“The manager and his staff more than made up for my previous trip to this location. Although they didn't know who I was, the service and food was 10 times better. The manager, a former principal, was super nice. While I was dining in, I placed an order to go. He made sure it was correct and brought the To Go to my table. That is how it should be done!!! Kudos!!!!“

“When a menu has both Thai and British fare, try both! Second time in with my wife and the food is fantastic. The restaurant is clean and the service is great. We had the pad Thai and fish and chips with the haddock. Best F&C I've had. The fish was cooked perfectly, the batter was light and crisp. The pad Thai was top notch as well. My wife likes it so much we are taking my mother-in-law back when she visits from Michigan.“

“Walking into this restaurant you forget you are in a strip mall. The decor and food takes you into a whole different world. The owner is usually there & all the staff are pretty nice. The food is consistent in flavor, this is my favorite Thai place to eat.“

“We went to Lewis Ginter Botanical Gardens and once again they had no vegan option for us so we got on Happy Cow and found this place. They did a fabulous fajita for us with salad and guacamole. “Always a default. Great service, rotating menu, interesting drinks. And, their rail, or well bottles are pretty high end. When we can't figure out dinner or brunch, Tazza always comes through. And I can walk there. Had the Heuvos last weekend. Different but I ate it all. Ask for some bread. Lovely outside seating.“

“We did not make reservations, and the hostess worked with us and accommodated our party of five. I did not expect this since it was Mother’s Day. The service was excellent, and the food was delicious. Three of us ordered the crab cake eggs Benedict. The eggs were perfectly poached. Two in our party ordered the crab omelette and the lobster BLT. Both my mother and father-in-law said that their meals were excellent. I highly recommend the cocktail the bubbly fizz. “Love the warm cozy feel of an independently owned restaurant. Always superbly decorated to reflect the season. Where else can you drink your hot beverage in a Christmas mug anytime of the year? The food is amazing and unique and you always receive a warm welcome. It's not a cookie cutter place. It feels like home, and their bread is one of a kind!“

“I was visit my parents and walked through our neighborhood to get some local coffee and breakfast on a Sunday morning. While I couldn’t sit/order inside because of the dogs, the barista was more than accommodating to take my order from their outdoor seating and bring me my food and drink. I don’t think it was on the menu but I ordered and espresso soda (espresso, club soda, vanilla syrup) and the barista was once again very accommodating and made it no problem. It was super good! I also ordered an egg and cheese on an English muffin which was delicious. Seemed like white cheddar and a soft fried egg. Would highly recommend this local place! I also appreciated how early they were open on a Sunday morning. I paid about $11 before tipping.“

“Excellent Thai food! We always order the Pot Stickers for appetizer. Thai noodles with peanuts is delicious. Red curry chicken, shrimp fried rice, it is always excellent.“

“I wanted to write this review because this was my first visit to the Melting Pot. The atmosphere and service was great overall! I'll admit that I didn't taste a lot of the food. I can't eat a lot at one time, so, I was tasting and waiting for the next great course. So, with that being said, I only ate a few bites of my entree, knowing that I could have it later and still enjoy the experience of each course. I didn't know that when I cooked it all at the end that it wasn't going to be boxed up, like my cheese was placed in a container. I didn't realize it was gone until the leftover chocolate and little dippers were being boxed up. I don't want it to be a bad thing towards my server, because despite that mishap, she was great. I was disappointed though, considering the cost and I didn't get to taste everything. I get home to dip my cheese and didn't have dippers for that. A great tip is to let newbies know about the ability to bring home your entree and such. Overall, a wonderful experience!!“

“How can this place not be among top 2 places in Short Pump? Wierd algorithms perhaps? For us, atmosphere is half of any dining experience. This place has it going on. On a chilly day, they had the open fire/fireplace going in the front dining area. Smelled and looked beautiful! The chili shrimp tostada was awesome as light happy hour starter. The wood-fired pizzas are the best around (just my opinion), particularly the spicy sausage with black pepper honey variety. Sweet with heat. Crispy edges on the pizza from the high temp oven. Love everything about this place and will return. Oh, solid craft beer options, too.“
