“Wow, just wow. The food is so good I caught myself giggling haha. The Baja burritos (both breakfast and lunch) are incredible. This is my second time here and again, just wonderful. The atmosphere is 10/10, absolutely gorgeous. Today, we were served by Grace and she went above and beyond to help me find the perfect drink for me. This is now my favorite coffee and breakfast spot in Hampton roads!”

“Surf Rider recommended to us by a friend. We were so pleased. The Seafood so fresh and amazing. We had oysters and tuna bites for an appetizer and brought home flounder plate. Huge piece of flounder cooked perfectly. Our server, Brandi, took great care of us. She was so busy and yet so attentive to us. Can't wait to go back. Also beautiful view!”

“We ordered takeout. Cheese pizza and pepperoni pizza. And don’t forget the wings. First impression was unimpressive. The crust looked funnny, similar to the crust used in Lou Malnatti’s deep dish but it was soft. I would have liked it to have been crispy. Actually, it was the next day when I heated it up in the toaster oven. While I was thrown off by the different crust? I actually really liked it. It had a nice texture and flavor. The cheese was very good as well and the sauce was good.The same thing happened to the wings. I was told they were breaded and deep fried and they weren’t tossed in any sauce; the only sauce options were Blue Cheese and Ranch—dipping sauces. Not my usual preference but I thought I’d give it a shot. Surprisingly the wings were quite good. They were massive, like the chickens were taking ‘roids or something.It was better than I thought it would be and it tasted better than it looked. Look forward to trying the sandwiches next.”

“We really enjoyed our dinner at Chiri's Latin Kitchen!!! My kids got the carne asada and picadillo tacos and absolutely loved them both! The salsa was yummy and super fresh tasting! My husband and I shared the special and we all left with happy bellies! The wait staff was very friendly and all took turns checking on the tables. The owner even came by to see how we were enjoying our meals! Defiantly- will be coming back!”

“The place is very clean, the owner was on site helping the staff.Parking: We had gone on Sunday evening so parking wasn't a problem. I have been there for Karaoke night before and parking can be an issue if there is an event going on. There looked like one handicapped parking spot. It is on the same side that a wheel chair can access. The other side isn't handicap accessible. The owner said that he is planning on expanding to a new building in the future with more parking spots. Looking forward to a larger outdoor area.Wheelchair accessibility: One side is definitely accessible for wheelchair or other mode of ease. Go in on the side that has handicap parking.”

“First time here last week, and our experience was excellent. A comfortable atmosphere, our server Darbi was absolutely fantastic. The food was very delicious and we were pleasantly shocked to see our bill after dinner. $30 for a family of 4. Will return when we are back in that area.”

“When you first walk into El Rancho, it has the typical Mexican decorative flare, with bright colors and walls textured to look like stucco. Depending on the day of the week and time you arrive, you may have to wait, but it's never for very long. (Don't even try to get into the parking lot on the evening of the Poquoson Christmas parade!) Seating is somewhat comfortable. The tables and backs of the booths are painted with beautiful scenes. The chips and salsa are wonderful, but most of the time I have to ask for the white salsa. The wait staff is very friendly, but whatever you need, you should ask for when you order your meal because you may not see the wait staff again for a while. I'm one of those people who likes having both rice and beans, but here you have to order one or the other with your meal. The food is somewhat bland compared to other area restaurants. The fajitas need a bit more flavor. And as far as pricing goes, it's probably just above average for a Mexican restaurant. I don't know how good their alcoholic beverages are because I've never had one.”

“We frequently get take-out subs and salads from the Poquoson Subway. There are great variety of subs that they Subway staff can make for you and you can either eat-in or take-out. Also, most people don't realize that any sub order can also be ordered as a salad that doesn't include the bread. We enjoy the Honey Oat and Wheat buns for our take-out subs. The Subway preparation team are friendly, courteous, and polite. This Subway also has available 4 types of cookies to top-off your meals. The subs provided are filling and delicious.”

“When ordering at the drive thru today at 2pm I was greeted very politely by a gentleman and he even asked if I wanted onions or cheese on my chili. Working in customer service for years I'm greatful that he presented the options to me. When at the window he was still very polite and I noticed super tall which is a great addition to us stubby people . Haha. Just awesome experience today y'all. Great jobPs. The chili was perfect too lol”

“Ok...it's McDonald's. This is my go to place when iI need to burger fix fast. I order my food with the App and I really like using that. I get free food after a while and the two for one specials on the app are awesome. Get and use the App and you will not be disappointed.”

“Hi Kipp, I wish you were here when I visited today. This was the 1st fine dining place that I've been to where I received multiple calls before coming. 1st call to ask me if I was really coming because it was a busy night with CNU graduating and wanting me to put down a credit card to hold my reservation but changed your mind. 2nd call to ask again if I was coming and to 'set the expectation for the night' advising that you are only a 40 seater restaurant and you want to set your table 3 times a night. So if I could make sure to come on time and not linger longer than 7pm because you have my table booked. Well, I can honestly say that was a 1st. I spoke to other guest while waiting for the restaurant to open to see if they had the same experience. They got multiple calls but weren't asked for a credit card. I did hear another table asking James what happens if they are not done by 7 pm. So James had a table outside cleaned off so that they could finish their coffee and dessert outside. Anyway, food was okay. I'm not sure I could fully enjoy it because of the anxiety of looking at the time. We do a lot of fine dining, so I'm not sure I would rush back since I came in from out of town. The staff you had here tonight was night very friendly andon point. Maybe you could soften your customer service approach for future guests.In my normal reviews I spend more time describing the food. Instead I was more focused on your customer service approach.”

“Had my MIL birthday dinner. Service (Samantha) was excellent and on point. Drinks were good. Food was absolutely amazing. And desserts were over the top. (Don't miss the creme brulee) We all enjoyed the steaks, salmon,scallops and chicken. Cannot recommend chef Kyle and his staff enough.”

“My wife found this place we tried it and absolutely love the service here. We go back weekly for their brown sugar fresh milk and fill it with tapioca pearls. Our kids enjoy the strawberry fresh milk with ice cream and our daughter tried the egg waffle with ice cream and it was delicious. The kids tried their macaroons for the first time and were just as good and the kids loved them.Dietary restrictions: Oat milk, almond milk”

“My first time at yama was wonderful. We had it recommended to us and my wife and i decided to try it. Our usual spot is great but is becoming more and more expensive but that's inflation i guess. Anyways the service was great. Got drinks and food very quickly. The waitress was very kind and offered a a bevy of complimentary free treats like spring rolls and desert. Although i won't expect this every time. The sushi we got was some of the best i have had. The ambiance was quiet, intimate, and although i couldn't understand the music i was vibing a little. Overall a wonderful dining experience and my wife and i will be going back.”
