“My first time at Mel's Cafe was amazing. The staff is most friendly and courteous you ever will find in the restaurant business. The food is extremely tasty and delicious. I had 8 piece wing ding with mashed potatoes and gravy and string beans topped off with a slice of lemon meringue pie. The sweet tea was awesome that I could resist a refill of it.“

“Coming from out of town, Virginia Beach, Virginia. A little bit of a wait but totally worth it! Perfect quaint bakery. We totally enjoyed everything. Jorgensen w/poach egg & cortado was definitely perfect and light for a starter before our wine tour. Highly recommended to visit when you’re in C’ville.“

“Every time i go in there, i find something new! I love the flourless chocolate cake, and they make the BEST iced dirty chais! Everyone there is so helpful and upbeat, and the shop itself is cozy, modern & welcoming. Love coming here for a cup of coffee :)“

“SK has a warm ambiance with comfortable seating areas that provides the perfect place for catching up with friends over a cup of coffee or a lazy study date. The baristas are very friendly and love giving recommendations! SK's is an absolute must visit!“

“Can not explain enough how wonderful of a coffee shop this is. The baristas are amazing and oh so sweet, and the coffee is great! As someone that has anxiety and doesnt like to go to new places, im very glad i came in because of all the reasons listed above, 100/10 am definitely coming again.“
