The mezze of dips like hummus, baba ghanoush, coban salata...more are paired perfectly with warm bread and is my favourite. Lamb chops, kasap kofte, adana kebab & chicken kabob served hot offer a bit of everything protein wise. Overall, this is one of those dinners that speak to me. It's a little bit of everything but enough to be full after and goes so well with a glass of wine. The chicken in the shawarma bowl was delicious due to the marination and being submerged in sauce. It comes with two sides, and the shawarma sauce was good as well. “Absolutely a gem! This is one of the best Mediterranean restaurants in the area. We ordered a gyro combo with the feta fries, the steak souvlaki platter with the rice pilaf and side salad, another gyro, and the tirokafteri appetizer. The steak souvlaki was cooked perfectly medium rare, so juicy and so soft. The rice pilaf side dish and the side salad were so rich and plentiful. Then the gyros were huge! The gyros tasted so fresh and were high quality. My photos did not do the gyros justice ?, and make sure to order the feta fries! What a fun and cheesy take, the lemon paired really well with the feta.And what surprised me most was how delicious tirokafteri appetizer is, especially when they served it with hot freshly toasted pita. I’ve never tried it before, and this is a great appetizer to share with a group. Really 10/10 experience especially after all the employees and manager were so friendly and checking in on our experience so far. I’ll definitely be back.There is also plenty of parking available immediately outside of the restaurant or in the garage next door. “May 2024 update: Fava Pot has become hands down one of my favorite restaurants in the broader Washington DC area. The quality of food remains consistently strong and super tasty; probably the best hummus and fresh baked pita I've had in a long time, for starters. This place has become our default go-to for anytime we want tasty food. It's also great for bringing guests since the menu is large and diverse, so can accommodate pretty much any dietary needs.
