“What an incredible little restaurant. I still can’t believe we happened across it! My boyfriend and I live in DC and eat out quite frequently, and Tavola topped some Michelin star restaurants we’ve tried. We were blown away by the kindness and knowledge of the sommelier and staff, the generosity and talent of the kitchen, and the overall atmosphere and ambiance. Every dish was on point, every service mark was hit, and I could write paragraphs about the wine recommendations. I would rate it more than five stars if I could. Huge thank you to Clay, Caleb, Kendall and everyone else we met for making our night so memorable. If you’re thinking about opening another location I vote DC!“

“A go-to recommendation for larger parties (6-8), vegetarians, or parties with a variety of tastes and preferences. You'll get high-minded flavors in a relatively casual setting with excellent service. Oakhart has some of the best vegetable dishes in the city (beets or charred carrots), while also offering excellent pizzas. The cocktails are creative and affordable ($13). Consistently a five star experience.“

“I have to shout out our server today, Eric, for his friendliness and patience. This was a four hour working lunch! Eric was on point with asking the kitchen about my allergies and double-checking the one dish I forgot to ask about before taking a bite (oops, my bad.) He never made us feel rushed, he sang the "Happy" song along with me, and was just a pleasure to interact with. Oh, and the food was really good, too. Lol“

“The food is amazing, the brunch is phenomenal! Cocktails are great and staff is super knowledgeable. They have weekly specials (burger Mondays, date night Tuesday’s, half off wine bottle Wednesdays, bachata night Thursdays) and live music! 10/10 would definitely recommend.“

“We went for lunch today for the first time since Covid. Place wasn’t very busy for lunch. Lunch was served quickly and fresh. Bonus points for now offering a vegan cheese option and our server even knew to ask about the butter and Parmesan on my pizza. They don’t validate parking at the garage just behind the restaurant which charges $3 per hour.Vegetarian options: Lots of vegetarian options and knowledgeable servers. They now offer a vegan cheese option.“

“Just went and saw a movie with my kids, ordered a margarita and it was not to my taste, not saying it was bad, but I didn’t like it and just ordered another drink and told them to take it back, my waitress was so awesome and took it off my tab, I was willing to pay for it, but such great service!!!!“

“We walked up and down the nice downtown mall area and decided this was our first choice for lunch. Overall, it was very good. The burgers were tasty, but actually a little too big and physically difficult to eat. Also, the fries were a dark brown and almost seemed burnt to me. I realize some people like this style, but it was not for me. Service was outstanding. It has a bit of a cramped feel to the seating, especially in the middle area. I had to wait for a few people to clear before I had room to put on my jacket. Also we felt it was a bit pricey, but I think that is typical of all the places in this neighborhood, so understandable. Overall we were satisfied but will try a different place to mix it up next time.“

“Beautiful hotel, home to The Good Sport. Very lively crowd, energized by a U of Virginia televised basketball game and Super Bowl Weekend. From the valet parking staff to the host to the waitress, the staff was friendly, welcoming, and efficient. The cobb salad was beautifully presented; the smash burger, served with tasty waffle fries, was great. Highly recommended.“

“Went to Glass Half Full with a friend for a quick lunch before shopping. We were seated quickly and waited on by a very friendly server while there. The service was fast, although I was a big fan of the grilled fish tacos I ordered. I think I would have preferred the fried version better. My friend however very much enjoyed her grilled salmon salad. I was also pleased at the attention that the server gave to my friends dairy allergy.“

“I had the steak sandwich. It was good, better than average. My wife had the pulled chicken sandwich that was amazing good! I can confirm as I had a generous bite. I was able to play the Rush pinball machine and play Galaga with my son. I was disappointed by the Chocolate Mousse cake, which has a very weak chocolate flavor and a strong cinnamon flavor. Wouldn’t order again.“

“After a long drive from NJ to VA it was great to have a relaxing dinner. I had the Root Burger; it was delicious. My husband devoured the fish & chips and my daughter was very pleased that grilled cheese was offered on the kids menu. Kudos to our server Wendy M. who was very professional, attentive, and kind.“
