“Absolutely a gem! This is one of the best Mediterranean restaurants in the area. We ordered a gyro combo with the feta fries, the steak souvlaki platter with the rice pilaf and side salad, another gyro, and the tirokafteri appetizer. The steak souvlaki was cooked perfectly medium rare, so juicy and so soft. The rice pilaf side dish and the side salad were so rich and plentiful. Then the gyros were huge! The gyros tasted so fresh and were high quality. My photos did not do the gyros justice ?, and make sure to order the feta fries! What a fun and cheesy take, the lemon paired really well with the feta.And what surprised me most was how delicious tirokafteri appetizer is, especially when they served it with hot freshly toasted pita. I’ve never tried it before, and this is a great appetizer to share with a group. Really 10/10 experience especially after all the employees and manager were so friendly and checking in on our experience so far. I’ll definitely be back.There is also plenty of parking available immediately outside of the restaurant or in the garage next door. The restaurant was clean and had plenty of space, mixed seating available for smaller or larger groups.“

“City Diner is the best! My honey and his good friend and I get there at 8:00 a.m. most Monday mornings for breakfast. That's when they open and they're always ready to welcome us in with a smile and seat us at our favorite booth. They know our orders and our names, are super friendly, and the food is hot and delicious!“

“In recent years there seems to be a proliferation of small-plate Mediterranean restaurants. But Yayla remains as one of the best, reasonably priced originals in northern Virginia. There is a pleasing range of mezzes, salads, entrees hot and cold, flat breads, spreads, etc . I had a Yayla mule, 3 spreads, lemony rice soup and superb shrimp. Friends chose a range of other dishes. I can guarantee whatever you choose, you won’t be disappointed. Everything is flavorful, fresh and beautifully presented. “We made a last-minute reservation before a meeting in Tysons corner. We had been here before because we used to live in McLean. This is really solid Greek food. The cucumber with Taziki sauce for an appetizer and the lamb chops for a main course can't go wrong.“

Very consistent and affordable spot that used to take only cash and now takes card - which is nice. Some limited outside seating is available but this place is mainly a takeout location. Menu has all the standard breakfast items and they are available all day. The biscuits and gravy are basic but hit that homestyle taste for a bargain. I've never ventured outside of their breakfast food but I have no reason to doubt it's quality. If you need a quick and affordable breakfast/lunch this is your spot just south of DuPont Circle and by the Farragut Red Line Metro.“

You'll feel like you're on a treasure hunt and maybe in the wrong building, but go to the G (=LL) floor via the elevators and it's there. Simple decor and the owner is really friendly and accommodating. The food was excellent - I am vegan and he had no problem using tahini instead of tzaziki in my falafel sandwich, which was one of the best I've had! The prices were extremely reasonable and I am just sad it's so hidden away that people won't just run across it without knowing about it. The food was obviously prepared with care. Worth a visit - I plan on returning!“

“I’ve been eating here since before they renovated the place, which is a while. The old spot was smaller and cozy, and the new one is much bigger, with very clean bathrooms, and nice decor. Everything in their menu is great and they are nice with substitutes. My go-to is the falafel hummus veggie pita, no provolone, jalapeño kettle chips, two oatmeal raisin cookies and a blue Powerade. The staff is super friendly in-person and on the phone. Thank you Perfect Pita!“

Got the medley of the ground beef , beef (steak), island chicken and pork with the pita bread and tzatziki (with diced olives on top). The food was very flavorful and clean. “I just ordered through DoorDash and my goodness is it good. I got the platter with chicken, fries, and the side village salad as well as the spanakopita (spinach pie). Everything was warm, delicious, and flavorful. I especially loved the spinach pie and the spicy feta dip. The side village salad wasn’t overly flavored with onion, which as someone who doesn’t love onions, I was thankful for the minimal amount.“

We tried chicken and veggie platters, both were flavourful and light. You order at the counter and they bring the food to you. We also brought their baklawa home and loved it.“
