“We had to change our reservation to 15 minutes later and they were very accommodating. They found a table for us within 10 minutes even though they were quite full on the Saturday before Mother's day. The host took our order shortly after and the waiter was very pleasant throughout. The food came out hot and was delicious. We ordered the seafood platters and the seafood was so fresh with a light batter. The calamari appetizer and shared bread pudding dessert were delicious. The popularity of this restaurant has grown a lot since we first discovered it years ago and the quality of the seafood dishes remain excellent.“

“If you're near the Ashburn area, this is a really good Mexican restaurant. It was in a shopping center with many other stores that we had never been to. Service was pretty good and I loved the decor. One side had a bar too. We all enjoyed our food. The chimichanga was supposed to come with ground beef, but it can with shredded which was a delicious surprise. The guacamole was fresh. The salsa is more smokey, which I don't prefer but it was still tasty.“

It's a bit dark with the chess/checkered floor tiles with tables all around surrounding the bar area. But you do get a Cheers vibe with all the locals/regulars who stop in here for quick eats. As mentioned in previous reviews, all the servers are usually college students who make sure your beer is filled and you've had enough to eat. Eats start and end with their hot dogs, usually with chili and cheese if you're being proper. It's not the greatest chili cheese dog and sometimes you may wonder why you're ordering it. But the price and nostalgia always hit the spot and the taste reminds you why you're in here. Other eats I recommend are the wings (surprisingly good) and the fried zucchini (always eat your veggies!). Beer is either domestic or local brews that are Vienna Lager. Served in those classic cold mugs, the 80's-90's bar vibes hit once you pick it up and sip from it. Plus they are affordable compared to other places so that's a win in my book. As for other beverages, they have a serve-yourself soda station so you can get as many fills your stomach can handle. I make it a priority to stop here whenever I'm passing through Vienna and you should as well. Don't expect anything boujee; just enjoy a beer and a chili cheese dog here and call it a day. I wish they had some type of IPA on tap, but other than that, this place is a 10/10. I got a Medium-sized room for a group of four, and I loved the size. I wanted to try as much as I could from their menu, and I must say I was not disappointed. The corn cheese, mozzarella sticks, onion rings, ramen, garlic noodles, hot chicken wings, and bulgogi egg rolls were all delicious. “I have a love/hate relationship with this place. When it comes to events, everything is at the lobby once you walk in and it's filled with neon lights, a dimly lit bar full of many offerings of alcohol you can get, a few small sections for VIP for your friends, and usually a DJ playing their music. There's open karaoke as well but I don't know if people sing often in the lobby. So I have been here many times for my friends and even booked a room as well. Rooms are spacious and they do have pretty nice audio. But there is one thing that truly irks me every time I come here. So they have a touch screen where you can add your karaoke songs through YouTube or through their system but getting the videos to load is a pain. It's annoying to deal with because it skips to the next song in queue so if you are with a group of 5+ more people, it can be very stressful. The worst part is we asked the staff about it and they aren't really sure what to do about the connection. I mean they should really fix that because I'm sure it gets people upset. No one wants their song to be skipped. Aside from that, you can also hear the loudness from other rooms, I don't expect that to be an issue but it's noticeable on busy nights. If you do plan to go here, there's one thing I highly advise before going. Check their socials if they are hosting any event and call ahead to know about the room rates. The website shows their original flat rates for the room but in events, they raise the prices up. If you go in person, check the menu before deciding to put your money down. This place also adds gratuity to the bill so be prepared to drop down a lot. While I frequently come back here just to hang out with friends, karaoke is one of my favorite hobbies. Its never a good time when your song doesn't get played or you get charged way more than you should.“

Let’s start with Austin the Awesome! We arrived late after a bare-knuckle 4 hour drive, and we were exhausted from working all day and driving to the conference that evening. Well, Austin’s welcoming attitude lifted our spirits when we arrived. He greeted us at the car, took care of our luggage and escorted us to our rooms. He was personable and highly intelligent college student that is going to take the sport industry by storm for sure! Delicious dining options on site; and so many options onsite to wash your worries away. I was there on business, however I felt like I was on an 5 star island resort. If you are passing thru VA or looking for a great vacation spot, I highly recommend The Landsdowne Resort—when you do ask for Austin the Awesome!“

Ricky, and Mr. James provided me with Unforgettably great Hospitality. I recommend this Place for Auto-Mobile Enthusiasts, as that sorta is the Theme surrounded by Pool Tables and Arcade machines. Happy Hour is on Point; with great Snack Foods. I would not call them a DIVE BAR, I believe that since they have been in business for so many years that they have a higher standard outside of getting paying customers as drunk as possible. I'm going to continue to personally recommend this Place to my neighbors upon my next extended stay in Herndon- Reston.“

“Normally, I try to avoid eating at airports, especially at non- national chains. However, a few months ago I found myself at IAD with a long layover.We stopped by Bar Symon and it is potentially the best food I have ever had at an airport. I chose the Fat Doug Burger which has pastrami and swiss cheese on it. The menu may be limited, but what I got appeared to be well thought out and very nicely executed by the kitchen. I was pleasantly surprised and did not anticipate having such a good, burger at an airport.The server was courteous and took great care of us during the time we were there. She checked on us several times and quick with drink refills. The food was brought to our table quickly, and tasted as though it was fresh made. I do not fly into IAD frequently, but when I return, I will be certain to go Bar Symon. I just wish there was a freestanding one of these near me or even at my home airport.I noticed they did have a beyond burger for the vegetarians.It is airport food, so it is going to be pricy. However, it was in line with what i expected to pay at an airport and what I got was superior to anything else I have eaten at an airport for this price point.Vegetarian options: Beyond burger, plant based protein.“
