“Been going to this restaurant for a long time, The decor is nice and modern, and the staff very attentive. The reason I keep coming back is because of the tempura! Let's face it everyone has their favorite dish, and mine is the Shrimp Tempura. The Panko batter is light flaky. Most other restaurants are like beer batter. And to be honest you do go back to the place that has your favorite dish. Ordered Osaka Box, Dancing salmon, side salad and of course my Shrimp Tempura. All very tasty! You will never be disappointed. Will always be loyal customer”

“The atmosphere is always warm and welcoming ! One of my favorite restaurants in Richmond. I usually frequent the Hull Street location, however I was dining with my cousin and we went to the mechanicsville location. Superb. Everything on the menu is a grand slam!”

“We found Pastahouse after realizing traffic was pretty bad after the Richmond marathon expo at the raceway. This was a pre race meal so we were hoping for fresh and clean food. This place is a gem! Absolutely amazing! Chicken parm, eggplant parm and chicken Marsala were excellent! So fresh and good. Website multiple times that we wish we had a place like this back home. Highly recommend!”

“Crumbl cookies is the perfect place to satisfy your sweet tooth and or cater for a small group of friends for brunch or an impromptu gathering of friends and family. Crumbl Cookies is always at the ready to provide a variety of sweet treats that will be all the rave at your soirée. They are always introducing new flavors into their normal fan favorites. I hope the the Apple Crumbl Cake shows back up pn the menu soon.”

“This is my third visit. I've enjoyed the food before and expect today to be no different. I ordered a lamb gyro and spanokopita. Love some spinach and feta. The staff are attentive even at the height of the lunch rush. The place is clean and inviting. My food came so I had to pause writing this review. The gyro was huge. No disappointments.”

“Traffic on I95 diverted me to take 301 to work. Because I did not have time to stop at my usual place for coffee before work, I stopped at Local Cup. I was greeted by the friendliest staff member with the warmest smile. I told her it was the first time there and she again welcomed me. I ordered a coffee and muffin and they were very tasty. Also the bar has a ton of beers and ciders on tap that you can run your card and help yourself. Convenient location too with ton of parking!”

“Gelati Celesti is a great little spot to grab some ice cream. It is located in a shopping center with plenty of available parking. The shop is clean and bright with minimalistic decor. There are tables to sit and eat both indoors and outdoors. It isn't a huge shop but does not feel cramped at all; it is wheelchair accessible. They have a number of regular flavors along with several rotating special flavors. Tonight, I tried a special flavor "cherry chip amaretto." The amaretto flavor didn't come through very much, but the cherry flavor was delicious. Not too sweet or overpowering. The chunks of cherry and the chocolate chips gave it a unique texture. The employees are always friendly and attentive, and the ordering process goes smoothly. You are allowed to sample a spoonful of the flavors before you order to make sure you like it, since a lot of the flavors are very unique.”

Here’s the great news: they actually have these wonderful gingerbread cookies year-round, we found out on our most recent visit!So what’s so special about these gingerbread cookies? An exciting treat, each bite builds a little from the spice blend, giving your body and soul that all-over warmth that only wintertime spices can. Why, there was even a gingerbread cookie kit for you to decorate your own gingerbread cookies with your loved ones!In addition to the walls and tables piled high with these culinary delights, there was an ample counter stuffed with individual donuts of all sorts, cookies, and other exquisite pastries to be purchased a la carte or by the dozen. Knowing that we were saving our gingerbread cookies for later in the day, we knew we had the perfect reason to order some fresh baked donuts to start our holiday morning, and promptly requested both a lemon filled donut and a cream filled donut.As soon as we got home, we neatly divided each donut so that we could share our breakfast, and each experience the flavors and textures we were so excited about! These donuts were both baked so nicely, with a delicately crisp but tender outside, with a light, fluffy but still doughy inside. What made these donuts sing was their balanced composition, as each was filled with just the right amount of creamy filling, ensuring that each bite had the proper ratio of filling to donut. As for the lemon filling, it gave the perfect amount of “pucker;” it was a well-balanced, sweet and sour flavor with a rich and cheerful attitude. A smooth, ambrosial cream filled the second donut, with its farm fresh ingredients and balanced textures.Hopefully, you can see how joyous our trips to Williams Bakery have been, and you know we’ll be back time and time again. “Traveling to the area with my job, searched for a breakfast restaurant. Found Cold Harbor restaurant. Stopped in for breakfast on April 20th. Walked in and was promptly seated by a friendly Hostess. My server was very friendly. Told her it was my first time there. We discussed the menu for a few minutes. I decided to order the Gravy biscuits with eggs. After ordering the food was served very quickly! Was a large plentiful serving. Everything tasted great! Gravy wasn't quite as good as mine though?. Will definitely visit again next time I am in the area.”

Chicken wings were very juicy and well cooked however I did not care for the taste of their Sweet Thai Chili sauce. That flavor is my favorite but something about theirs just wasn't right to me. I will try another one of their flavors. Once I find the right flavor, those wings will be top tier???The young lady at the bar is always very nice?Overall, I will be back. “We don't eat out often, but Riverbound is the local place we frequent the most. Always enjoy their food, they have great service - even when super busy, the waitstaff tend to keep us aware of where we "stand in the queue." Menu offers a lot, they also have weekly specials. Burger night is great for picking up and sharing. Favorite Sunday brunch place in the area - I ALWAYS get the French toast. Great neighborhood spot that will please most.”

I was charged $2 extra and I have no problem with paying that but I was given the standard amount for a normal order. $2 worth of jalapeños should equate to a whole lot more. “Bonchon is one of my favorite Korean/ Asian spots in the central Virginia area. The vibe of the restaurant is one like no other. Its dim lights and comfortable seating started us out with an amazing vibe at the beginning of our trip to Bonchon. The service did seem a little slow, it took the waiter a little while to get to us, but it looked like he was serving every table by himself and he was working very hard. He was a super nice guy and tried his best. I won't take any points off for that, because there's nothing they can do if they are short staffed. All of this food took 10 minutes to come out which was felt super quick. As for the taste of the food, we were blown away. The popcorn shrimp had the perfect ratio of breading to shrimp. The spicy mayo it came with was not overwhelmingly spicy but added a really nice complimentary flavor to the shrimp. The shrimp was good quality and the serving was generous as well. They were also hot in temperature which is nice to see that we weren't served cold food. The potstickers were phenomenal! They were crispy on the edges which is something that a lot of Asian places miss on. They were then filled with a soft pork filling which was great in quality. The soy garlic sauce on top, gave it a nice tang and added some flavor as well. As for the wings, they were absolutely incredible. The double fried monstrous drumsticks were the best in my opinion. The quality of the meat was amazing, it offered a juicy and fall off the bone quality of meat. The wings were great as well, I think they were a lot crunchier because of how small they were, but they still had a great amount of meat on them. The white rice it came with was typical white rice. I really enjoyed my experience at Bonchon. I wish it was a little more affordable, but for all the food you get and the quality, I think it is well worth it. This fed my girlfriend and I and we were both pleased with Bonchon. I highly recommend this spot to anyone who either hasn't tried Korean bbq or anyone looking for a change of pace in their Asian food rotation!”
