“It was our first time here. We were looking for Turkish or Persian food in the Northern Virginia area. Called and made a reservation for 6 PM. When we arrived, maybe 1/3 of the restaurant was full so we were a little worried that it wasn't a popular place. our server was very pleasant, answering all of our questions, and being very patient with us. we ordered two appetizers, the eggplant dip, and the olive and pomegranate dip. WOW! Incredibly fresh, made from scratch - really enjoyed both of those. The appetizers were delicious and absolutely from scratch. Alcoholic beverage selections are decent. I was hoping for an authentic Iranian or Persian beer, but only domestic on the menu. Great wine selection, and several mixed drinks. We ordered mostly skewers, including the lamb, which was so tender and flavorful, the chicken, which my wife said was the one of the best chicken kebabs she had ever had and I am GREEK (the spices were so unique and flavor was off the charts), A combo, one with skewer of beef fillet, and the ground beef skewer (tenderloin, of course, crazy tender cooked to perfection, the ground beef (I'm not sure I liked that flavor. There was something in there that was off to me flavor wise a spice maybe? not sure). For sides three of us had salad, which was fresh, crisp and delicious with the dressing and I had the rice, which I found very nice and flavorful. we finished off with the saffron, pistachio ice cream (we had a birthday girl with us) HOLY smokes that was quite a treat to the senses! It was the first time any of us had that, rich and creamy full of finely chopped pistachios and simply delicious. In the end a?great experience! Oh and the restaurant was packed when we left so my worries about it not being popular were obviously dead wrong 100% recommend this delicious restaurant! Yes, parking is a little tight because it's an older property (much narrower and small parking lot) but we did just fine.“

“I’ve tried almost all of their menu items and they are all delicious. Quality and freshness of their ingredients are noticeable and hands down best burger and fries in the area. As a Persian myself, Maman Joon is delivering true persian flavors. Love their new breakfast menu and you have to try the Egg Benedict it’s soo good(Lovin it ????).“

“We placed an order to pick up, and it was ready at the promised time. The koobideh and joojeh kebob were properly seasoned and prepared. The rice was long grain, aldante, and flavourful. The bread was warm and fresh.Prices are reasonable, and portions are large.“

“Aaannndddd we have found our new favorite spot.Service- Jack the event coordinator could not have been more amazing, Trey the shuttle driver was absolutely fantastic, and Robell the bartender was outstanding! We could not believe we received this service in NOVA. ❤️The bouncer was a bit stone-faced but honestly if things got crazy he looked like he would get the job done.Food- We bought the garlic wings, hot dogs and fries for the kids, and brauts for us. The food was really good and by the time I thought to take pics we had already devoured most of the food. The wings were my favorite.Atmosphere- There is so much… two kids bounce houses, a play gym, outdoor checkers and chess, cornhole, a place specifically for dogs to play, several tents, and a main area for bands. They seem to cater to everyone’s needs and it was great! Worried about kids ruining your kid free outing? The kid section is in the back! Even the placement of where they put things was well thought through.Bathrooms- They have trailer bathrooms that are honestly better kept, cleaner, and nicer than most public restrooms. Was planning on getting pictures but #kids and his fascination with how the toilet flushed…Parking- Ok.. option.. yes you have to park off of the premises which stinks, but honestly it’s a really short walk(5 min) and you are there. Worst part is crossing the road and the hill at the end. Don’t want to walk it? There is a shuttle that picks you up and drops you off so no walking required.Overall- AMAZING place!! “Loved Joon for Brunch. We will be back! Great food selection (we did a la carte) and our server Elijah was awesome. All of the dishes were well-balanced. It was lively by the number of active tables yet auditorily quiet around 1PM which was pleasant.Parking: The garage is free and easy on the weekends. Otherwise, park near the end of the Patsy's parking lot towards Tiffany's. Parking for this plaza in general can be an adventure to find your first time.“

“This is really a Mediterranean place, with typical options. They even asked if I wanted ice in the water, nice touch! I had a wrap with lamb. The lamb was hit or miss, some chunks tender and some quite chewed. My wife's falafel wrap was wonderful. The coffee and water were great.“

“So, I stumbled upon Maman Joon Kitchen at Tyson's and l can say its a solid chicken spot Vegetarian Friendly: Sadly this spot is not a great place as a lot of the menu is meat heavy. They do have options but you should really eat here as there main attraction is meat Decor: The ambiance is inviting and chill. It's the kind of place where you can relax and enjoy your meal without feeling rushed. And the bonus is they have outside heaters that keep you warm if you want to sit outside. Food Highlights: The Chicken Kabob stole the show for me as it was very well marinated and they included bread and yogurt which was great! Portion Size: Portion sizes are pretty good here so you definitely won't leave hungry, and you might even have some leftovers to enjoy later. But I wish they included 1-2 pieces of chicken as there was a lot more rice to chicken. Price: Considering the quality and quantity of the food, I'd say the prices are reasonable especially for Tyson Area. And just wanted to say there service was really good and got the chance to met the owner Peter Tabibian who was very nice and welcoming! Would I go Back: So even though it's good if I am in the mood for Chicken and Rice I would rather go to DCG as it has more toppings. But for a kabob place it was pretty good!“

“Very flavorful food! I order from them at least once or twice a month. Their restaurants are much cleaner than some other Kabob places. Only negative thing about Moby Dick House of Kabob is they don't have chickpeas and spinach like most kabob restaurants do, which is strange because they are all famous side dishes. For that reason, I frequent other kabob restaurants because my kids like those aforementioned side dishes.“

“I noticed this place had mixed reviews, but I was 1/2 block away and hungry so I rolled the dice. What a great place! It seemed larger on the inside than outside. It was clean. I have to rave about the service. I read one review complaining that the food took 20 minutes, well, as I ordered the proprietor told me it's was going to take 20 mins...it took maybe 15. He was so polite, and helpful answering a few questions about their menu. I received great service. So, I said as long as their food is good, I would support this restaurant again. I read a review about how amazing the hummus was, so I ordered that and it didn't disappoint! It was creamy, rich and delicious! I'll have that again. I had a large order so I tried a few different things. Their gyro with the typical meat was delicious. The pita was grilled a little too much for my liking, but overall still very tasty. Also, my order included a side salad, and it was fresh. The mixed plate was the winna, winna! Grilled steak meat kabob and then ground lamb meat looked more like a sausage over a huge bed of basmati rice. This would serve 2 people, for sure. I will return. Lastly, for all the "nervous Nancys" still wearing mask, all their sauces are individually sealed and containerized. Their spicy tzatziki sauce is dope.“

“Decent kabobs for anyone not looking for authentic flavors. The chicken breast is unusually moist and very tasty. I also like their hummus and bread. It's a great family meal that will last a few days. All of the options are delicious.“

“The food and service at this place is always awesome. Especially the gentleman who runs the front of the house. His name is Marvin, and he's the nicest guy you could ever meet. If you want good food, pretty quickly, and like people in general, this is a great place to get it. I've become a regular customer and I love this place.“

“I had an amazing dining experience at joon, the decor was beautiful the atmosphere was electric Quinn the mixologist made me and my guest some exotic drinks that where outstanding, and then the food came out we had joon kabob platter that’s was absolutely delicious!!! Can’t wait to visit again.“

“Located inside an old strip mall with other markets from around the world, this woman-owned Persian market is a one-stop shop for Middle Eastern produce and goods. Park in the lot just outside and enter into a world of spice. In the back is a counter that sells popular kabobs and other grab-n-go items.“

“Alborz was recommended to us by friends who are locals and it was wonderful for Persian cousins. I would highly recommend the place, and will be back when visiting the DC/VA area. Food tastes great and portions were are generous (excellent quality and quantity)“

“I live in the city but if I ever find myself within a five mile radius while running errands, I'm stopping for a mortadella sandwich. However, this is very much personal preference make sure you're cool with the toppings before ordering, it's not flavor combos you'd get at regular places. I've tried other things too but it's been too long so it wouldn't be fair to review. I always call in my order they're nice and helpful, my order is typically ready within 10-15 minutes for pick up.“
