“Our church, Providence Presbyterian in Fairfax, has coffee and treats in between services so I decided to support local business and read the reviews. It was the right choice. Outstanding customer service and absolutely delicious mini cupcakes…among other yummy treats that I bought for myself. I ordered two dozen each of the chocolate, lemon and vanilla. They were all gone within minutes! We are a Matthew 25 church and one way we can help is to support businesses like Out of the Bubble. (Be sure to put some extra tips in the “college fund” when you are at the bakery.) Thank you and see you next month!!“

“Vocelli Pizza exceeded my expectations in every way! It’s a nice pizza take out spot off Backlick road. Their pizza is truly exceptional – the crust is crispy yet soft inside, and the toppings are always fresh and generously spread. I particularly loved the deluxe, the cupped pepperoni with all the fresh toppings and veggies was amazing! Their pepperoni rolls are really good as well, full of cheese and pepperoni. Their service is prompt and friendly, making the whole dining experience even better. Next time ur in Springfield, you need to check this place out. Highly Recommend!“

“We always have a great time at Nothing Bundt Cakes. Only wish we'd found it sooner. Those bundtinis are amazingly delicious!! Almost addicting!! Can't get enough but we need to pace ourselves. So rich and creamy; the receipe is a can't miss. I mean they've really nailed it!“

“First time here, Ordered the Alfredo MontAmore® with Parmesan-Crusted Chicken. Pleasantly a good size portion. Could use a bit more chicken but maybe because I like consuming so much meats. Flavoring and pasta texture was cooked nicely for a fast food type of restaurant. I would say its close to Olive garden(maybe not all of their entrees, but this one was on par). Nice atmosphere and worker was friendly. Would be one of my to go if you would like pasta to go.“

“Nice place if you want cupcakes that aren't overly sweet. I have heard a lot of good things about this place. I'm not quite sure if it's overhyped or just right. It's a nice place if you're in the area but I'm not sure I'd go out of my way to come back for more. The cupcakes are good but not that special.“

The Maui salad was also excellent, with perfectly seared tuna, but had a very large salad portion. Only small down was my wife asked for the dressing on the side, and it came in two separate very tiny portions, maybe a tablespoon each at best…for a huge salad. Had to ask for more, and our server again brought two more tiny portions, which was then enough. Not sure how it would have come if we had not asked for the dressing on the side, one seemed to be for the tuna, the other for the actual salad itself. Either way, very good, but a very large salad, a bit too much for lunch.Again, very much enjoy coming here.Will I come back…absolutely!Would I recommend …most definitely!“

“Fairfax Dr. that ends in its black has about 100 or more metered parking spaces and more than 50% was vacant on Saturday at 9:00am. Bottled/canned drinks available. Small iced coffee took less than 1 minute to be ready. I was able to enjoy my own music with open ear headset but I had to walk outside when I received a call because the caller couldn't hear me well.“

“We just randomly picked this for brunch before we drive back home after a weekend in DC. I'm not exaggerating that is was the best part of the trip. I took pictures cuz it was so beautiful. We ate outside and we're surrounded by natural beauty. The food was excellent too. If anything, it was so rich, I couldn't eat it all. Coffee was great. “I want to update my review of Josephine from New Year's Eve. I wish I could leave the other up to show how much better my second time was, but maybe that's for the best.Let me just say this: I have never been happier to be wrong about something. Truly, my most recent experience at Josephine was like night and day compared to the NYE episode.My wife and I met a friend of ours for dinner last Sunday. We were greeted immediately by the folks at the host station who showed us to our table upstairs. The aesthetic upstairs is really quite lovely. From there our wait staffer, Daisha, guided us through multiple courses of culinary delight.I started with their pea and mint soup, which was something I'd never had before. It was well balanced and didn't push too much in the direction of pea or mint. It's something I hope to try again. For my entree I had the boeuf bourguignon. The beef and carrot mixture was nestled into a mashed potato vessel that gave a charming elevation to French country fare. I was particularly impressed with the herb-y flavor of the mashed potatoes, it married well with the beef/carrots/sauce.My wife had the salmon, which came topped with a very generous portion of smokey roe. She loved the way the smokiness complimented the salmon. Our friend also went with seafood and had the shrimp and scallops. I was lucky enough to get a bite of the scallops which were well seasoned and almost buttery smooth in the center. Their sauce americaine was delightful.Finally, to make up for being out of desserts on NYE the staff sent us the creme brullee AND the opera cake, which we're both a delight.We also had a few martinis (the 50:50 was a stand out, especially if you're like me and like vermouth), a decaffeinated cappuccino, and more than enough Coke.A magnificent experience.“

“Nice setting, thought the food was ok. Oysters were decent though I did have a really sharp piece of shell that thank goodness I didn’t swallow. Not the best if you have a dairy intolerance. Ended up having the burger with no bun and no cheese, was originally told I couldn’t have the burger and had to choose something else. Wasn’t offered a lot of help on the intolerance front.“

“All vegetarian and/or vegan tacos and gluten-free for my wife... I can say that I was skeptical about this place for sure. However, the tacos won me over. The three taco deal is almost too much good food and between my wife and I, we tried all the tacos on the menu. Everyone probably raves about the creamy kale and potato taco, and it was certainly good, but the Moroccan carrot taco was the closest winner for us. I would rank the next three after the carrot as the kale-potato, the garlic greens (lots of collards in this one and very good!), then the mushroom one. Got a coffee, too, and it was pretty good as they brew Vigilante there. Definitely didn't hurt that it was beautiful fall day today, so we ate outside by the river rather than staying in the very small restaurant itself. Price was eleven bucks for three tacos, but I'd've been happy with two. Three would be good if you're hungry, but for a regular meal, two was plenty. Def check this place out.UPDATE APRIL 2024:Tacos are still excellent, though the veganism is no longer mandatory, so there are more options. The carrot one I loved before was not available, but that could just be for today as I'm sure the menu changes seasonally, if not more frequently. This time I had the usual kale/potato, a mushroom taco, and the cabbage taco. The kale potato was the clear winner this time, primarily because the salsa on it is so good. The mushroom was next best and finally the cabbage. I think the cabbage just needed a bit of texture. It was just some green cabbage that was braised, so believe the addition of some crunchy, raw red cabbage would have put it over the top, but to each their own. Still an excellent vegetarian/vegan lunch and with reasonable prices given the locale, so still worth a visit.“

“We started our morning off with an Iced Pistachio Cold Brew and Iced Sweet Mama Latte from Grounded Coffee Shop in Alexandria. We've been here several times, and it's always a solid choice. The place is cozy with plenty of seating. Plus, the staff is always very pleasant and helpful.“

Lebanese ashtaf chewy ice cream is like frozen Turkish delight. The small cup is perfect with up to three flavors. Add whatever flavors are on special to your ashtaf. “Ambiance: (5/5) Great decor, but this isn't a sit down restaurant, so there are only 3 seats. Price: (3/5) To me it was like a Korean chipotle, so I thought for that it was a little bit over priced. Food: (4/5) I got a premade spicy pork bowl and made a sauce alternation which was great. The kimchi was flavorful and I liked the other toppings too. I might have liked it better if I got white rice rather than the noodles. Service: (5/5) Food is assembled in front of you so it is quick. The staff is very nice.“

“Eating out should be a delight to a stressful day or make life easier. Having a gluten allergy makes it impossible at the best of times. Happy Tart is the answer! No worrying or asking for a gluten free menu or having cross contamination. Order with easy and peace of mind. Plus the food tastes amazing. Its flavor forward while still being gluten free.“

“A bakery that offers fresh baked goods, delicious sandwiches, and other types of hot and cold drinks. There is also a refrigerator that serves types of fresh fruits and yogurt with oats. The product prices are average, suitable for all groups. The workers are friendly. I recommend visiting it.“

“Recommended by a friend and their food did not disappoint. Very busy atmosphere and a long wait for a table (an hour on a Monday), but able to find a place at the bar (barely). Food came out fast and hot but they did forget my bacon I requested. Made to order and was made perfectly. Food tasted amazing. Everything made by hand which is impressive but you can tell staff was stretched thin (despite being well staffed, they were just that busy).“

“We had such a good experience with Classic Bakery when we used them for our wedding cake in April 2024. From the very start, the staff was friendly and welcoming. Zahra was very helpful and the cakes were much better than any other cake place we tried. We ordered a 3 tiered caked with 3 different flavors: Mango, lemon with raspberry, and fresh strawberries cake. We just got it with plain buttercream icing and added the flowers for decorations ourselves. The delivery was on time and without any issues. Guests raved about the cake. We actually over ordered by 15 slices and the cake still got over! People were going back for multiple servings! Highly recommend using classic bakery!“

“The service was great. The deli next to the restaurant is a great temptation to bring home all kinds of cheese, wine, and crackers. The food was definitely cheese forward. So in the case of the French onion soup, which was one of the best I've ever had, it was as much about the bread and very generous portion of gryere on top as it was about the very delicious onion broth. Conflicted over what I wanted to try, I noticed they had take and bake options on the menu, so I opted for the lasagna for dining in, and I got a mac and cheese to go. Like the formentioned French onion soup, this lasagna was more about the generous amount of cheese inside. Both options were fantastic. We shared a charcuterie board for four, and it was plenty to go around. The warmed olives and Manchego cheese were quite delicious, too. They live up to their name, so if you love cheese, this is a great restaurant to see how your favorite dishes can really elevate the cheese as the star ingredient.“

“The food is definitely worth going back for. It was noisy but you could still hear your dining partner. The clientele are slobs, like they just came off the beach. But I have seen this everywhere. Looking for a special occasion restaurant where guests dress respectfully? I haven't seen it in Fairfax. The popovers are great. The salmon has a nice mustard sauce. The $42 three-course meal is a good deal. You can share the salad and dessert.“

“A busy but amazing coffee shop that is more along the lines of a breakfast/lunch spot.You have to try the beignets! Love coming here, space inside fills up quickly however there is outside seating available. The breakfast and lunch menu is great, also the coffee/drinks are delicious.“

“Chirashi bowl here is my favorite. It's assembly is so pretty and it's very filling. The variety and quality of fish is really good! Service is fast and accommodating even when busy. My dad's allergic to egg, so they make sure to avoid adding imitation crab in his dish. Ambiance is casual and comfortable for any occasion dining. Seatings a bit cozy because it's a bit smaller size restaurant, but it doesn't feel too claustrophobic.“

“I came into the establishment around 215 to 20 and I waited at least 5 to 7 minutes for someone to notice me and come take my order. Some of the kitchen staff was watching me and I could tell they wanted to help but they were mending their stations the lady taking my order was not very helpful. She didn’t say hi to me. She simply stood in front of me didn’t seem to interested in my order so I had to figure out how to order exactly what I wanted since it was my first time the steak and cheese was delicious however so I will give it a four stars for the quality of the food but not very good customer service I’m not in the mood of going back and paying what I paid for awful customer service“
