“Great find while visiting family! I'm in the area a few times a year and there are only so many restaurants, especially on a Monday before summer. The Office was outstanding in all ways. Service by Tashima (sp?) was warm, thoughtful, and attentive. Food was great with a wide range of options, all delicious. Cocktails and beer/wine selection were much better than I expected. And it's upscale without being stuffy or making anyone feel out of place. We appreciated the extra attention to the birthday girl we celebrated. That was one of several small gestures that we wouldn't have thought to miss, but meant so much. We'll be back next time in town!“

“Me and my friend did a little "Oyster Tour of the Middle and Upper Peninsula" and Fish Hawk was stop #2. While we only had the oysters (which were FANTASTIC!) the atmosphere of the place and decor (including the whole Tides Inn) were top notch. Nothing compared to our bartender Frank! He was so nice, and knowledgeable. We got there close to closing but he took time to give us a tour and a fantastic history lesson about the Inn and the area. I would have come back because all 3, Food, Service and Atmosphere but honestly you can have ok food and atmosphere. People make it great. Frank is great and we are gonna make another trip soon because of him. Yall have a gem!“

“Great food truck in Kilmarnock. Give them a try. Burger was great and the Maine lobster roll is out of this world with plenty of lobster!“
“What a gorgeous property and setting as you enjoy a glass of wine and some music on a hot late afternoon. I was given a taste of five wines before choosing the unique chardonel which was aptly described as a perfect porch sitter. Speaking of the porch, it's a comfy and spacious wraparound with a nice view of the vineyard and surrounding property. Indoors is a nicely air conditioned bar with a party space and we heard a live DJ. Salty Bob's food truck has tasty bites. We chose the crabby fries and crab bites, because, well...crab! They were both delicious comfort foods.“
“The sign out front says it all. "Best of Virginia" might be an understatement, actually. We stopped here for lunch with our nephew just to "try something different." What we experienced was an amazing meal in a gorgeous and comfortable setting, as though we were visiting President Wilson at his country home for tea.We will absolutely go back. And even though we live in the area, we might even book one of the cute "cabins" in the back for a romantic getaway, simply because of this spontaneous visit for a bite to eat. ❤️ ?Be sure to read the history about this place and why they've named the cabins the way they did. It will splash your heart with a touch of patriotism, and you'll be all the more grateful that this historical gem has been maintained with such beautific standards.“

“Their oyster Po' Boy known as the Kevin Wade was amazing. The pickled red onions put it over the top. I recommend starting off with their Bloody Mary topped with a pickled okra, and if available, a heart bowl of Turkey Brunswick stew and enjoy in their outdoor seating. A great place for memorable cuisine, ambiance, and great service. Will be dining there again!“

“The fish tacos were outstanding! As well as the crab cake. Know what's even better, putting the crab cake in the fish tacos. The only thing that wasn't worth trying again was the crab soup. Y'all should try doing the crab soup.“
“We live far out on the border line between cell reception and multiple dropped calls. When we must travel to Kilmarnock, we find the Front Porch to be a warm, welcome place to settle for a break. If you haven't already, stop in and relax with a snack.“

“My boyfriend and I stumbled across The Galley and absolutely love this restaurant. We have taken all of our friends and they are huge fans as well! The service is unmatched, especially in a time when great service is unheard of. The food is fantastic! My boyfriend thinks he is somewhat of a prime rib connoisseur, so that says a lot. They always have amazing lunch and dinner specials, and the prices are always fair. If you haven't been yet, definitely check out The Galley!“

“Lots of seating indoors and outdoors (patio is pet friendly with water bowls). Lots of vegetarian options and really great coffee and the walnut sticky bun is amazing! Prices are around $6 for coffee and $15 for food (serving sizes are large).“
