon Suki (with tofu) was savory and felt so so cozy delicious. Now for dessert, I had to try the Mango Mango delight, ?!I’ll be back with the whole family and friends because I’m hooked after one visit. There is so much more of the menu to explore. Come for the bento box, stay for so much more!“

“I've been a regular at JC since grand opening and I consistently order the Galbi to go. Abundant meat for the price, the quality also shows in the taste. The right amount of char, flavor, and fat, it is some of the best galbi you can get in the area. Sode dishes are nothing crazy- a small portion of rice topped with fried egg and two gyozas. (Would prefer to have kimchi or other pickled vegetables to cut through richness of protein as opposed to more fat). Service is both kind and incredibly quick- never exceeds 10 minutes to prepare.“

“UPDATE: I returned to the Yorienn Korean Fried Chicken and was pleasantly surprised to find out that they have a CHEF on staff who cooks up many other delicious entrees besides Korean fried chicken. Our waitresses, Jiwon and Jiyoung, were fantastic and patiently answered all our questions. The food was mouth-watering and delicious.Did I mention it was also snowing? We tried the Snow Cloud Dr Pepper and the RootBeer, which were good. They offer Snow Cloud with beer or any soft drink of your choice. It's a must-try drink. Please have a look at the pictures and menus below. It's an excellent spot for a date night...or ANY night!NO APRIL FOOLING HERE...JUST SCRUMPTIOUS WINGS!To clarify, I paid my bill at the restaurant at 10:08 PM on March 31st, 2024, and I plan to dine there again tomorrow evening, 4/1/2024, because the food is just DELICIOUS.Specifically, I ordered the Fried Chicken Wings with a thin batter and sauce on the side, choosing the Sweet Korean Soy Garlic flavor, along with French Fries. The wings were hot, crispy on the outside perfectly cooked, juicy, and tasteful on the inside. The fries were the best seasoned and battered fries I have ever tasted.I will return on Monday and try the Sweet Korean, Soy Garlic, Honey Garlic, and Sweet and Spicy sauces on my wings. My server, Myeongseong O, was excellent. He knew the menu, answered all my questions, and checked on me throughout dinner.Kid-friendliness: Families“

“My first visit! I called in to order, and was told it would be ready in 25 minutes. I went in 25 minutes later and everything was fresh and hot! This was the best Korean BBQ fried chicken I have ever had in my lifetime! The french fries were perfect! Crispy and hot with a wonderful coating and honey butter flavor! This will be my go to place for chicken now! You can see that the staff prepare everything by hand, and the service is exceptional, love all the sauces too! Go ahead and try for yourself you will love it!“

“A last minute, impulse date night! We came super last minute so it was kinda dead? But still good lol.Lots of positive! The menu was very simple with stellar favs and classics. I got the cold spicy noodles with beef. My fiancé got katsu. The portions were 10/10, a bit on the pricey end, but for the quality of food it was worth it.The lady at checkout was very nice and explained some of the dishes to us! She was super helpful and gave us her recommendations for first timers.“

“It was a cold evening and I wanted something warm. Because I had never been here before, I asked for recommendations, and they recommended either seafood, chicken, or beef soup. I ordered seafood soup and it was amazing. It was the best seafood tofu soup that I have ever eaten. I will recommend this place to anyone.“

“Our first dinner in Dallas! Cho Dang is known for their soft tofu soup and they certainly did not disappoint! My vegetarian daughter ordered the veggie version, my husband ordered the seafood, and I ordered the doenjang version (spicy level 4 out of 5). Both my husband and I love SPICY food so next time will likely order a level 5/5. Reserved a private dining room to accommodate a party of 10 and it was easy. We called ahead (around 1030am) for a 545pm reservation. Being Korean American, I've grown up eating delicious Korean food and this place hits the spot. Highly recommend!“

“Glad I tried this place out. Tried their Yangnyeom chicken and Soy garlic spicy boneless chicken. Absolutely loved the first one, but the Soy Garlic had no flavor. You can only taste the initial kick of the spice but that’s it. Also tried the Kimchi fries. The texture of the fries were great but the sauce mixed in wasn’t exactly my favorite even though my friends liked it. Would come back again to try other flavors. They also ask about peanut allergies if you have them, so it safe to eat.“

“I’m a super fan of kimbap! Anyone who makes homemade kimbap knows it’s tedious so this semi fast food place comes in clutch. Not to mention that everything I’ve tried there is excellent and very fresh! They need to franchise this place or open up locations all around town!! Love this establishment.“

“I ordered the beef noodles. SOO good, I ordered it to go and it came piping hot with a side of kimchi. The noodles are creamy and silky texture! Love that! The broth is good quality but those noodles steal the show. Their kimchi is also really good. One of the best restaurant kimchi’s.“

“I love japanese sandos, Okatsu Katsu is located in the H-mart food court and has a great selection of them. They also have a different variety of menu items, so if you aren't feeling a sando they also have regular katsu, curry, and etc. Each sando comes with a part of a fruit sando so thats definitely a plus! We usually just order the sandos, but the day we went it was cold outside so we opted in for the curry side sauce and it definitely hit the spot. Will definitely be back!“

“I love this place, the porridge is so good. It's also not a crowded place. I don't live in Dallas, but every time I come visit Dallas, I always make sure to come here during my visit. The porridge is different here than all the porridge I've ever eaten. It always comes out hot and fresh, although the wait is kind of long, it's worth it once your bowl comes out. No complaints, it's a small building only run by a few staff so be patient with them. I recommend coming here during cold season, always hits the spot.“

“The side dishes are so delicious that I go here every time I go to Dallas. I really like the combination of pig’s feet and makkimchi. It’s better than the jokbal restaurant. We live in the countryside, so we buy a lot at once, and they always provide great service and are very kind. The seasoned crab sauce is delicious, so I buy it often.“

The assorted boiled pork, seolleongtang, and seasoned crab were crazy!!It doesn't smell at all, it's delicious, and I'll be visiting often!!All kimchi is delicious, but green onion kimchi is especially delicious? The marinated crab is tastier than the one you buy at a side dish restaurant, and there is a lot more of it!!“

“Fast casual place.Good: Atmosphere is cool. Has the car/garage theme. Restroom clean! Food was tasty. Shrimp was delicious with the sauce but can add up as it’s $2 each. Tofu hibachi grill was good and came with two different sauces to try out. Wow bowl chicken was cooked perfectly. All of the dishes tasted good and safe bets but also nothing that would necessarily be a craving or bring me back. Quick service. For improvement: Galbi bowl was tough to eat with the plastic fork. The plastic fork was not strong enough to poke through the meat, not that the meat was tough. Need metal forks to eat the Galbi with. Menus set up high and spread across the full length of the bar so you can’t see the items on the left menu panel or even middle panel when you make it to the register— why do restaurants do this? Have a repeat of the menus— do one set at the front so people waiting in line can start thinking about what they want, then a same set of menus behind the register so we can remember. Tables were sticky- when we arrived and during the middle of our meal, we were the only ones in.Bad: nothing was bad though they need some fine tuningVegetarian options: Tofu“

“We ate here on a Saturday around noon after flying in to DFW. It is located in a sprawling area of strip malls off an expressway. They have shared parking out front, but connect to multiple other lots, so parking should not be a problem. When you arrive, you queue up at the counter to order from the large wall-mounted menu board. They had a decent variety of burgers and salads. They had other sandwiches as well. I got the 'west coast' burger, which I enjoyed. Their fries were good too. My wife enjoyed her salad. This seemed to be a popular place as there was a steady stream of customers while we were eating. If you want a burger a notch or two above fast food, this is a good choice.“

“This is the best korean BBQ I've ever had in Dallas! They're a bit more pricey and it's not all you can eat buffet. But believe me when I say, you get what you pay for!!! All of the meats were premium cuts and the service was delightful. They cook your food for you. We were celebrating a birthday and the staff even brought out plates and spoons for the cake we brought and sang happy birthday to my family member. We'll definitely be returning“

“We had 3 different ramen bowls and K-style fries. The fries were definitely the star of the meal! We added pork to the fries which added $4 but it was worth it because there were many good sized delicious chunks! You order everything on your phone and pay before and tip before so hopefully you get good service, which we did. The one lady that was there kept checking on us even when it got busy.“

“FOOD handmade Noodles Soup with Kimchi - I came here post sickness so was craving some soup. The kimchi stew isn't super spicy which was good. The noodles were very soft and chewy which made it taste super good. I will say that they do give pretty large portion sizes so it would be good to split with someone if you do not eat that much. Overall the flavor was pretty alright. I will say I got flavor fatigued over time and it started to taste bland but that's just because I was probably eating a lot of it (lol!). They also give kimchi and pickled radish on the side. The kimchi was really good. It wasn't super fermented or sour which is how I like it and there were lots of leaf from the vegetable (which is my favorite part). The pickled radish was also pretty yummy as well. VIBES I came with my friend during the weekday at around noon for lunch. There were lots of people coming in from working places nearby. There is wooden tables with metal chairs and the place does hold quite a few people. It gives very traditional home vibes in that the atmosphere is very cozy and everything is simplistic. Great for a casual lunch or family dinner! SERVICE Service was pretty average. Food came out quickly and not too much interaction with staff other than ordering food. Food comes in sizable portions for a good price! Everyone was nice though!“

“FOOD Tteokbokki - the texture of the rice cake was good. It was chewy and not too stiff. The fish cake was good. Spicy but not too spicy. Pretty ok overall. Sundae - Doesn't taste smelly which is good. The sausage has good texture with chewiness from the glass noodles and blood. Served with other meats as well. Stir fried squid with rice - They gave pretty decent sized portions of squid. There was not much grill flavor as other places around the area but the seasoning and the texture is really good. It came with rolled egg, kimchi, and rice. The rice is some type of bean rice that tastes good. The rolled egg was kind of mid and the kimchi was really good! The portions are decent sized for their price and would definitely recommend as comfort food. Food quality is pretty yummy! VIBES This place gives very home and comfort vibes. The walls have calligraphy ink style wallpaper. You order food then go sit anywhere. There soft benches as well as chairs that are divided by short wall dividers. SERVICE Most of the people serving or taking order are Korean aunties with limited English. I definitely recommend telling them the number to order if you don't speak Korean.“

“I recently visited Gopchang Story in Carrollton and I have to say, it was an amazing experience. I'm a huge fan of Korean BBQ and I tend to choose a restaurant based on the quality of meat, service, and ambiance. Before visiting this location, I've dined in their LA, NYC, Seoul, and Daegu branches. Our server, Hailey, was super friendly and welcoming. She gave us great recommendations and made us feel right at home. We tried the Prime Seasoned Short Rib, Duroc Marinated Pork Rib, and Duroc Pork Belly and it was all so delicious! Now, let's talk about the large intestine, or dehchang, which I'm not usually a fan of. But, this restaurant does it right! It was cooked perfectly and had a soft grill with some veggies on the side. Hailey even soaked up the fat using bread, which I thought was a brilliant idea.Lastly, we had the Chef's special dessert, which was a refreshing fruit dish with microgreens on top. It was so pretty and tasted amazing. Honestly, I would come back to this restaurant just for Hailey's amazing service. If you're a fan of Korean BBQ, you've got to check out Gopchang Story!“
