“I absolutely recommend this place! Their food is somehow better than their coffee and their coffee is immaculate! I ordered the K BBQ grilled cheese and the char was just a hair more than I’d traditionally prefer but that didn’t affect the flavor in the least bit. Despite the flaw, the sandwich was a 10! Don’t get me started on this amazing atmosphere. In an environment as rich in local coffee shops and K BBQ I’ll absolutely be coming back here. They’ve managed to make a returning customer effortlessly! 10/10 recommend!“

“This place was great! The coffee was good, and we were allowed to bring our dogs inside the building, even though they were not serviced Dogs, which was refreshing. We were able to sit at a table and they were able to relax right next to us. The people there are very animal friendly. The service was good and we will definitely plan to go back.“

“Norfolk location.... we have visited so many times and I'm always excited to see what is available for the day. The Cruffins are a must have no matter what. I wait for the flavor or the week announcement and immediately send it to my other half as he works only a few blocks away in hopes of him bring me one home. I work Monday through Friday until 5pm so I have to try to game for Saturday Mornings... My step son always requests to go for the BEC Sandwich no sauce!!! He has also grown to love that Mint Lemonade. We have never been disappointed with any purchase. Can't wait to try more and definitely need to go to the beach location.“

“Coalesence is the type of establishment that really makes you reflect on the "coffee" you've been drinking your whole life; it will probably come off a little pretentious, but it just doesn't compare. I still love my wawa iced whatever, but man, having an espresso tonic for the first time was nuts. Add in that you can have a nice breakfast/ brunch for about $15 total IN THIS ECONOMY and I can't sing their praises enough. Don't be a punk, get out of your comfort zone and try something new.“

Chairs and decor are caked with dust/dirt. The whole place needs a deep clean. Maybe it's part of the ambience. how long would it take to dust the furniture? It's always busy so maybe I'm the only one who gets bothered by the filth.“

“The single best coffee roaster in Hampton Roads bar none.They roast single origin coffees to perfection for my at-home pour-over. You get a free coffee drink with the beans you purchase so I always get their espresso. I try my best with my at-home setup but mine pales in comparison to their espresso, I'll be sticking to my pour-overs and leaving the espresso to the professionals.The breakfast sandwiches are also quite nice.But the coffee's where it's at.The space is also super cool for hanging out with your coffee and getting some work done.“

“Cute coffeeshop in the heart of ODU. I was in the area during my lunch break and decided to give a new coffee shop a try, and Yelp led me to this place. When I walked in, I was greeted right away. When I approached the counter to order, I did what I normally do when trying a new place, I asked the employees what they recommended, and they were happy to share their favorite drinks choices with me. I decided to try the Apple Jack Chai, which was one of the drink specials. Their drink sizes to me seem smaller than the average coffee shop, but I am ok with that because I feel like our portion sizes are crazy anyway, lol. When I received my drink, I loved that they gave it to me with the top off so I could see what I was getting. I took one sip, and I was like, "This is good," Then I took another sip, and I said "wow this is really good." It wasn't overly sweet, and all the flavors that you love in a chai (cardamom, cloves, cinnamon, nutmeg, etc) were all perfectly balanced and played very well with the apple flavor. As I was driving back to work, I only had one regret.....I honestly wished I ordered a medium, it was that good. I will defienly be returning to Borjo Coffeehouse again to try some more of their drinks.“

“Hubby and I needed a quick bite to eat. The lady at the register was just filling in for her daughter. Olive was the nicest lady to talk to. We both ordered the same exact thing. We ordered a salmon lox bagel sandwich and a bohemian colada. Both of them were delicious!! Our sandwich had salmon lox, dill cream cheese, pickled onions, egg, tomato and greens. Our smoothie had pineapple juice, almond milk, mango, coconut, and agave. We sat next to the window overlooking downtown Norfolk with the warm sun shining on us. It was a great.“

The catch is: the sandwich is a quarter of a whole sandwich. The rest of the accompaniments are also small in portion. We were left with the desire to have a secondary meal.
