“Delicious!We visited on saturday lunch and were seated after few minutes of a wait.We ordered the wild mushroom flatbread, chicken benedict and the tuna salad.Everything was amazing!Flatbread had nice truffle aroma with ample mushroom toppings, tuna salad was fresh and cooked just right, but wow the biscuits on the benedict blew me away!!Service was cordial and straight to the point.Will return to try more menus“

“First time here tonight. Our group of three had the cod tacos, steak wedge salad and Cubano sandwich and all was delicious. Our server was Shauna and she did a great job for us - listened well and made good recommendations for us - very personable and very good at her job. It was a little loud due to being crowded so a little hard to hear - otherwise nearly perfect experience. Would definitely go back!“

“We had lunch at this restaurant over the weekend and enjoyed the delicious food. The ambiance was terrific, with a spacious and stylish setting that featured inviting wooden elements and exposed pipes on the ceiling. Although the service was decent, there is room for improvement to enhance the overall dining experience.“

“The food was good, just like every CPK. It's what keeps us coming back! The restaurant was clean, and the atmosphere was fun.The service was just OK. Our server wasn't very warm or engaging. She seemed a bit bothered, but she got everything correct and refilled our drinks. It could have just been an off day, and it didn't ruin our visit. It was just not what we were accustomed to from CPK staff.The hostess, however, was rude! She wasn't rude to us, but she wasn't friendly. She was very rude to another customer who was dining alone. She tried to seat the customer at a table that was very small for the customer's size and was also in a busy walkway. The customer politely asked if she could sit at another, close by table, and the hostess said it wasn't available, even though no one was sitting there. So the customer asked for another table on the other side of the restaurant, and the hostest suggested she just sit at the tiny table she was standing at. The customer was clearly getting uncomfortable and embarrassed and pointed out a third table that she would prefer. The hostess finally relented, but she was not happy about it. Luckily, the customer's server jumped in and was extra friendly and made her feel welcome and comfortable.It was an uncomfortable situation to watch. The hostess should have been more intuitive and sensitive when seating someone of larger size and someone who was sitting alone. A customer's comfort should be taken into account and accommodated when the restaurant has multiple available tables. It wasn't busy.“

“I must say this place is becoming a favorite! I’ve gone for now brunch and dinner and it’s been a wonderful experience on both occasions. The brunch is buffet style which was not my ideal choice BUT gave a great opportunity to try multiple things on the menu and explore some really tasty options. The drinks were cool as well. This is going to be a go to for a weekend meal !“

“We were celebrating a birthday, and asked for a quiet table, and we were seated in the Wine Room, and it was perfect. We shared a calamari appetizer, and had halibut and crab cakes for the entrees. We shared key lime pie for dessert, and the restaurant provided a special birthday dessert. Service was excellent, and the food was delicious.“

“This place is a true local gem. Food is of very high quality, and everything is consistently cooked to perfection. Their consistency is actually really impressive - I’ve never been disappointed by a single thing, and I’ve eaten A LOT of their food. But everything is so good, so I haven’t really made my way outside of the same few items from their menu. The difference is that the staff actually care about their customers, and take pride in their food. It’s not so common these days, and is a pleasant surprise. It’s the reason I will always eat there.“

“First time dining here and loved it. Brought my wife for her birthday and they personalized the menu and brought her a decadent dessert on the house. Calamari breading is immaculate and Wagyu tartare was done very well with some micro greens. Our waiter claimed the duck was the best he’s had and truthfully it was in the highest echelon. The serving of lobster with ravilolini was generous. Such yummy dessert too (had the pineapple mojito). Was a little skeptical given it’s in Falls Church in an office building but pleasantly pleased ?“

“Ellie Bird has been on our list to try since they opened. Like their sister restaurant Rooster & Owl, the menu is both refined and rustic, with an emphasis on small plates great for sharing. We went for dinner and ordered the bread basket, spring green salad, Vietnamese french onion soup, salted cod rangoons, pomelo larb, braised lamb shank and chocolate cake. The pineapple buns are a carry over from Rooster & Owl that I’d happily eat with every meal. The Vietnamese french soup is aptly named, a wonderful combination of richly aromatic braised oxtail broth reminiscent of a fabulous pho with the oniony, cheesy, crouton goodness of a classic french onion. The rangoons are a perfect execution of an American Thai staple and the pomelo larb burst with flavor. The lamb shank, expertly cooked and glazed, was easily split between the two of us and sat on a bed of herbaceous tabouleh.A delay in getting us to our seats at the chefs counter resulted in several comped plates throughout the meal and we were very grateful for the above and beyond. The asparagus and pine berry salad added to our starter course was a true delight, who knew they were such a good pair!I’ll be interested to see how the restaurant continues to evolve. While Rooster & Owl remains our go-to for special occasions, we will absolutely come back to Ellie Bird with friends and family in tow and certainly recommend it to anyone looking for a great meal.“

The two of us ordered one lunch special of meatball and baby kale flatbread with asparagus soup, and a Maui Tuna Crunch salad. The flatbread was amazing, the sliced meatballs very flavorful, and the asparagus soup excellent. They do offer a gluten sensitive flatbread if desired. The Maui salad was also excellent, with perfectly seared tuna, but had a very large salad portion. Only small down was my wife asked for the dressing on the side, and it came in two separate very tiny portions, maybe a tablespoon each at best…for a huge salad. Had to ask for more, and our server again brought two more tiny portions, which was then enough. Not sure how it would have come if we had not asked for the dressing on the side, one seemed to be for the tuna, the other for the actual salad itself. Either way, very good, but a very large salad, a bit too much for lunch.Again, very much enjoy coming here.Will I come back…absolutely!Would I recommend …most definitely!“

“This cute, friendly American restaurant will not disappoint. Suitable for couples, families, and small groups, everyone can enjoy the comfortable ambience. Service was attentive and accommodating throughout the meal. Oh, and what a meal it was! I started with the fennel and arugula salad, which was refreshing and scrumptious. This restaurant is owned and solely operated by a couple, and it’s shown with the passion they put in their dishes and service. The menu is seasonal depending on local farm ingredients, and decision with a Lithuanian twist on dishes. “This is a very unassuming restaurant tucked away in an old shopping center. Doesn't look like much inside or out, but the food is fabulous. I've been to plenty of places in the DMV which claim this "New York" aesthetic and this is the best I've been to so far. The staff is incredibly friendly and always attentive. My partner has made friends with the girl who works the register. I'm sure she does so much for the establishment and it makes the place a comfort to spend some time in. “The food is definitely worth going back for. It was noisy but you could still hear your dining partner. The clientele are slobs, like they just came off the beach. But I have seen this everywhere. Looking for a special occasion restaurant where guests dress respectfully? I haven't seen it in Fairfax. The popovers are great. The salmon has a nice mustard sauce. The $42 three-course meal is a good deal. You can share the salad and dessert.“

“Green Pig Bistro is always a solid place for brunch, from the grits to the waffles and benedicts. However, if you arrive later in the day (i.e. after 12:30 PM), they will most likely be out of the cinnamon rolls and banana bread, which has happened to us multiple times and is a bit disappointing. The sweet stuffed waffles also once came without the advertised cornflakes because they had run out of those too--and the cornflakes are arguably a very important component since it gives the waffles that great crunch and added texture. It would've been helpful to be informed that this ingredient was missing prior to having the dish served.Parking: There's a free parking garage for the building with limited spaces. Otherwise, there's metered street parking.“

“We went to the restaurant down at the wharf….. To start, the hostess at the front was on her phone and not really paying any mind to the people walking in the door. Come to find out after that was the floor manager. Then we get sat and none of the workers talk about who is in charge of that section. We did. It get me is or silverware. The very nice bartender comes up, gets us some water and menus gets us started and finally the sever comes over to us. The server took our order and checked on us twice. When the food was brought to the table we still didn’t have silverware and had to ask the food runner. Our server had a a ten top when we arrived and she was checking on her the whole time not paying any mind to the other tables she has. It was to the point I had to go up to someone ask for water refill bc both our glasses were empty. We finish our meals that were very good and no one but the bartenders are on the floor. I see our sever walk over to the restroom, she comes out looks at us and sees that we are sitting doing nothing, then walks over to a new 10 top and disappears. It’s at thing point I now have to walk over to the bartender and get our check and they are the ones that cash us out. Thank you to the bartender that took care of us“

“Yard House is a relaxed spot for happy hour and/or upgraded bar food. The restaurant / bar is very modern. This is a nice place to have dinner before catching a movie at Regal Cinemas next door. We shared the onion ring tower and the 20 oz bone-in ribeye blackened with shrimp and crispy brussel sprouts. Onion rings were crispy and the steak was amazingly tender. My husband still talks about it.“
