“Absolutely phenomenal!! My daughter and I have been twice. Both times we were seated quickly and they sat us right next to kitchen where you can see into the kitchen through clear glass. The restaurant staff all really took to my 7 yr daughter coming by our table to say hi or high giving through the glass. The manager even used dry erase markers on the glass to play tic tac toe. They gave her a chef's hat and a gift card for the restaurant. Beyond that, the food was incredible!! I would 100% recommend for a special occasion”

This is my 5th time eating at Gyu Shige as my last two times were in the Rockville location. It was a busy night but my server was quick and responsive by bringing our requested meat dishes, and explaining their personal favorites for drinks and appetizers. Restaurant setting, in my opinion, has been the same, with conversations left and right --truly withholding the essence of Japanese bbq which is enjoying the fine meats cooked for you but also chatting with friends and family. For anyone who seems to be stuck on the price. You just have to understand that "you get what you pay for" meaning every dime you spend on this meal, the experience and food are definitely worth while. That's all I have to say and I hope other people have the same positive experience I had!”

Recommend the Roti Canai, Papaya Salad and Tom Yum Soup for starters, and for entrees, the Pad See Eiw with Beef, Hainanese Chicken and Massaman Curry. The Singapore Chili Crab ($85 for Whole Dungeness Crab) was good—huge portion with lots of meat, but I felt the sauce was a bit overloaded with too much tomato, like ketchup flavor. For dessert, our server brought out a slice of the Pandan Castella Cake with a candle since we were celebrating a birthday! Cocktails were great, we got two rounds each—loved my Lychee Martini and the others enjoyed their Papaya Mule and Chrysanthemum Highball.Service was great here—food came out fairly quick and our server Madi was super cool and very attentive. They found a table for us within 10 minutes even though they were quite full on the Saturday before Mother's day. The host took our order shortly after and the waiter was very pleasant throughout. The food came out hot and was delicious. We ordered the seafood platters and the seafood was so fresh with a light batter. The calamari appetizer and shared bread pudding dessert were delicious. The popularity of this restaurant has grown a lot since we first discovered it years ago and the quality of the seafood dishes remain excellent.”

“As far as college dining goes, Ike’s is quite good, though to be fair “college dining” is not exactly a high bar. The food is usually quite tasty, and most meals there’s a good selection of options. However, the service is highly variable; I’ve had a decent amount of good experiences but also a handful of bad ones.My biggest complaint is that since you aren’t serving yourself, you have little to no control over the portion sizes the servers give you. I’ve had someone heap my plate until the food was nearly falling off, which is usually way more than I want to eat, but also sometimes have someone give me these tiny, almost “sample size” portions of each item that add up to like half a meal. I’ve found that, while I can usually get more if I ask, trying to say “that’s enough” is surprisingly difficult due to the large amount of background noise; often the server doesn’t hear what I’m saying until they’ve already put the food on my plate.Another thing worth noting is that there is often a lot of background noise, which depending on your preferences can be a benefit or a problem. Personally I find it can be helpful when trying to study, but some people could find it overwhelming.Vegetarian options: Always some vegetarian options, but the amount and quality can vary day to day.”

Service is also slightly understaffed, and there has been some challenges with attending to dine-in customers as compared to the drive-thru, but if they hire more people, I know this McDonalds can continue to provide excellent service. The servers here are quite efficient with keeping the bathroom clean and getting food out to the customer, plus the food is here is usually fresh. Despite a few flaws with understaffing, this McDonalds location is better than most of the McDonalds locations in the Northern Virginia area.”

Parking is on both sides, just go around the back and flip to the other side for more parking. There was a group of ladies in that were quite loud while we there and it made it hard to hear anything else including our own conversation do to the small size of the dining area and all hard surfaces. My wife is vegan so it was pretty much beans and rice for her but the portion size was good. Worth a stop and they have 9 locations around.”

“I honestly prefer this Dairy Queen over my local one, which says a lot about the quality of the food and the service. It is usually pretty clean, and the servers are very nice and professional. They also have great burgers that taste fresh, and unlike the Vienna location, they don't charge extra for the ice cream. Bathroom was also pretty clean, which was not an experience I had in the other Dairy Queen. The quality of the ice cream is good, and I haven't had any issues with getting sick from this place, while I have from the Vienna location.”

Stir fried beef (chef special) was cooked perfectly. Very tender beef Reservations: you might need a reservation if you go around 7pm. We went on a Sunday at 6pm, and were seated immediately. After 6:30 all the tables were filled. Fyi, your clothes will probably smell strongly of Sichuan peppercorns when you leave. So just beware.”

Their pizzas are consistently delicious and less salty than other pizza restaurants. They also have healthier options like gluten-free pizzas and tasty salads. This makes it more appealing to go back and try. The service is decent, and the servers are friendly. The place is well-maintained and clean. The first thing that coughed my attention was the interior decoration. The floor was painted like the sea, It had fishing nets hanging on the wall. It gave you a vibe like you were at the sea. The food was amazing. The seviche was my favorite dish, and it was nicely decorated with a plate on top of a boat. However, the arroz con mariscos is not a bad choice. “In Rio Grande Valley border towns, this South Texas chain is famous for its breakfast tacos with homemade tortillas. For maximum effect, go first thing in the morning when everything is fresh, order at the counter, and ask for your tacos con frijoles, papas (potato), y huevos (3 egg options were w/ chorizo, sausage and “a la Mexicana”). They’ll smear a spoonful of frijoles on the tortilla and then load it up with everything else. I’d also get salsa and pico de gallo, but on the side so it doesn’t get everything soggy. 2 tacos are enough for most people. They’re pretty big. I’d say the ones in the RGV are still on another level, but this is still doubtless the best breakfast tacos in NoVA, and I’m glad to have them when I’m craving something authentic. I was stunned when I realized this staple of my hometown had several locations here. They should probably limit their hours to early afternoon to focus on breakfast / lunch until they grow enough business out here. I think once it catches on, it’ll be yet another DC-area place with long lines.”

We were looking for a place to get pizza and a beer while we watched a Sunday night football game. The good sized dining area was full of sports fans watching football on multiple screens. All the games were on. The draft beer section and our pizza were actually really good. We were very happy with our choice in beer and pizza. The crust was nice and chewy and very well made. Food and drinks are decently priced and we took half a pizza home for leftovers.”

They will probably make anything you want. I wanted chicken, bok choy, and rice. The woman behind the counter was very clever, funny, and nice. She recommended a simple salt, pepper, and garlic sauce. They cooked it very quickly. There was a lot of food. It was very tasty. I saw many things on the menu that I want to try. Coincidentally, there were also a number of older couples like us coming for the good food at a decent price. It was pretty crowded for a Thursday evening, but we got a table at the height of the dinner hour. I imagine it would have waiting times on weekends. We had prime rib, nicely done, and salads. Fresh bread comes with the meal. A bit noisy, but the service was good.”
