“Had the opportunity to try their seafood platter at Hickory Ridge Farm today. Definitely did not disappoint. Fish was flaky and battered just enough for a crisp bite. A very thick piece at that. Shrimp were lightly battered and crisp. Size was amazing for platter price. 2-3 bite shrimp at least. Hush puppies were off the hook good. However, the crab cake. The crab cake probably one of the best I’ve ever had. The crust on the outside was deceiving. I don’t usually try crab cakes with a crust, but this was AMAZING. The amount of crab in this crab cake was aggressive, and amazingly delicious. 3 kids ate off their kids meal and they didn’t leave hungry. The truffle fries were amazing as well. I will definitely find them again and try more items. Highly recommended.“

“We went to this nifty spot on Nov 22 and boy was it busy. We knew we found a good place when it’s crowded on a Tuesday. We waited for maybe 5 minutes before getting a seat. The service was bad. I mean borderline worst ever. The man Al acted like he didn’t care. He was not pleasant, did not smile once, and his profanity with a table next to us was disappointing. He took our drink order and came back 15 minutes later for our food order. But never got our drinks. Dude forgot our drinks and acted like it wasn’t his fault. He tried to blame the lady with long dark hair but we knew better. Because we saw her behind the bar busting tail. It looked like maybe regulars were there and she was even ignoring them because she was so focused. lol. We eventually got our drinks. The beers were cold. We got wings and crab dip. The food was a little slow but that was fine because it was busy. The food was awesome. But we thought it was weird when some girl brought us oyster Rockefeller we didn’t order. We tried telling her it wasn’t ours but she said just keep it. Thanks Bad Habits! Lol Overall good food and really bad service. It maybe was just Al is really really bad. He should maybe be in the back washing dishes instead. It could be more his pace because he did not seem very competent“

“I was very disappointed!! Steak was full of gristle, and for $40 well not worth it. The small piece I was able to eat was well seasoned and cooked ok, a little underdone for a medium piece of meat. The baked potato was cold and the asparagus soggy and limp! What a meal, the server did offer to cook another steak, but since I was with a large crowd did not want to be eating my meal when everyone was ready to leave, I declined and asked for an adjustment to my check, they gave me a $20 adjustment, wow!! I ordered a cup of she crab soup, which was tasty, $8. And, I had a coke. Ended up spending $50 since gratuity was added. As a way of compensation I was brought a banana pudding that the bananas were rotten in. On the positive side, my service was very attentive and friendly, so I did leave an addition to my already charged for gratuity. The ambiance is very warm and welcoming. On the down side, there is no seating for folks that are waiting to be seated. We were told we could go to our cars and be texted when our table was ready, or wait at the bar which had insufficient seating. Our table had been reserved over a month ago, but still had to wait to be seated since "our" table was currently occupied and they were waiting for them to leave, so 11 of us were all huddled up by the front door, with no seating. Going back to the cars was unacceptable, if you've ever seen that parking lot at dinner time you know why. I was very disappointed that I brought 10 other people and was under compensated. My husband asked when I got home how were things, I just said, never again. Now, in all fairness, this was not my first visit. My other visit was for Sunday brunch, equally unimpressed. Oh, and as an added note, the prices that were reflected on the menu were all ignored and we were charged more, without being told. I'm sorry this review is so unflattering, but I'm compelled to tell the truth especially when fine dining. It's all such a shame. I was embarrassed that I was responsible for bringing a large crowd, since I saw several things left on plates. What a shame. The stars do not reflect my review, site would not allow me to change number of stars, I’d say 2 stars.“

“We get there go inside nobody says anything sit down at a table. Sit there for about 2 minutes some guy walks by and says we close in 20 minutes. For a place that closed in 20 minutes there sure was a lot of people drinking, eating, and hanging out. Never going back.“

Food was served promptly and rather good.Facility was a bit small for this party size, 3 large tables. Bathrooms were not clean and paper towels or hand dryers were lacking.“

“I went here on a day where it wasn't to busy, it was a decent amount of people. My friend and I sat at the bar, we came a little after 10:00 it was a $5 cover charge at the door. I drank henny and Red Bull all night they were $14 a piece. It wasn't to bad! The dj had me singing, dancing and Vibing the whole night! I ordered my husband some stuff Salomon, cabbage and Mac and cheese to go! He ate that shit in 2.5 seconds from what I got a chance to taste it was really good!!! Very flavorful, great portion sizes! I gave 4 stars instead of 5 because I don't understand why have people pay $5 at the door for a bar when you know people are going in the bar to buy food and drinks.“

“After reading some of the reviews posted it seems that people aren't aware that there are 2 old Bay restaurants one of them is close to lowes and the other is close to victory crossing, I read a comment which says that the catfish dinner was not good at all and I know that everyone has an opinion but the old bay close to lowes has catfish that nothing so far can compare too and I've tried to find something better with no luck so far. And the bad service comments really threw me for a curve the women who takes the orders has had the same attitude everytime I go in for the last few years and she knows my order even if I skip a week which happens to be the catfish dinner. So try the one by lowes and if you do indeed have a bad experience just tag me in the review.“

“My wife and I went to the twisted crab for our anniversary. It appears to be a large facility and we were greeted with a smile and seated immediately. We both ordered snow crab dishes. The food came out to us very quickly and was exceptionally hot. Very nice.My beef with the service is that we both ordered crab but were left picking our crab without crab crackers or anything to extract the meat (we were given plastic forks). My wife asked for crackers which were brought to us but why would we need to ask for these. There were other service related items I was less than impressed with.My wife, on the other hand, was over the moon with everything. I asked her how she would rate her experience and she said 10 out of 5. She wants to go back, I'm not sure that I want to.The food was wonderful so I went with my wife's recommendation for this review.“
