The food first and foremost was outstanding. Delicious ! Crab hush puppies were amazing. The staff were amazing. The ambiance was perfect. I will definitely recommend and will be going back.

Food was fine. Hospitality policies are horrendous. If you have a party of more than 6 people, go elsewhere. We made a same-day reservation for a party of 8 and were warned that they would “do their best to seat us at tables near each other,” but didn’t realize that meant they physically wouldn’t seat us together, which we discovered when we tried to put the tables together ourselves and were told we had to put them back the way they were originally. The GM, who my BIL spoke to privately outside of the restaurant about this, told us that they couldn’t (*wouldn’t) put two tables together to seat us all as one party, citing it would impede the ability of staff to move around the restaurant?? Keep in mind, this is a large restaurant. Keep in mind, the two tables they sat us at were against a divider wall, so the 2’ space between the tables wasn’t used as a thoroughfare for staff. Keep in mind that pushing the two tables together wouldn’t have involved adding or subtracting chairs. Keep in mind, the restaurant wasn’t even close to at capacity and had empty tables the entire time we were there. To me, this is confounding. A core principle of restaurant design involves having a certain amount of modular seating to accommodate parties of varying sizes, especially restaurants located in hotels like this one. Anyway, we relented and ate with an awkward 2’ chasm between our tables. I was then surprised that no effort was made to treat us like a large party — the waiter gave us water, took drink orders, took app orders, took entree orders and served food all at different times to our two tables. We couldn’t share apps between tables and conversation was extremely challenging without switching tables/seats. After dinner, we received two bills (one for each table)...but they had added an auto-gratuity which is only for parties of 6 or more. Which floored me, because they made such a big point of telling us we couldn’t sit together as a party of 8 and treated us like two parties of 4 the entire meal. They removed the auto gratuity and gave us a 25% discount on top of that (maybe they realized we were unhappy with the experience?), which was appreciated. But the entire experience was truly bizarre and definitely took away from our ability to enjoy our meal together fully.
