“This place is awesome. It started with the guy at the counter who was very friendly and provided recommendations. We had the pad Thai burrito with curried tofu which was incredible. The tofu in particular is some of the best I’ve had and the dipping sauce is possibly even better, somehow.We also ordered the khao soi with beef shank which was super flavorful and the birria tacos which were solid.This is going a new staple for us, definitely try it if you like creative Asian food.Vegetarian options: The curried tofu in any dish is amazing.“

“I love Banana Leaf! I have been using them for catering since 2008 and have never had a bad meal or experience - they cater to any size group anywhere in the metroplex! Steve and Kameron are so easy to work with, all I have to do is let them know where, when, how many, what time, and they’ll be there with the most delicious Thai food. “I had basil fried rice and a cup of Tom kha soup. The rice was hot and fresh and tasted delicious! The soup was creamy and had a lot coconut flavor and I really enjoyed it. We showed up close to the closing time and we asked if it was still okay for us to eat there, and they welcomed us in and were happy to serve us. I will definitely be back, it was an excellent experience!“

“I ordered the Pad Woon Sen with Tofu and Iced Melon Green Tea. The food and drink were perfection! The servers were gracious and checked in with me several times. I was able to take leftovers home, including my drink. Awesome setting and great music playing in the background. I will definitely be eating here again to try more things on the menu. “We happened upon the BEST Thai restaurant, Thai Soon, in Richardson! Portion size was great, a tiny but quaint place facing Coit Rd, just south of Beltline. Actual address is 101 S. Coit Rd, Suite 401. We always start off with spring rolls. If you want oil free you need to specify steamed tofu, not fried. I had the Cashew Nut Entree with Brown rice that was heaping with fresh veggies ! I had a spice level of 3 and it was perfect for my spicy palate. Pat chose a Pad Thai with Veggies as well. Both of us agreed that it was the best Thai food we have ever had in Dallas (and we have frequented many)! We followed up with Purple Sticky Rice for dessert, and it was a 10/10! Not the right season for Mango Sticky Rice, so we tried something new, and cannot wait to return! Prices very reasonable as well! You won’t regret a visit to Thai Soon In Richardson.Vegetarian options: You can substitute tofu in most all dishes. Just be sure to tell them that you are Vegan and cannot eat any animal products.“

“This is a gem of a place. There isn’t enough nice things I can say about it. It’s a hole in the wall type of place - not much seating available. The food makes up for it. So even if you can’t have a nice sit down meal when it’s busy, order carry out. You will not be disappointed. I have tried a number of the things on the menu and I am a happy camper. I can’t say there’s anything I don’t like. It’s the first Thai place I found when I moved here from NY. And it remains one of my favorite places. They have quick service now - during COVID, it was rough. I don’t want to say too many nice things because I want to be able to have my mother - son sit down dinner every month just like when I was pregnant with him!“

The spice level made me cry happy tears. The soup came in a bowl!!! I also ordered sticky rice and meatballs (for my dogs hehehhe). It was made exactly the way I like it! My dogs and I ate it before our walk at the park. I like the service here. The young lady that took my order was very polite and accommodating. “Food was on point Laotian food. Perfect balance of flavor. We had the Lao fried rice, Kapoon, beef jerky, sticky rice and Thai tea. Everything replicate the taste of soul food. Definitely will come back. On sunny days don't sit by the windows it can get hot. Otherwise it was a great experience.“

“This is a small but quant corner, you have a variety of stores Tom Thumb being one of them. Then you have numerous eating places like on the border, some kind of Chinese one on the same square as On The Border and many others. Plus you have Chase Bank. You can get in and out from three different sides, coming off of the Dallas Tollway, Parker road or the first street after the Tollway. Makes it convenient and fast to get in and out of there.“

“Great little spot my friend and I found while in Texas! The appetizers were really great! I had the egg rolls and the fried pot stickers! They made a special soup for me upon request. The vegetables were over cooked into the soup, but it still meant a lot that they made it for me! The atmosphere was awesome and I enjoyed the the guitarist named Guy. “Such a consistent favorite! The General Tso chicken here is some of the best in the city. The sauce is prepared fresh to order and is so good. Not just a sugar bomb, but with actual nuanced flavor. I so wish there were other locations closer to me so I could go more often. I have also tried the Kung Pao chicken and the Beef Skewers and they were also prepared with care and great flavor. If you are at the food hall this should be your first stop!“
