“Aldo’s is my absolute favorite restaurant! I am a very picky eater. My husband, (boyfriend at the time) , took me to Aldo’s on one of our first dates in 1990. If he was trying to impress me..it worked! Jim, the owner, has been there since the beginning and he is amazing! He has treated us like gold for 34 years now! He has sent wine and dessert over on our anniversary, compliments of the restaurant! He always asks us how everything was and of course, it’s always perfect! I have never had an issue. The atmosphere is incredible, very romantic and relaxing. There is live piano and the wait staff are top notch. Jim only hires the best! They have authentic Italian food that has so much flavor and there is nothing like it! I highly recommend Aldo’s for fine dining and just an overall fabulous experience!”

“The food was outstanding. I've never had such a flavorful, well seasoned, perfectly cooked chicken breast. I tried my partner's snapper, and it was also scrumptious. Try the shishito peppers!! We were doted on by the staff (wait staff and manager) and it was greatly appreciated. We had to wait 15 minutes for a table which really isn't bad for a Friday night in a popular spot. “We dined at The Porch over the weekend. Truthfully I would only give 3.5 stars. Don’t get me wrong, the food was delicious and the service was very good. However, the restaurant was VERY warm and we did not like that we had to swat away flies the entire time we ate. Plus we were celebrating my sons birthday who is dairy free, and they didn’t have any dairy free desserts, so we couldn’t sing happy birthday to him.”

“Stopped here on a whim as we were leaving Virginia Beach and we were so glad we did. Loved the food. We had the shrimp and grits and our son had the pancakes. That was the best shrimp and grits my husband and I have had . Our 17 year old said his pancakes were the best he had ever had. And if you want coffee, they have the BEST!!!! Atmosphere is amazing. All the staff were friendly, and very helpful. Get there early before the doughnuts sell out. Purchased doughnuts for the road and let me say, you will not be disappointed. We will definitely be going back when we return in July. Everyone needs to try this place. It is so worth it!!!!”

So I go to the window to pay and they see Aurora and take my card. I asked if the pup cup was on there and she said they had something different. So now me and Aurora go to pick up our food. So I grabbed the bag with the quarter pounder and fries and she gives me another bag. So I look and see chocolate chip cookies. I went to turn back and tell her that she wouldn't be able to eat them and in her hand she had a cup of whip cream just for Aurora! I feel bad for not having much time to thank them and when I looked back at the recipe it only had the fries and burger. I found it really sweet that they gave us free cookies and a pup cup. Aurora really enjoyed her pup cup and we look forward to coming back soon!”

We have been here at least 6 times, over 3 years, our last time it just wasn't the same, off season, the man at the fish counter was not helpful, had no customers, but really didn't want to answer any of my questions, such as;; any fresh wild caught salmon? NO, Any fresh wild caught fish, Non came in today. So we went and got a seat, our waitress had two tables, not really a happy person, eaither didn't know, or was flat, it took a while, my salad was small, my broiled fish was stuck to the dish, and over cooked. Forget about a refill on the drinks. The time before this was just OK, if this was my first visit, I would never have returned.”

“When I graduated with my bachelor’s degree, I moved back home to Virginia Beach to begin an online master’s degree program, which was not exactly what I wanted. Nevertheless, I decided to make the most of a less-than-ideal situation through the ultimate studying essential: coffee. I made it a mission to try as many coffee shops in the area as possible and can’t decide if it was a good or bad idea to start with 17 Hands because instead of branching out, I just kept coming back!I was initially drawn to 17 Hands for such a fun assortment of specialty flavors. My quick perusing of their social media accounts indicated a fun atmosphere, so I had to check it out myself. While it’s not somewhere I would go to study, I can confirm the vibes are good. The first drink I tried was the fluffernutter latte, which was a gamble. I am passionate about peanut butter but had never considered pairing it with coffee, and it did not disappoint. As you can probably surmise from the pictures attached, many more fun beverages have since been consumed! I can confidently say that 17 Hands has my favorite cold brew in the area. And what’s not to love about a coffee shop with house-made flavored whipped cream?!One slight drawback is that 17 Hands is no secret—it can get busy on the weekends, and you might have to wait for your drink. That said, I will continue to campaign that good coffee or their INCREDIBLE house-made chai is worth the wait. Come with a friend-- it’s just extra time to enjoy each other’s company, and once the caffeine hits your system, any residual grumpiness is guaranteed to leave your body.All that to say, I will continue to refer friends to 17 Hands. I’ve sampled some other coffee shops, but something keeps pulling me back to 17 Hands. What started as a let’s-make-the-best-of-a-less-than-ideal-situation has now morphed into “Let’s go to 17 Hands to celebrate!””

I'll definitely be hitting the drive thru for breakfast and hopefully the ice cream freezer will be back up and running so we can try the homemade ice cream and especially the BoBoccino! “It had been almost a decade since I've frequented this restaurant. Previously my friend & I had eaten in the bar area. It seemed small then with a limited menu. It has either expanded or I wasn't aware of the larger dining room. My son was here for Mother's Day & he suggested 1608 Crafthouse because of a web site he checks for restaurant choices, mostly in large cities. There were a few local recommendations for Hampton Roads. This restaurant was one of them. So we decided to give it a try. It was a pleasant surprise to walk into the spacious dining area with ample space between tables and booths. There were even brave souls in the outside seating. It was much too chilly for me to consider an outdoor table. The dining space was furnished with the typical tables & booths aimed at the casually dressed patrons. They included a mix of families and what appeared to be groups of friends. Service was prompt with our server bringing menus and water. She also took our drink orders. Silverware was wrapped in a paper napkin with a supply pre-placed in a box at the end of the table. The menu was quite unusual. Sandwich & Burger line items were interspersed with wonderful entree choices. Not being a fan of sandwiches & large burgers, my mind scanned through the menu items to find seafood or fish. My son first gravitated to the Appetizers, which he loves but I usually pass up. I'm certainly glad he was my dining partner as one appetizer was one I'm glad I didn't miss. Drink - Bourbon Splash This was one choice I couldn't rank high. The drink arrived tasting like straight lime juice & was not drinkable. The server was nice about taking it back. The replacement was slightly better but had way too much lime juice. I'm rounding up from 1.5 to 2 because the bar used ice chunks rather than crushed ice. Appetizer - Brussel Sprouts with Shishito Peppers This was amazing & a solid 5. From the presentation to the taste it was absolute perfection. The large halved Brussel Sprouts were so tender that they had the consistency of Mushrooms. The Shishito Peppers, mixed with the Brussel Sprouts had the perfect amount of kick. You absolutely cannot overlook this culinary masterpiece. Appetizer - Oysters on the Half Shell This was another miss. Not only were there no Oyster forks furnished, there were no extra napkins for what is always a wonderful but "messy on the hands" treat. The James River Oysters didn't taste fresh. My son, another Oyster connoisseur, agreed. Rating 1.5 only because they were Oysters Entree - Dry Packed Butter Scollops with Carrot Purée & Vegetable Couscous Another solid 5+. Great presentation, perfectly Prepared Grilled Scallops served atop the perfect choices to complement the Scallops. I can't wait to have this dish again. Entree - Cioppino My son rated his Italian American Fish Stew a solid 5. It, too, was served with a perfect presentation. I'll have to try it on future visits. If....I can convince myself to not have the Scallops again, The restaurant is located in the corner space of a small shopping center on the east side of Pleasure House Road, midway between its intersections with Independence & Northampton Boulevard. There is plentiful parking. It's well worth a visit even if you're in another part of the Metro. Reservations are accepted only for larger groups. I will return, most certainly very soon. I'm sorry I've been absent for so long.”

Then if you have never played (like us) they give you a nice lesson and tell you to make a few practice shots. Now lets get to the food. We got sliders, wings, waffle fries, and a hummus tray. All of it came out fast and wonderful. The sliders were perfect in every way and the perfect size. Wings had alot of flavor, they are finger licking good. Ok, you know I got a cocktail. Bahama Mama was excellent and a really good size, I highly recommend all the food and definitely order a drink. YUMMMM. Everything was wonderful. Happy staff, great location, tasty food and wonderful drinks. I can't wait to go back. I was the big winner By The Way. This is a must if your in the Virginia Beach area. The desserts were freshly made cookies and brownies. Sooo... good!!!For the entertainment, I don't want to spoil it but the actors were very good and funny. Yesterday was my birthday and the weather was gorgeous so we decided lunch at the oceanfront and walking the boardwalk was the way to go. We were immediately sat on the balcony at a nice table with an ocean view and you could hear the waves. Our server, Nathan, was stellar. Attentive but not annoying, prompt, efficient and super polite. He was wonderful. He asked if we wanted drink refills to go, he came to tell us he'd checked on our food and our ticket was up next after we'd waited a while, he was just doing everything right. I had the grilled chicken club with bacon, cheese, lettuce, tomato and honey mustard on a potato bun. It was legit delish. Simple, but good and came with some delicious crispy fries. Hubs also got the steamed shrimp and cesear salad. Both very good. They have butter cake - I gotta know. And key lime pie. I'll be trying and reporting on those later on.... Noms. Looks like a dive tourist trap - but actually pretty good food and menu. I'm going locals gem.”

“Came here for dinner on a Sunday night. They have valet parking which is nice because it's not always easy to find parking at the oceanfront. We were there right when they opened at 5 pm and sat right away. They do have a bar area and a HH which is pretty good but tonight was about eating a meal. They did bring bread to the table which was very good. I ordered the Penne alla vodka, someone else got the Fettuccine Alfredo and the others got eggplant parmesan. Everyone enjoyed the meal. I saw some pizza coming out for another table and it looked delicious. We also got a cheesecake and tiramisu for dessert. The tiramisu was made with kahlua and not served in the traditional style but it was delicious!!! Our waiter took wonderful care of us - his name was Jessy. Nice, attentive, knowledgeable and funny! Excellent Caesar salad with a nice umami, enhancing the cheese and dressing with sardines. (Just two, don't freak - they don't dominate the salad.) I was pleasantly surprised at the cleanliness of the place from the windows, counters, tables and carpets. (Yes, I look at that stuff) The manager & staff were great too. “I and my son and husband spent Mothers day at Texas Roadhouse and I first hand know holidays are hectic in the service industry and not everyone is nice. That goes for both customers and employees. But we had a very very very good experience tonight. TRH always hits the spot for us but this review is more for our server.Aja was our waitress tonight and she was an absolute dream. She was very nice, very attentive, and was quick to make sure everything was right and if we forgot something or needed anything she was right on it. I could tell that it had been a rough night and that she would much prefer to be with family for mothers day. But she still smiled and had a great attitude. She deserves to be recognized for her service and praised by her employer. I wish I could have given her a hug, I felt like she needed one. She is a gem ? in the service industry. Aja if you do see this one day please know you're appreciated and to keep kicking a**!♥︎♡♥︎♡♥︎♡♥︎”

“Excellent food and drinks. Waiter was running as fast as he could and did a great job. Table management less than stellar. Multiple parties all sitting for 30-45 minutes despite all having a reservation. We'll be back again because the kitchen was stellar and the waiter was kind and attentive despite being rushed.”

I love this place not only that it's affordable as well, so if you're looking for a cheap place to go to in the 757 area for Boba, I recommend this place !!”

“Had a decent amount of games/activity's to play. Bar with food menu as well as private party rooms and big screens with different sports on them. They are attached to the mall so when you're done there you have easy access to shopping.”

“Stopped here on a random Tuesday and had a great time! The owners were super attentive, explaining the process and telling us how everything works. The char-voo-derie board was amazeballs. Every beer we tried was delicious. Sat on the patio at the end and the wind took a hold of my empty glass, sorry guys! Hope you let us come back! Service and atmosphere was top-notch, thank you! “The staff is excellent and always friendly! Our son proposed to his girlfriend here and they did an amazing job setting it up for him. He dropped the ring off and by dessert they had a plate decorated. She had no idea! Our waiter was awesome!, and every visit that I have been there they are always friendly and attentive. We are so glad to have Sorella’s in the neighborhood!”

Was able to meet the owner, I can say that they are friendly & accommodating to the costumers; equally lovely as the staffs.The menu were appetizing with justifiable prices. Well recommended!”

“Son noticed this location (Fairfield Shopping Center, VB) and asked if I had tried/felt like eating wings...it's been longer than I thought. I downloaded their App, selected this location for 'pick up', and ordered the 40 wings deal. Spicy Korean BBQ, Mango Habanero, Hot Honey Rub are what we decided on...All were delicious! (I've had their lemon pepper and barbecue before elsewhere, this new location is keeping the flavors right as well)! Meal comes with 4 dipping sauce choices, 1 large fries and 2 veggies trays/dips. I upgraded for fries for 1 of veggies for $2+... We'll be eating from there more often, especially for the wings but also for location!”

“This is by far the WORST service I've ever got from a Wingstop. They gave me the wrong order. I called to advise them of the issue and was put in hold. The GM answered ( no one ever told me I was being transferred nor did I ask for a manager) he was so Rude and has zero customer service skills he should be fired. He told me I could come get it ( no way to do that) so i asked for a refund. He said ok and hung up in my face. I called back to ensure it was processed and he said very rude that it was processed. I asked him for the order number and his name and he told me I don't need his name, he didn't have the order number and that I was entitled and he hung up in my face again. I'm beyond disappointed and feel disrespected by the GM who is supposed to represent your brand. Sad to say I'll never choose to spend my money here again and it's all because of the GM onsite 5/31 @ 12pm .
