“We found raaga by accident and ever since it has been our favorite local Indian restaurant. The food is fresh and delicious! I end up ordering 4-5 dishes so that we will have leftovers and the naan is better than anywhere else we’ve been. The atmosphere is cozy and quaint“

“Let me start by saying that I had the worst day and the worst week… I gave up and decided I wasn't going to cook and ordered out food. Decided to try this Indian restaurant for the first time and the staff was very kind and recommended some of their best dishes. And the food....changed.....my....life...I could have this everyday for the rest of this week.
My dinner turned my bad day into a good day at 8pm. So if you're having a bad day and don't have energy to cook Haandi Indian is where you start making it better. ??
Ordered the Samundar Ki Begam (red) and Gosht Vindaloo (brown) and garlic naan.“
“MOST FLAVOURED INDIAN PIZZA IN USA SO FAR. ZERO FLOP & PIPING HOT. RENAMED RECENTLY TO SPICE CIRCLE.##### I RECOMMEND #####(Reviewed on 16 Jun 2023 afternoon after multiple visits in days before)TRIVIA :(plz order dine in not to go)Out of all the states i have been to,I would never have guessed i'd find the best Indian Pizza in West Alexandria, VA (or Falls Church, VA). Recently got renamed to SPICE CIRCLE and the board has changed but it serves every item from Indian Pizza Co.I have eaten in roughly 20 Indian pizza places from over 9 states, and this one clearly beats them all by a mile. The only other that comes really close to it is Italian Express in Coppell TX.PLACE :Hilly, shopping center, accessible, lots of parking, short drive.CUISINE :PROPER ROMAN & INDIAN STYLE PIZZAFOOD :Please order dine in and nit to go.The prices are GOOD. quantity and plating is personal sized and not overdone. Nothing goes wasted (not even the crust ends). Lot of zesty and savoury notes in their pizza.--Must Try :My FavouritesMIXED VEGGIE PIZZA (ABSOLUTELY BRILLIANT)CURRY CHKN PIZZA (ABSOLUTELY BRILLIANT)Makhani/Butter pizza (honourable mention)All their pizza's are awesome, but these above two are just BRILLIANT. Delivering a punchy curry flavour on a cheesy pizza not easy, and they nail it. Lots of zingy, earthy and tangy notes in the curry flavoured pizza. Lots of zesty and rich savoury notes in their Veggie pizza. Pizzas are well done with zero flop. Worth driving far for it.AMBIENCE and STAFF :Very casual and cafe like.Staff is very friendly, quick, attentive at service.A couple of nepali guys lead the kitchen and Nate makes the sauce recipe and monitors the flavour range. Very friendly and easy to approach.“

“I absolutely adore this place and I’m already planning my next meal here! We shared the Palak Chaat and I ordered the best garlic naan and classic chicken tikka masala I’ve ever had. Reasonably priced and amazing table service. You cannot skip the Cookie Butter Dosa for dessert!“

“Tasty, vegetarian, cheap eats! I appreciated the presentation (even in paper plates) it feels like street food. Presentation and the restaurant were super clean.
Mutter Paneer and Rajma are super creamy and delish. The basmati rice was the real basmati, and hit the spot.
Service was very snappy and the minimalist dining room comfortable.
We will come back for cheap dinner.
Vegetarian options: Try Rajma, kidney bean dish, this was my first and it was great.“

“We are in town for a concert and we came across this gem. The reviews were good so we decided to check them out. The staff was very friendly, nice, & attentive. They made sure we were ok. The food (chicken wing appetizer, chicken chili, lamb chops entree, & lamb vindaloo) was seasoned very well, arrived fresh, and hot. If you’re in the area stop by. Let’s me also mention that the food portions were good and it’s reasonably priced.“

“Food was great. Overall satisfied with the meal. Wait staff was quick and friendly. Worth a visit. Only way it could be improved is to have citronella candles on the table. There are no candles on the tables outside. Be sure to tip generously!“

“Thank god this place opened , the food is really great and the staff is really very welcoming and kind , they helped me through the menu as to it was my first time trying Eggholic , and am AMAZED by it , the atmosphere and ambiance is very pleasant, I don’t know why there are negative reviews but from my experience I’ve had a very positive vibe and I would recommend Surti Gotalo( Specials) and lachko, they are mind blowing and have very different flavors. Would recommend this place ?????“

“Absolutely one of my favorite spots. I order from them regularly (Cameron Station). The Pork Belly and Sesame Tofu are to die for! the Lamb Dumplings also are very good. The Kale Chaat is excellent, and the Lamb Biryani was spicy. delicious and enough for luch the next day after 3 people ate off of it! Will definitely be checking out their $12 bowls! the Indochen in Old Town was too nice! Lamb Josh Rogan was good but I'll stick to the Biryani or try the Vindaloo next!“

“We ordered enough food for five people. The lamb shank and lamb chops were great. I didn't fully like the vegetarian options. Forgot to take pictures of the main course and appetizers. Though the desserts were awesome except for the gulap jamun.“

“I've been there for a lunch date with my husband on a weekday! We sat by the window and relished malai chicken kabab, chicken makhani in entree, and ended the date with the ginger tea! I would say everything was delectable, and we would visit again to explore other things on the menu.“

“There is no better Indian food for hungry people! They held and seated us, a 10 person party, until the end of the restaurant hours with cheer.
Reasonably priced for sharing food, and you’ll want to get a bit of everything. The crackling spinach has such a unique tamarind flavor, it is a must try.
We come here after a lot of our New Morning Farm farmer’s markets, and they never disappoint. Highly recommend!!“

“We had a party of 9 show up as walk in. They accommodated us very easily. Our party has various dietary preferences and they were very attentive.
The chaat / appetizers were the best. Wish we ordered more of that.
The service was great. They were very attentive to us. Quick to rectify any issue. And unexpectedly had great group photo taking skills.“

“I just had my 2nd absolutely DELICIOUS Indian dinner at Virraaj on Cordell. My husband noticed what he thought was a new restaurant across from the public parking last week so we went there for our Wednesday date nite. We went earlyish and only a couple other tables were taken when we arrived but by the time we left at 6:30 ish it was just about full so best to make reservations. Even with many diners, it was still easy to talk to each other and be heard. I started w/ the AAM Palak Chaat appetizer which I had first tasted at Rasika and have ordered every time I have seen it on a menu. Definitely rivaled Rasika's and the portion was big enough to share w/ my husband as an appetizer. My main was the Murgh Bahak/ Kadai Chicken. So tender, so tasty with onion and green and red bell peppers, delicious brown sauce w/ terrific spices plus a little spicy kick. I ate as much as I could and still had left overs for 2 lunches at home. My husband ordered a lamb dish he enjoyed and finished every morsel including the rice. I saw some reviewers would have liked more rice. We had plenty with our meals so maybe they are giving more w/ each dinner. The waiter was attentive, professional, courteous and nice. The restaurant itself was classy & beautifully appointed - you could tell someone put a great deal of thought and money into designing it. This week we had friends visit who live in VA, within walking distance to Clarendon. We always go there for Indian food because there are so many good Indian restaurants to choose from but they were excited to try Virraaj from our comments about how much we enjoyed it. Before ordering takeout, I called and spoke to Jenni 3 times because I wanted to order what I had ordered last week but couldn't remember the name. She could not have been kinder or more patient in helping me figure out that it was the Kadhai Chicken. It may not seem like it from this review but I am a picky eater - happy to pay any price (just about ) for good food but am too often disappointed in Bethesda. Virraag got the highest marks on everything important to me: service, food, and ambiance - all of us enjoyed our meals and noone was disappointed. We ordered pickup for 4 main dishes including my fav Murgh Bahak/Kadai Chicken, Butter Chicken, Lamb Tawa Masala and Hariyal Murgh Tikka, naan and roti. All went on 2 big lazy susans on the dining room table and we kept on spinning, tasting and enjoying. The wife of the other couple always orders the Butter Chicken and kept on saying how moist and delicious the chicken was tonight. We all tried and liked everything - - not one complaint. So glad that we have a great Indian restaurant to go to and take friends to and not worry that anyone is not going to enjoy -- it is that good!“

“Wanted an Indian restaurant for my birthday- first time visit. The food was delicious, and I was pleasantly surprised at the extra attention they gave to make sure our experience was great. When a large reunion showed up and seated near us, we were asked if we wanted to relocate somewhere quieter in the restaurant which I appreciated. Will return for sure!“

“First of all the restaurant is so elegant and not in a pretentious way. The service was extremely friendly and the food was so good, I was making audible noises akin to being suspended in ecstasy, but the food is really that good. Really good choice of alcohol too. The portions are also quite generous. Must come back again!“

“The most perfect place of its kind. Awesome food paired with even better owners. This isn't hyperbole: The best student eatery in Georgetown. I started coming last year after they reopened and fell in love. Its an eatery, so don't expect large-restraunt ambience, but the food is delectable.
I've eaten most items on the menu alongside my friends (fellow Georgetown students who similarly love this place), and each is amazing. The naan is nothing special, but their entrees never disappoint. The portion sizes satisfy gluttons like myself without compromising quality. Aside from their masalas (chicken tikka is my cliche favorite), their appetizers are a hidden gem. In particular, I advise samosa chaat, which comes with a shockingly delicious mint chutney.
I've watched this place rapidly become a fixture for Georgetown students and the city at large. Open late on weekends for hungry students and manned by a friendly, dedicated staff, my out-of-town guests can expect to eat here at least once during their stay.
Vegetarian options: Its Indian. Duh.“

“One of the best Indian restaurants I’ve ever been to. The menu is diverse based on different regions of India. The food is authentic and there is something for everyone, even for those who are not fan of spicy food. The service was impeccable!! The owner came to our table and we had a great discussion about their cuisine vs Middle eastern cuisine, and shared all the commonalities. We will be back for sure.“

“Great Indian-Nepalese restaurant in Bethesda. Ordered the chicken Biryani along with Chili chicken and garlic naan. The Biryani was well prepared and fresh. The chili chicken had an abundance of flavor. It wasn't too spicy either. Our server was very kind and gracious. Will come back next time I'm between Baltimore and DC.Best food and best service“

“7/30/24 - something changed! (in the neighborhood ?). Their everything bowl now includes all 3 meat options! Yay! 4 stars for sure!
----------
Good portions, good food, good price. Service is friendly and quick. Ambiance is mall food court, with lots of energy and people moving about. The taste, though, isn't as flavorful as I would expect from Indian food, and while they have 2 choices of meats, they could be more generous with the servings.“

“Good Nepali food and good service. Most of the restaurant is partitioned to be used as a party hall and feels like a take out place in the dining area.We loved that tandoori, Momo's and curries. The Samosa chat was delicious. If you like indian food but prefer the milder version of curries and biryanis, this is the restaurant for youService was great and the staff was very friendly.“

“This restaurant deserves a much higher rating than what’s shown. The condiments of the vegetable pakora and the pakora were simply exquisite. The chicken madras was to die for. Though the biryani was perfectly fine, the meat was like a cake. It was tender. I am definitely coming back.“

“The absolutely the BEST Indian food in Falls Church, VA! Or Northern Virginia for that matter. The food is delicious and full of flavor &I love the fact that you can choose a certain spice level. The lunch buffet is great as well. You can try a variety of dishes that they have. I have even tried some of the vegetarian dishes during the lunch buffet, and those are great.“
