“We had to change our reservation to 15 minutes later and they were very accommodating. They found a table for us within 10 minutes even though they were quite full on the Saturday before Mother's day. The host took our order shortly after and the waiter was very pleasant throughout. The food came out hot and was delicious. We ordered the seafood platters and the seafood was so fresh with a light batter. The calamari appetizer and shared bread pudding dessert were delicious. The popularity of this restaurant has grown a lot since we first discovered it years ago and the quality of the seafood dishes remain excellent.“

“Pretty good food at a reasonable price. This restaurant is very popular with the younger set, and there was quite a gathering of young working adults letting off some steam. Coincidentally, there were also a number of older couples like us coming for the good food at a decent price. It was pretty crowded for a Thursday evening, but we got a table at the height of the dinner hour. I imagine it would have waiting times on weekends. We had prime rib, nicely done, and salads. Fresh bread comes with the meal. A bit noisy, but the service was good.“

The name seemed familiar from one we had eaten at in Falls Church that was a favorite of ours. And we were pleasantly surprised that they are owned by the same people. We could taste the effort and love that goes into their cooking and how much they take pride in what they do. I think the food is just a bit better seasoned than their other location too. Everything tasted amazing and had our taste buds singing. We could not have asked for a better experience both times we were there for lunch and dinner and we feel most welcomed when we are there. They are wonderful proof that good food traverses boundaries and cultures amd brings people together as also witnessed by the other happy diners there of various ethnicities. Definitely on our list of places to go to and another local business we plan to support very often.Vegetarian options: I personally enjoyed the vegetable pakora, plain saag and chana masala. The only thing that could be better would be a mixed vegetarian option on their main menu either as a entree or appetizer so I could explore more vegetarian dishes before committing to just one.Dietary restrictions: I enjoyed the facts that they were gluten free, nut free and dairy free options as there are times I'm unable to consume these if I'm having digestive issues.Parking: There are quite a few food places as well as a smaller Walmart so parking can be a little challenging though we had no problems finding spots.“

“My partner and I enjoyed a meal on the patio of the Commentary. We were seated by Nishat who was incredibly pleasant and took the time to discuss the menu with us. He recommended some new items which we decided to try. We started with the shishito peppers and ceviche Del Mar. Although a simple dish, the peppers were prepared expertly and were unlike other appetizers I’ve had before. They were flavorful and the sauce had a just enough of a kick. The ceviche is incredibly fresh and citrusy. It is different than typical ceviches, the ingredients meld well together and the yucca chips accompany the dish well. We both tried the poblano burger which by far is the best burger I’ve ever eaten. The meat is juicy, the toppings are fresh, and the addition of the poblano slices made this the perfect spring/summer burger. All in all this was an amazing meal to enjoy outside on the patio. The service was wonderful, Jose was sure to check in and also offered his recommendations (the poke bowl). We will definitely be back!“

It's a bit dark with the chess/checkered floor tiles with tables all around surrounding the bar area. But you do get a Cheers vibe with all the locals/regulars who stop in here for quick eats. As mentioned in previous reviews, all the servers are usually college students who make sure your beer is filled and you've had enough to eat. Eats start and end with their hot dogs, usually with chili and cheese if you're being proper. It's not the greatest chili cheese dog and sometimes you may wonder why you're ordering it. But the price and nostalgia always hit the spot and the taste reminds you why you're in here. Other eats I recommend are the wings (surprisingly good) and the fried zucchini (always eat your veggies!). Beer is either domestic or local brews that are Vienna Lager. Served in those classic cold mugs, the 80's-90's bar vibes hit once you pick it up and sip from it. Plus they are affordable compared to other places so that's a win in my book. As for other beverages, they have a serve-yourself soda station so you can get as many fills your stomach can handle. “I love this place. The staff are fantastic at calming things down when playtime gets too rowdy or when one dog seems overwhelmed, and they clean up any waste right away. It's really obvious that everyone who works here really loves dogs, and they welcomed my dog Murphy like family!
