“The good: we ordered a few small plates that were tasty - meat pie, a red pepper spread, olives and moussaka.
The bad: When seated, we were given an all you can eat menu at $50/person. We had been to Ambar before so we knew to ask for an al a carte menu. Otherwise the server will not say anything. I think both menus should be given.
The ugly: when paying, the 22% tip button was lit up. No way to customize a tip. Other choices were 20% and 25%.
I don't like that you are led to believe there is only one menu - a pricy one at that. Also to assume your server should get 22% is a bit much. We are generous tippers when the service is good.“

“First time but not my last!
They do everything well. Attentiveness, presentation and most importantly delicious!!
Highly recommend making a reservation. It’s a limited space but that’s what makes it special.
And not that you expect a lot from fries but the fact that even the fries are elevated says something. Especially when you can eat them cold as leftovers and they are still fantastic!
A gem!“

“Ceibo was a great contemporary meal that offered a subtle window into South American cuisine. Some of the dishes were outstanding (particularly the potatoes and the asparagus). Others were ambitious but a bit unbalanced and we struggled to finish what was on the plate. The duck for example was a bit overcooked.
Ambiance and service was a delight. Overall enjoyed the meal but it wasn’t mind blowingly good as I was led to believe but some of these reviews.“

“I can’t think of another place in DC where the lunch experience is as delicate, balanced, and sophisticated as at L’Avant Garde. We have been extremely impressed by the quality of ingredients, the meticulous attention to taste, food texture, and creative, food-enhancing and creative cocktails. This is a very elevated experience. A marvelous combination of French techniques in food preparation combined with very high quality American ingredients and cocktails. The crab tartare! I mean … We LOVE it!!“

“July 2024. Austro-Hungarian bakery with brunch and dinner menu. Located in busy Georgetown but it’s off M street next to a tiny plaza. Sweets include Sacher and Eszterház cake. This is probably the only place in DC you can get a melange (coffee with honey on the bottom). Would be cooler if it came in a glass coffee mug. The egg on toast and lemon pancake soufflé were delicious. Add an ice cold beer if it’s summer!“

“I was very impressed with Brabo. The drinks were very good and the food was excellent. The service was off the charts though! Exceptional service. This was for a wedding rehearsal dinner and they were very accommodating but just seemed to be naturally good at this type of event. Well done!“

“The food was AMAZING, intricate flavors that tied together beautifully. Our waiter Marco, was impeccable; personable and knowledgeable about the menus. If you’re looking for a great date spot, with the feeling of a small French town, this is the place for you!“
