“This was my first visit, a suggestion from my sister. I started with the crab hush puppies (delicious!). As an entree, I chose the creole shrimp fettuccini (very good). My server (Amy-excellent!) was attentive and engaging, which enhanced my overall experience. The whole atmosphere had a vibe that was very inclusive and fun. I will definitely return.“

“Came to Hank's for some seafood and the food did not disappoint! We ordered the calamari and shrimp as an appetizer, it was a bit small for $18, but it tasted fresh. The fish and chips and the lobster roll were both excellent! The fish and chips were hands down the best I have had so far and the lobster roll was full of flavor and the bread was buttery and crispy. I recommend adding old bay seasoning to the fries for extra flavor.“

“Love this place! Dinner is always 10/10 but service, we had Alena or elena and she was just the sweetest young lady and she knows was shes doing, and she was honest too with her recommendations! We always have a tuna and oysters! Then steak this time we shared the cowboy ribeye and added scallops which by the way is not on the menu but elena said they could do it and it was delicious!! 5 star service“

“Went for the first time yesterday. Food was so good! I had the Dominator. The crab cakes was to die for. Customer Service was awesome and the inside was so clean. Only suggestion I make is signage on outside. You are known for your bright yellow sign but that isn’t what’s on your building. So it was alittle hard to find. I knew you was open from following you on social media and I knew the area because I use to live there but my parents who live walking distance and others wasn’t aware of you. I think having more signage and your bright yellow signs so people traveling on Richmond highways know you there will give you the business you deserve.“

“This was the NOLA breakfast and it was fabulous. The bacon was crispy, the beignets were fluffy, the syrup was warm. I ate half a loaf of bread and a cup of fresh strawberries and cream before the meal came because it was delicious and I couldn't stop. Roll me out in a wheelbarrow.Also they open for brunch earlier than anyone else nearby, so it's great if you're out and about early.“

“I really like coming here. (Been about 3x now) Being land meat and dairy-free, the options do become limited, but the options are good to me. Also I have never been disappointed by their drinks. The bar was a smidget slow when we first sat down (during Happy Hour) on a Monday but the service picked up. I liked having happy hour drinks while waiting for our table by the water. Everyone in the restaurant was very welcoming and nice. I felt I was back home. I don’t know if it was the owner but he was so nice and offered me to help me carry my order to my car. They have a life time customer. First impression matters and I was not disappointed from the food to the customer service. Thank you!!“

“Our server Jayla was awesome! She was very friendly. We went on a Saturday afternoon around 2 p.m. weather was gorgeous outside and the outdoor patio was well covered, but we decided to sit inside. The restaurant wasn't too crowded. Jayla asked if it was our first time at Blackwall Hitch, which it was, so she went over the local favorites. She recommended the flaming crab dip and it was delicious!!! Jayla offered us extra Naan chips which I thought was generous for an upscale restaurant. I asked if she could bring us extra with a to-go box to take the rest of the dip. We also had the mahi mahi tacos and chicken-pancetta flatbread - both were great. Jayla often checked on us. We had a lovely time and the service was great! Thank you!“

“LOVE this restaurant! Stopped in last evening for dinner and enjoyed the Oysters,Oysters,Oysters off the restaurant week menu! The fried and grilled oysters were perfection and the raw oysters were fresh and DELISH! We stick to appetizers on this visit, after the oyster feast we moved on to the peel and eat shrimp, perfectly cooked and seasoned with Old Bay and the Mussels in the spicy broth! Do yourself a favor and get extra bread to dip in the broth, you won’t be sorry! We didn’t have them on this visit, but one of the must try’s in my opinion is the Lobster Poutine! AMAZING! The amount of lobster in this dish at the price point of under $20 is OUTRAGEOUS in the very best sense of the word! The whiskey offerings at this establishment are some of the best that I have seen. I literally discovered one of very favorite bourbons here, Jefferson’s Ocean! The selections range from your basic line up, interesting new finds and hard to get must try’s. The man behind this whiskey magic is Edward, the bartender/manager. Edward is knowledgeable and loves to talk about his offerings, so don’t be shy, ask questions and be prepared to learn a little something! We have enjoyed everything from their brunch offerings, seafood and burgers! Wine to whiskey and everything in between and have never been disappointed! We recently moved, and now have to brave 45 minutes of Beltway traffic (and that’s on a good day as we all know..lol) to get to this spot. So if you good food, attentive service and an amazing selection of whiskey are your thing, trust me when I tell you this is the place for you!“

I recommend it for the neighborhood we lived in, which is the Lincolnia part of Alexandria Their egg drop soup is the best I've ever tasted having visited most of not all Chinese restaurants in Alexandria. “Omg this was my first time trying out Ethiopian food. And I’m in love. I love the spiciness. First time I got here I wasn’t too hungry so I ordered tuna salad! It was so spicy and good which I love ! And we also order chicken,beef lamb awaza dibs dish they all so good. One thing is they don’t offer free tap water here. ( I don’t like that )“

“This place is medium sized, about 12 to 15 tables, which I really like. I don’t like big places because the service is not good, servers are so busy running around.We usually order take out, at least once a week, because this place is always very, very busy. Whenever I show up there, there are always a lot of Asian people. You know it’s good and inexpensive ‘cause only Asians eat there.It has a big parking lot in front of the restaurant. The challenge is finding a spot close to the place.“

“This is a hidden gem and has the best fare! I was not expecting to find such an elegant restaurant in a strip mall and certainly had no idea how good the food would be. I had the miso ramen and shrimp tempura, which was plated beautifully and the taste was perfection. I will drive out of my way to dine there again! The hot sake is supreme, very smooth and $9.50 for a large.“

“Last Sunday, Rolando and Rosario our dear friends introduced us to this charming restaurant for dining and entertainment. The 6 men band were playing in the party room the most fantastic Latinos and other music on stage, it was a full concert. The owner was very sweet to greet us and the waitress were so attentive, our food were so tasty. This made our Sunday special, we were so delighted that we found this secret oasis so close to our home. We are looking forward to go back every Sunday bringing more friends with us.“
