“We have eaten here quite a bit in the last year or so and it NEVER disappoints. Even my super picky kids love the food. Fan favs are “hanks favorite” the kids fried rice, any rice or noodle dish and the chicken meatball appetizer. The service is ridiculously fast and accommodating. We love eating here and it is a hidden gem and family favorite. Also, I would say kid friendly. I have noticed that no matter how many kids are in the restaurant they are always behaving come to think of it. Food is just that good I guess. Lol.“

I didn’t try the crab Rangoons or dumplings since it had shrimp & crab in it. I wanted all chicken. Such a cute experience I will come back. The food was busin busin.“

“I have dropped in a few times now. The soups have been fantastic. Tom Yum lives up to being a classic. I also loved the main entrees Pad Thai and Drunken Noodle. The environment is very friendly, clean, and relaxing. The owner, and staff, greet customers with friendly smiles. I can let go of stress with each visit. I am planning more trips to eat my way through the extensive menu and enjoy some great smiles. Great selections available to share dishes.“

“Just had an unforgettable dining experience at Padaek in Arlington Ridge, VA, and I couldn't wait to share! From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with warmth and hospitality. The ambiance is cozy and inviting, setting the perfect stage for what was to come. Now, let's talk about the food. Each dish was a culinary masterpiece, showcasing the rich flavors of Lao and Regional Thai cuisine. The Siin Savanh, Gaeng Hang Lay, and Mieng were absolute standouts, bursting with authenticity and boldness. And dessert? Oh, don't even get me started! The Mango Sticky Rice and Khao Niew Met Nga were the perfect sweet endings to an incredible meal. But what truly sets Padaek apart is the attention to detail and the stories behind the food. Chef Seng's dedication to preserving tradition and sharing her family's recipes shines through in every bite.Overall, Padaek exceeded all expectations. If you're in Arlington Ridge and craving an unforgettable dining experience, look no further. This place is a gem!“

“I live in NY and have a lot of quality thai places nearby (as well as having visited Thailand before) - this place was incredible. The pad woon sen was the most flavorful dish, and the crab fried rice was perfectly seasoned. So friendly and such great service, will be coming back the next time we pass through Fairfax!“

“Court side Thai is a great cozy place in downtown Fairfax. Very cute entrance. The Thai food was fantastic, I got typical pad Thai, but with scallops which were amazing. My wife got the pineapple fried rice which she also enjoyed. The court side Thai dumplings for an appetizer were perfect.“

“Came here Sunday for a late lunch—we didn’t have reservations but luckily they had a table available for 3 ppl, and even space at the bar. The restaurant decor is so cute inside!Food was delicious! Recommend the Roti Canai, Papaya Salad and Tom Yum Soup for starters, and for entrees, the Pad See Eiw with Beef, Hainanese Chicken and Massaman Curry. The Singapore Chili Crab ($85 for Whole Dungeness Crab) was good—huge portion with lots of meat, but I felt the sauce was a bit overloaded with too much tomato, like ketchup flavor. For dessert, our server brought out a slice of the Pandan Castella Cake with a candle since we were celebrating a birthday! Cocktails were great, we got two rounds each—loved my Lychee Martini and the others enjoyed their Papaya Mule and Chrysanthemum Highball.Service was great here—food came out fairly quick and our server Madi was super cool and very attentive. Will definitely come back to try more of their dishes!“

“This restaurant is the BEST Thai restaurant in all of Fairfax. And I have had tried almost every Thai restaurant in the area. Their pad Thai is perfection, and their sushi is so beautiful it almost pains me to eat it because it's so beautiful but it's DELICIOUS. They also have great customer service and had our order ready quick and efficiently.“

“After hearing great reviews, we were eager to try out this restaurant and were pleasantly surprised by the beautiful ambiance. The Thai design elements, including large fixtures on the ceiling, added a unique touch to the décor. While the food looked and tasted good overall, it was a bit too sweet for our personal preference. Nevertheless, the service was fantastic and contributed to a great overall experience.“

“Hands down the best Thai food in the area especially for pan fried noodle dishes like Drunken Noodle and Pad See Ew! You get that nice wok fry flavor and char on the noodles that gives the dish the unique Thai street food taste. The chicken empanadas are a great appetizer! If you are a fan of pork belly, I’d totally recommend getting the pork belly w/ Chinese broccoli over rice dish and order a side of curry sauce to pour over the rice! I also highly recommend the Panang curry. The restaurant is very small and super casual but id def recommend every time!“

“Second time here with my husband and I absolutely love this place. Their food is amazing. Love their asian rolls and curry Puff appetizers. Definitely recommend. Love the spiciness of their dishes and the levels of spiciness they offer. Their Thai tea is so full of flavor and so delicious. If you have not visited this place, you should. It won't disappoint. Great service. Friendly staff. The mango sticky rice dessert is out of this world. So delicious!!!“

“Got it to go for family, still very yummy, very satisfying. We always have allergy changes to make, and they didn't get anything wrong, which is always nice. The drunken noodles are VERY spicy. Even the guy used to spice was struggling through them (still happy with the order, but heads up for people on the fence about spice)Dietary restrictions: I can't do onions or anything in the onion family. Sometimes, I have trouble getting them removed at other places, but not here :)“

“We were here very recently and enjoyed every aspect of our meal. Very homely, fresh vibes with clean tables and decorative plants spread throughout. Waitress was extremely friendly and attentive. Food came out fast (appetizer first), then meals. Not a ton of rice, but meal portions were large! We had the crispy green beans, chicken green curry, and fried pork. Everything was delicious, vegetables tasted so fresh and each dish, so flavorful. Curry was incredible, but will likely order spice level 2 next time as 3 was just slightly too hot (but not unbearable).Thai iced tea offered a sweet balance to the savory and spicy flavor from the food.Looking forward to coming back and trying some more of the authentic thai dishes!“

“Holy cow, the food here is amazing and exceeded my expectations!:1. Shoshito pepper appetizer: Really tasty, slightly spicy depending on the pepper, delicious marinade, and fun to eat! I like that this came with an extra bowl to dispose of the pepper stems2. Shredded crispy beef: Phenomenal from the first bite! There is something different/unique about the batter they use and it’s surprisingly light. So much more elevated than the usual Chinese take-out versions of this dish3. Panang curry: I got this with fried tofu and it was amaaaazing and everything I’d hoped for4. Thai iced tea: Defibitely served on the sweeter, more sugary side!I can’t wait to try more dishes from this place! The space itself is super cool: the front windows fold up, giving the entire restaurant an outdoor feel, there is a huge, modern-looking bar, and outdoor seating if you’d like.“

“I'm so emotional rn. I visited this location for the second time. My knees have been extremely painful lately and I'm having to be assisted with a cane and as I approached the door of the restaurant, one of the employees who was doing paperwork at a table, stopped her work to come open the door for me and the same for when i left. I appreciate that tiny act of kindness so very much as you simply don't see it much anymore. Thanks Rice & Spice!!!!“

“Been trying out all the Thai restaurants and dmv and this one certainly had one of the best drunken noodles. Mango sticky rice was solid too. Other two dishes were average, but overall 8.5/10 for food. Atmosphere was nice and decor was gorgeous. Service was excellent 10/10. Would go back.“

“Outstanding Thai, especially if you need spicy. We were celebrating multiple life events. The staff was welcoming and anticipated our needs. My only concern was the condition of the restaurant, the ceiling tiles were stained and sagging. Mom reported a sanitary & spotless ladies room.We ordered appetizers. The curry chicken appetizers were wrapped in a delightful flaky crust that melts in your mouth. My son ordered medium heat drunken noodles. The dish was hot, even for chili-phile and spice-iphile in our party! The seafood dish -found on the Pad Thai page -was loaded with shrimp, mussels, squid and scallops for $20! The courses arrived hot, together and quickly. The coconut chocolate chip ice cream was divine. Topped off the meal with Thai coffee and tea. All of this fairly price. All four of took home a doggie bag for a second meal.Parking: Free parking lot in the back of the building periodKid-friendliness: Family friendly.Wheelchair accessibility: the back of the building is not wheelchair accessible. The front is accessible.“

“Hidden gem! My son and I strolled upon this location and it was his first time having Thai. The vibes and energy inside to the freshly made to order food ? the staff is so friendly and courteous. We started with chicken Satay it was coconut grilled chicken with peanut sauce. Then the red curry chicken and pad Thai. To finish we had the mango sticky rice and it was so delicious! The portions were perfect. You can tell the food was made with love and passion. This is now on rotation for my son and I.“

“This is the best Thai restaurant in the United States. I haven't found anything on the menu I don't like. My favorites are the pad kra pow with beef, Tom yum with soft tofu, shrimp cakes, and any of the curries. But nothing compares to the corn cakes. The staff is very friendly and the service is fast. They also are great for carry out.“

“My whole family wanted sushi, so we ended up here. We were seated immediately. Service was prompt with placing our orders but we had to wait a long time for our dinners. Fortunately our appetizers came fast: calamari and gyoza were delicious! Miso soups were eaten fast. We ordered 3 rolls: kamikaze, snow man and summer dragon. Both kamikaze and summer dragon were delicious. Sashimi orders: salmon, yellow tail, tobiko, tuna and mackerel. The sashimi piece were huge! Fish quality was good. They were so good our kids got more salmon sashimi and yellow tails. Our daughter does not recommend the mackerel sashimi. My hubby also ordered their eggplant with pork (Thai). It was served with a side of rice and it was very filling.“

“Very small (only about 8 tables indoor to fit 20 persons) Thai restaurant tucked inside a cute little street. We stopped by on our way to Richmond VA. We both ordered the lunch special curries, red curry and green curry. They were both good, but nothing out of what I was expecting. There was only 1 guy serving, taking orders and cleaning up. He was definitely busy running around during this lunch hour. Overall, good spot to stop along the way inside a cute street.“

“Delicious! Visited with friends for dinner and had such a delicious time! Loved the cozy atmosphere and the delicious food! Was fortunate enough to try the crispy duck and the crispy pork belly, and will definitely be back to try the recommended pineapple fried rice, which looked amazing. We ordered the homemade coconut ice cream at the end of our meal and were blown away by how fresh and delicious it was. I texted a friend to recommend this spot before we even left.“

“Fantastic hole in the wall right in our back yard. Stumbled on this place last week and then went back 3 days later. The food is incredible, portions generous, prices reasonable and staff is kind. Other places, the Pad Thai is dry but Thai Thai uses a lot of very flavorful sauce on theirs! Clearly run by a family with their own recipes.“
“This is one of my go to places for pad thai. I forgot to take a picture because my boyfriend and I ate it so fast! The sushi is okay, more like a 3.5/5 but I do enjoy the sashimi and the rolls that they give. They recently painted the inside again to be a bright yellow ceiling with pictures along the wall which is really nice to look at while eating. The service is always so good and it's a small business that I love supporting!“

“Our favorite Thai restaurant for dine-in and takeout for almost a decade now. Best pad thai and duck curry in Northern Virginia. Also like the papaya salad, drunken noodles, pineapple fried rice, and fried eggplant. Family-friendly place in the neighborhood without the hipness of a D.C. restaurant. Tables and booths under birdcage-looking light fixtures. Good prices and friendly service. Across the street from Giant. Easy parking spaces in front and on the side.Vegetarian options: Almost every dish can be made without meat.Parking: There are always parking spaces in front of along the side.“

“We've found our new favorite Thai restaurant! We tried the chicken pad Thai, massaman curry, panang curry, rama noodles and mango sticky rice. Everything was a 10/10. I'm suggest ordering it early especially on the weekends because they tend to be backed up and you could be waiting up to an hour for pick up. I promise it is worth the wait.“

“I was choosing between a few thai options in the area and I am glad I decided this one! I really enjoyed my pad thai and thai ice tea. I ordered online and the process was a breeze. Thai tea was made when I arrived so it didn't get watery. Pad thai had great flavor, good spice and big chicken pieces. The inside of the restaurant is very small, just a warning for bigger groups. For a tuesday night, it was pretty busy inside. I would definitely go back!“

“Wow! I was impressed with this Chinese food establishment in McLean. Looking for Chinese style food Yelp again proved its value and the great ratings are well warranted though a bit dated. I generally find Chinese food to be a "craving" rather than a well planned meal but this food was so surprisingly good! Not too much sauce, great looking though sparse fresh vegetables , and noodles not soggy with oil, chicken thst was cooked to perfection. I was really really surprised and pleased. Oh, prices were incredibly reasonable. It's a tiny place with maybe 2 tables so definitely a take out place. Lack of vegetables and small dining area was the minus one star but for Chinese places this is a definite go-to! I'll be back!!“

“I’ve been coming here consistently for the past couple of months. Their menu has a great selection of standard Thai dishes and other dishes that you won’t be able to find anywhere else in NOVA. I’ve tried their curries and noodles and they were great but I love picking from their Street Food Menu. Every time I come here, I try one “normal dish” and two “new” dishes. All of them have been good and very authentic (at least to what I remember from my travels to Thailand).Their seafood is always perfectly cooked. I recommend their calamari appetizer and Hoi Tod (Mussel Pancake). Both are crispy without the seafood being overcooked. The food also comes out quickly and tastes freshly cooked.I don’t know why this place doesn’t have more reviews!! I would recommend Thai Mom for anyone who loves Thai food or is an adventurous eater :)“

“I found Yindee Thai on a rainy weekend. When I came in I was greeted and seated. The dining room is very nice and just enough. Not to big not to small. Ther is a nicely appointed bar area with plenty of seating. Very nice ambiance. I usually order dumplings and shrimp pad thai. I decided to try something different. I had the tom yum soup with chicken and dumplings. The soup is a huge serving. It stayed hot and was very flavorful. Same with the dumplings. Service was attentive without hovering too much. I will definitely come back to try other dishes. This is a hidden gem.“

“Wonderful little place. The decor is cheerful and attractive, the staff is friendly and attentive, and the food is excellent.I asked for them to remake an order because I ordered while they were closed and but they made it anyway and we're waiting for me and I just didn't pick it up when I saw the closed sign. It was completely my mistake, not theirs. Not only did they offer to make it right multiple times, even though there was nothing to make right since it was my fault, but they insisted on giving me a free Thai tea anyway. They recognize me every time I come in. I always feel so welcome here. My coworker and I frequently get lunch here. Tofu is prepared really well and they actually have some of the only Thai tea in the area that has the right balance of milkiness.“
