Hawaiian style musubi with a twist. It's "supersized". No more buying 4-5 regular musubi for 1 serving. Recommend OG to start or Diablo if you can handle spicy. If you don't like seaweed, they also make it in a bowl

For mall food, this one is a bit different. I was looking for something other than the chains and fast food (all kind of mediocre), but also something quick. This place was perfect for that. Ordered a couple of musubi and it was plenty filling (even had some left over) for a reasonable price. Ordering was pretty straight forward and service was fine. This is small little dining room, but nice to be out of the main mall traffic where the tables are for the rest of the restaurants. are.

It was my first time here. I got the og musubi and the og salmon onigiri. Pleasantly surprised with the og musubi, it tastes pretty similar to how my family made them growing up. The og salmon onigiri was okay. It tastes more like a salmon/egg salad more than a traditional Japanese salmon onigiri. highly recommend the og musubi if you want something similar to the traditional Hawaiian dish

Absolutely delicious musubi, they hit the spot every time. The prices are reasonable and the food comes out fast, I typically spend $8-$9 dollars every time I go. A must try when you’re thinking of trying a new food place at Tysons!

Cool idea, unfortunately bad execution. I was really excited to try this spot but sadly... it was just not good. I ordered the spicy salmon musubi and it was bad. Sooo spicy, hardly any flavor just spice, and the rice to salmon proportion was so off. It was so spicy it was almost inedible, and I could barely even finish one half of the musubi before throwing out the rest. I really wish I could say I liked this place but oh well. Maybe I just ordered the wrong thing and I'll try it again in the future. People seem to like it but I was just disappointed.

Capital Musubi is one of the better fast food options. Delicious! Ordering is easy through their few kiosks. I think the musubi is made fresh. It was nice and warm and ready within five minutes of ordering. They will call out your name when ready. We ordered a side of fries. While I will eat any fries, I think the fries were particularly salty. A whole musubi is about the size of a sandwich bread sandwich. Bring hand wipes or be ready to wash your hands because the sauce/juice can get on your hands while eating. No outside food or drink is allowed; the seats are for Capital Musubi customers only. There are several tables and bar stool seating.

I've seen this place tucked back in the food court area of Tyson's Corner Mall on the first floor to the left of Wasabi, the rotating sushi place. It's a smallish size restaurant with a cute rice ball mascot that I didn't give a second thought cause I've never really been a big spam fan. A coworker said I really needed to check it out as it was her favorite place to eat in the mall. Happy to say I see why now! You can order and pay via kiosk which allows a nice look over the menu. If you pay cash you can order in person at the register, it just might take a few minutes. Basically what they serve is a modified Hawaiian/Japanese hybrid musubi. Your choice of fillings (ranging from spam, egg, fried chicken, shrimp, crab etc), toppings and sauces, sandwiched between a thick layer of rice and wrapped in seaweed. They also sell rice balls, rice bowls and a variety of sides. Being our first time here we kept it simple ordering the OG (Spam, scrambled egg, sauce and furikakke) and a crab salad rice ball. Flavor wise it was delicious but messy to eat. It was hard to peel the cling wrap off the musubi and the nori would stick to the wrap. Same with the rice ball. It didn't take away from the delicious taste, just a bit of an annoyance. Don't know if I would make a full meal out of the musubi but it was a nice treat. Décor was trendy and funky (in a good way!) with plenty of seating and a lot of take out orders. Plan on stopping back when we're at the mall and craving a snack.

Food was alright, not super tasty, kinda just downed it cause I was hungry. Wrapping on musubi made it messy to eat. 3/5 might be too generous for the pricing/experience ratio

I was on the hunt for dinner fast and I ended up here. This place is a quick to serve restaurant that has Musabi and a few other Asian favorites. The decor inside the restaurant is really cute and Instagramable. a bowl with tofu and tuna, and it was just OK.. I didn't have a ton of interaction with the staff because you order your food on an iPad at a kiosk. However, when I did go up to the counter to ask a question, there were some employees eating directly behind the counter, and they were on their phones. They definitely seemed annoyed that I asked a question from a serving standpoint, it wasn't the best interaction. Overall, this place will definitely satisfy your hunger but beyond that it's just OK.

I wanted a snack with some protein so I got the teriyaki chicken onigiri. They gave plenty of chicken, which was flavorful and saucy, so it got a little messy. I appreciate that they wrap them the right way so that the seaweed stays nice and crispy. I’ve eaten here before with my parents and they liked the food too. The restaurant had plenty of seating and was clean. The service was good, and the owner even came to ask us how we enjoyed the food. Next time I want to try the macaroni salad, which the owner said they make their own homemade mayonnaise for.Parking: Parking garage C is close by.

We loved this place so much we picked up a hoody! My spicy salmon was actually quite spicy, so I'd probably skip the jalapeños next time. The Spam egg and cheese musubi looked amazing. The serving sizes here are surprisingly large, so being your appetite.
