“On 08/03/2022, my wife and I brought our cousins here to celebrate their 50th anniversary. The food and service was excellent. Our waiter was Sean. HOWEVER, during the reservation process, I was asked at least twice if there was a celebration and if so what type. I indicated on both occasions that it was a anniversary. I just assumed that when I was asked about the occasion that this occasion would somehow be acknowledged. It wasn't. (Happy anniversary). I heard the waiter at the table next to ours wish the celebrants a happy anniversary. Also, based on other reviews on this site, I noticed that a dessert was given to the celebrants as a memento. Not to our party. As I said, the service and food were excellent but missing the little "happy anniversary" left me and my wife feeling a little empty.“

We reached out and they were able to accommodate our large party (30 people) which we are extremely grateful for. “I’ve eaten here for the past two weekends. The #1 jumbo males are my favorite. Last weekend I came as soon as he opened and requested to pick them up 3 hours later. Upon my arrival the owner had them boxed up and ready to go. My family was overjoyed with how fresh and succulent they were. Today was no different when I visited to get my #1 males. Same great customer service and amazing product for the past 20+ years we’ve visited.“

“I must say this small place is BIG on flavor. Baaaabbby there Pork steak combo is absolutely delicious ?! I have tried almost everything on the menu and for me. The top items are the Pork steak combo (pictured), chicken wings and the sea legs! I like so much more though. Oh that bologna burger mannnn... Give it a try!“

It didn't look good and then we went inside and it was empty, but I was pleasantly surprised at the excellent service from our waiter he explained the menu to us gave us lots of options to customize our meal and when our food came, it looked and smelled good. Yes it was plastic utensils and paper plates but the food was delicious and plentiful. Our server came back with free refills and asking if we had enough. If you leave hungry from here you did something wrong.“

It’s a more modern look than the traditional Mexican restaurants. The music was great and there were large TVs playing soccer at the time. The food was awesome. Very good margaritas. I thought about it for days, wanting to go back. There’s a big seafood entree that looked yummy, not sure what it included but I want to find out!“

“What an unexpected culinary treat. We wanted to try out Mantu after reading a favorable article about it in the RTD a few months ago. We belong to a gourmet group and I can't wait to bring them back with me to this delightful restaurant. Our dumpling appetizer of an encrusted whole egg was subtle, different, and enjoyable. Our main course kebabs were nothing like meat and veggies on a skewer, there were no skewers in sight just wonderfully grilled, tender, and amazingly flavored lamb and vegetables. Our desserts of custard with fruit and a very imaginative take on baklava were a perfect close to the meal. In the end, it was the remarkable and very different use of unusual spice combinations, together with a friendly and engaged staff and chef that will guarantee our early return. P.S. the Afghan cuisine, if you have never experienced it, is quite different from the cuisine of India and Nepal.“

“We visited tonight as we recently discovered how relaxed and inviting Stony Point is. We enjoyed a charcuterie board and drinks and especially the friendly staff. As our dog was watching from the door, they offered to deliver our food outside, then went back for a carafe of water for us. “I live Yoshi Sushi! They have always given me great service and very tasty food. I worked with sushi restaurants for about 10 years and I can say that the quality is great for the price. I always get the Tropical roll, it’s like dessert. The sushi rice is delicious, cooked just right. Nothing worse than sushi with overcooked rice. The foods that come from the kitchen are also great. Shrimp and veggie tempura, hibachi, and yaki soba are among my favorites.“

The shrimp the catfish and the whiting sandwich were phenomenal.Then the owner who I thought was the manager took my drink cups filled my drinks got me ketchup which you normally have to make yourself offered me cup holders and insisted I take them he held the door open for me and was so pleasant.Sir you’re amazing. “Friday 3/22/2024 This spot right here is a black owned restaurant that absolutely gets it RIGHT. I got the 2pc catfish special $10.75, snack & fries $11.85, and bread pudding $5. Both the fish and the catfish were very good and the tar tar sauce is a great sauce for it. I'm a fan of the fries as they were crispy and seasoned well. The bread pudding was a bit smaller than i expected and it comes with a lemon glaze icing on the side (which it didn't really need but that's just me). The bread pudding smelled amazing and it tasted pretty good as well. I 100% recommend this spot and I would definitely come back if I was ever in the area again.“

“Definitely for takeout, not for dining in. So far it’s had the best Chinese food of any restaurant I’ve tried in this area. The pork fried rice has the tasty chopped pork I expect to get instead of the little stringy brown pieces that many Chinese restaurants are using now. However, it lacked flavor. The beef with vegetables has very tender pieces of meat, and the vegetables taste very fresh. It’s very good, but needs a bit more brown sauce. The boneless barbecued pork has wonderful flavor but too many pieces with gristle, so I don’t recommend it. Overall, I’ve had two good experiences with Tings’s so far, and I will be ordering from them again.“

“Went to dinner with my sister and brother in law a few weeks back and a few dishes stood out that I wouldn't have expected. We ordered to share and for appetizers we got the burrata with roasted red pepper and the fennel. When I say GET THE FENNEL, I mean it. For mains we got the rockfish, the red mussels and spaghetti, and the carbonara. Hands down the Carbonara was the favorite. The Rockfish was ok but I think I was expecting more flavor from all the rave reviews. The mussels were good and the portions were HUGE. A tad expensive but worth the splurge for a nice night out. Forgot to take pictures of the food but the atmosphere is cute and very Richmond-y. Tables are close together as the space is small but I enjoyed it.“
